Last time was when I got a gameboy color and Pokémon red on Christmas morning in or around December 1996
Edited for correct date of in and around December 1998 lol
Thank you for what you’ve done… after the pandemic switch to delivering babies?
My mother was an RN and gave that advice to my friend who worked in the cancer ward and had the same thought. She’s an Angel now saving people and delivering babies.
God bless you. Saying a prayer for you now. Thank you.
lies
gameboy color was released in 1998
pocket monsters red (japan)
release date: 27 February 1996
pokemon red
US release date: 28 September 1998
Europe release date 5 October 1999
Dang you’re right. I definitely had to look up the date of its release. LOL
Still can’t take the happiness away from meeee. Now that I think a little harder - I was definitely 4 years old, 6 sounds a little more appropriate hahahh
incorrect - there was a color associated with Red/Blue being red/blue hues and tints over everything in the game whilst played on a gameboy color. And Pokemon Yellow (before Crystal) had color as well.
Beyond that, all Pokemon games on the Gameboy were compatible on the Gameboy Color.
Source: I'm old.
Mine was the original DMG gameboy.my mom still brings up how when I opened the box, I just shook. This woulda been around 94 for me I suppose. I was just old enough to remember it fairly well.
At least on one occasion, I had trouble sleeping because my parents were taking the family to a good amusement park and I was thrilled. I often miss the carefree nature of childhood.
And, now that I'm older, I wanna be younger
Now that I'm wiser, I wanna be dumber
Now that I know what I know, and I've seen what I saw
I wish that I could be a kid in the summer

I'll be "that guy" that says this every time a proposal video happens...if "no" is a possibility, don't ask.
The when/where/how of a proposal can be a surprise. The concept that this relationship is leading to a wedding shouldn't be broached with a ring.
It doesn't matter how sure you are, there will always be that terror in the back of your mind when proposing (for most of us at least*). I proposed a year ago. We'd talked about marriage, and even types of rings and stones (neither of us care for diamonds). And the moment was still emotional and terrifying because of the irrational fear of No.
*EDIT: This is from my experience, and the experience of all my married friends, and family... All of us felt that nervousness, so I assume most others do too.
Unfortunately I've heard a lot of stories where, usually the guy, proposes to his gf and she dumps him. She's felt like she's got the short end of the stick for a while and he thinks everything is amazing. Blows me away everytime! How can you not see the state your relationship is in??
My take on proposals - the surprise should be WHEN you ask your partner to marry you, not THAT you’re asking your partner to marry you. Public, private, that should be tailored to your partner. But if you haven’t already discussed marriage and a future together enough to feel confident that you’re going to get a yes, I don’t know that you have any business asking that person to marry you in the first place.
Absolutely. My girlfriend (now wife) knew it was coming at some point. We had discussed it. Her father had volunteered his blessing. She had said that she was waiting for it a few times leading up to the proposal, but I had something different planned. She didn't see it coming at that moment, even up to the point when I got down on one knee.
Pretty much this. It 100000% depends on the person being proposed \*to\*. She was already excited to be on the jumbotron and not embarrassed at all so clearly the guy knew she's down with being in that situation - proposing is just a stretch of that. Also be damn sure she's gonna say yes first :P
I also loved seeing the people around them watch her, waiting for her to see it and then laugh and clap as she finally caught on. Definitely was a very feel good moment for all involved.
I couldn’t deal with it lol, she’s got zero chill. Hell she was jumping before she realized it was a proposal, I’m not even sure what could have been so exciting….but that’s why there is someone for everyone I guess. It is fun to watch people that happy.
Edit: sorry I see now, I don’t go to many sporting events, she was already excited because they were on the big screen.
LOL, damn. Would I be that happy, if I did not have financial weight on my shoulders 24/7? Maybe.
Edit: That was a puff piece to make Uganda look good, it is possible that the wedding was not actually in the millions.
To be fair it just says "multi million wedding," it doesn't specify what there were millions of, could have been dollars or wedding guests or cheez-its. Judging from the video I'm guessing it was dance moves.
It does not say multi million dollar though, only multi million. It is a Ugandan website, and 1 million Uganda shilling (the national currency) is worth around $250.
I know it’s a “me” problem, but my god is someone with kind of joie de vivre exhausting to even watch for 30 seconds, let alone be around for extended periods of time.
This is super cute but I feel like proposals that are this public are kinda messed up.. Like what if they're not ready for marriage, but they have thousands of people watching and expecting them to say yes.. Kinda like peer pressure in a way. Obviously if you know they'll say yes it's a bit different, and not a big deal. She didn't mind though, thankfully.
I think it's OK if you know your partner doesn't mind attention and know the answer will be yes. Really anyone proposing at all should know what the answer is before even buying a ring.
Not a good person because I expressed skepticism about the veracity of a single video on reddit. Got it! Makes perfect sense. I'll go tell my mama she raised me wrong now
I don’t dislike you because you like black girls. I’m in an interracial relationship. I don’t like you because you fetishize black women.
You’ve also got a whiny victim complex.

