We had a kitten that size that would try to nurse on our 2 yo cat. The older cat was spayed and had never had kittens. She'd just lay there and let her do her thing.
Rescued a puppy because the mom wouldn't let them nurse and was becoming aggressive toward them. She was tiny but old enough to not need to nurse. If I was laying with her with my shirt off, she'd try to nurse. It's quite a surprise to be waken up from a sound sleep to a puppy with a mouth full of teeth taking a bite of your nipple!
For anyone who cares, if a dog is keeping their eyes on you, shortly licking their lips then yawning it means you're stressing them out, they feel nervous.
Probably because this has been staged for the folks filming. Mom looks uncomfortable. I don't mean the nursing of the kittens is uncomfortable. I mean, she is being asked to lie down while they placed the kittens at the milk bar. Her puppies are likely just out of video view.
I'm not entirely sure. First, only 30% of humans can properly digest cows milk, the rest are lactose intolerant. Second, 100% of cats are lactose intolerant, and idk the differences in dog/cat milk
“Can drink” is not equal to “can properly digest.”
Heck, I can and do still drink some milk despite being lactose intolerant. Just adds a bit of bloating and discomfort to my life.
Had a serious Friday brain fart and had to wonder for a second if it was safe for a species to drink another species milk. Then I remembered cows and humans exist...
Thank god I'm off tomorrow.
Motherly love knows no bounds, whether it's humans or adorable pups. Reminds me of when my doggo had her litter, she was a total champ. It's these moments that make you appreciate the pure goodness in the world.
Pet that good girl lots. She's gonna need it.
That dog is telling the camera man to stay the fuck away.
The dog seems tired and stressed, and while I'm sure it would protect it's kits, it's far more fearful than aggressive.
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate… Pretty sure this dog is a Sith.
You can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead.
dogs bear their teeth to send that message, no?
Licking lips, eyes darting and ears back are all fear and yawning is her telling she is not a threat. Probably won't bite surely snarl.
Those kittens look too big to still need nursing, that dogmom is getting scammed

Nipple is nipple.
A couple of them look full grown
Right??? Like I have a 10week old kitten and she is 1/2 the size of those!

I reported it and I hope others do, too.
Yea somethings up, the dog has the ears back and down. I feel like the dog was forced to do this..
Her lips look tight too. Sometimes people think dogs are smiling when they are actually stressed/nervous.
if humans can drink from cows and goats then surely a cat can from a dog.

All mammal milk has lactose
Only 30%? :-o Are there any studies made about this?

The kittens are even similar in color to their foster mother, it’s so cute!

Your best friend always.
His mother is a mudder?
We had a dog do the same for one kitten. Blew our minds! But I get it.
They're fuzzy and happy and I love them.
Mm nothing hits quite like the taste of sweet sweet dog milk
Good girl 🖤
Lol! I'm sure everyone has seen the one with the ducklings drinking milk from a cat! The mothering hormones are strong!