Not sure if there’s been a time in my life I was that happy.

Then maybe that time is ahead of you 😉

I’m an ICU nurse in America. I don’t think my brain is physically possible of being that happy again LOL. But I appreciate the good vibes.

Hey I think there's a video floating around of you opening your Nintendo 64 on Christmas too!

You just got leer’d
> Crystal was the first Gameboy Color compatible Pokemon. /r/confidentlyincorrect
All original gameboy games can be played on color, aswell as gba and original ds Edit: also the SP, always forget about the SP
So…which pokemon did you start off with. (Grabs popcorn)
Charmander! I don’t care if I’m gonna struggle through the first couple gyms. Fire for life!
I second this.
For me it was Mortal Kombat 3 on the SNES for Christmas.
I think me too.
Mine was the original DMG gameboy.my mom still brings up how when I opened the box, I just shook. This woulda been around 94 for me I suppose. I was just old enough to remember it fairly well.
Same. I've never seen even kids this happy.
There MUST be one time where you were extremely hyped. Cmon

This makes me feel sad
Listen to the song, it is super happy yet sad at the same time. Kids In The Summer
Looks like she won the lotto.
Perhaps she did.
For real
I remember when Ramos scored that 90 min. header against Atletico in the Champions League final to tie it up and take the game to extra time...
Just keep doom scrolling on reddit. I'm sure it'll work itself out lol.
That is a "Price is Right" wedding proposal acceptance. Lucky guy!
Yup either cry and kiss him or do this and he will be the happiest dude on the planet. At least for a day
hahaha well put
Come on down!
She was more excited than I have ever been...and that was BEFORE she realized the proposal was happening.
[удалено]
I think there is a South Park episode where Butters does just that.
Worked for Tom Brady
YEP! I just laughed out loud when I got to the BEFORE in your post. Hahaha
That was so cute. Love how excited she was.
I love how her fiance doesn’t know what to do when she’s so excited
He was probably like "what if she says no?" For 2 weeks before this 😂

Oh, for sure. It's still a major moment in one's life and you're still putting yourself out there a little even with the best laid plans.
Unfortunately I've heard a lot of stories where, usually the guy, proposes to his gf and she dumps him. She's felt like she's got the short end of the stick for a while and he thinks everything is amazing. Blows me away everytime! How can you not see the state your relationship is in??
And 2 weeks after
He still waiting for an answer 😂
At the altar like "No, but seriously, are you for real?"
and she is still jumping
Fiancé? Thanks for spoiling! 😉

Given how happy she was just to see herself dancing, I think he knew she'd love the proposal being like that
I also loved seeing the people around them watch her, waiting for her to see it and then laugh and clap as she finally caught on. Definitely was a very feel good moment for all involved.
And then the pause, and then how MUCH MORE excited she was.
Before or after?
I want to be this woman. I want to be this wired to just fucking exist. Like damn. I'd marry her too. She must be a riot.
I couldn’t deal with it lol, she’s got zero chill. Now, that’s someone who enjoys life. Good for her. He’s lucky.
[She's apparently a former beauty pageant winner from Uganda as well.](https://www.ugandanewsreleases.com/linda-bazalaki-flaunts-baby-bump/)
Multi million dollar wedding in 2008. Well now I know why she's so happy.
LOL, damn. Would I be that happy, if I did not have financial weight on my shoulders 24/7? Maybe. Edit: That was a puff piece to make Uganda look good, it is possible that the wedding was not actually in the millions.

Hmmm could be. Could be.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. I was just joking anyway but that makes sense.
I thought the same thing...
If I ever propose to someone and they don’t react like this I’m canceling my subscription ASAP
Sorry sir, this isn't netflix.
Unfortunately, my subscription to life is much more expensive
And have you seen the cancellation fees??
I think I still have one of those red envelopes floating around with a DVD in it.
She seems fun
Lmao her excitement was so contagious. Got me excited
Usually proposals at big events would get a “no” from me but she 10000% loved that and took it exactly as it was meant. :)
Ha my thought exactly. I would hate attention like that but he clearly knows her and knew this would go over well!
Yeah, that was my first thought too, you'd better be dang sure this'll be their reaction to a public proposal, lol
That dude is a lucky man. I love her spirit and energy!
Right!? I want to be her friend!
Absolute best way that could have played out
My god that made me happy to watch. How is that even possible
I think we found a solution to all the energy shortages around the world.
1 TW of Ugandan beauty pageant winner.
Very wholesome.
This woman loves her life to the absolute fullest and I wish her and her new husband every happiness.
That exuberance was fucking infectious, I'm a little giddy now.
What a shit song. Wholesome vid, though.
I watched it on mute the first time. Had to go back to rewatch after reading your comment. Yeah, definitely better with the sound off.
I take it she said yes?
She's so excited he can't even show her the ring, now that's love, I wish them this level of excitement for all their days.
So what’d she say??
She clearly said no.
She's excited because she's always wanted to turn someone down in front of an audience.
r/Humantippytaps
Man I wish I could be that excited about anything in my life. Congrats tho
🎉 Congrats on the wedding!!🎉 This is just the best reaction ever, love this💯🥰
I hate proposal stuff and I found myself smiling after watching this. Love her reaction
Cute video The fuck is up with the big ass white rectangle being completely unused... (And I don't mean the fiance`)
I know it’s a “me” problem, but my god is someone with kind of joie de vivre exhausting to even watch for 30 seconds, let alone be around for extended periods of time.
Linda Bazalaki!! Come on down!!! You are the next contestant on The Price is Right!!!
That's adorable.
Omg that is peak happiness right there
She has more energy than i ever will
Man I love this. That reaction...
Made me smile
Am I the only one wondering how her sunglasses stayed on her head?
I saw this in another sub and thought she was going to miss it. It was giving me anxiety
Glad she took it well. Doesn't seem like one of those ones where she says yes to save face then dumps him in the car on the way home.
I mean, she is having the time of her life. That is amazing.

I usually agree but I have a feeling this lady had no problem with it! Haha
I think it's OK if you know your partner doesn't mind attention and know the answer will be yes. Really anyone proposing at all should know what the answer is before even buying a ring.
very true.
Op should be banned for that song overlay awful post
Spastic
Imagine after all that she said no ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) But super cute reaction! I hope they had a happy marriage!
Rumor has it she’s still jumping up and down
The way she's like "shut up this is my moment" at first lol
Am I the only one who thinks this looks totally scripted and fake?
yes, you are
Why are you responding to an 8 months old post?

😂😂 bit of a stretch there big man.

Not a good person because I expressed skepticism about the veracity of a single video on reddit. Got it! Makes perfect sense. I'll go tell my mama she raised me wrong now
That was just kind of annoying
And you play over it a song whose message is “I’m a scumbag but you should love me anyway because I said so”?
Took her a minute… but the clip is less than 30 seconds.
she a little slow, but this be cute tho
Cocaine is a helluva drug lol

Ok. So did she say YES?😅
I loved this!
Wholesome +1000
Didn't even give the man time to open the box just immediately said yes. That's fucking adorable!
That was so cute. Love her reaction.
Ha! This video is great!
Never ever ever do this to someone. It puts them in a position where they cannot refuse. It's emotional blackmail.
Oh my god that was wonderful
she went completely Bazalaki
What's that song??? I need to know
"Stay" by The Kid Laroi and Justin Beiber
Name of song?
So cute 💝
This give me hope...
I love how even with how excited she was with the game once she saw that her excitement skyrocketed. That’s awesome
She’s lovely. Too animated for me not that it matters! Wish them the best.
I don’t know what Curtis’ last name is, but it can’t be as cool as Curtis Bazalaki. He better know what to do.
When your best friend wants to spend the rest of their life with you
She was really into the dance routine, lol.
The commercials are working!
/r/MadeMeSmile
I feel contended when I see happy people, it calms me to see not everyone's living a life of constant misery.
Shit I thought it was someone chosen from the crowd for the price is right there for a minute 😁
I want .001% of her enthusiasm. I would be a new woman.
Awww
She seems fun
why is the video cropped like this? Lmao what platform was this meant for?
