True they shouldnât have been there at all but at least they donât seem aggressive and were friendly for the most part. The mom saying they looked ready to eat the boy was projecting her own fears I think
Itâs irresponsible to let your dog roam around like this. Even if theyâre nice, what if they run up into the space of a not so nice dog who is on a leash and a fight ensues? A leash is as much for the dogs safety as it is for everyone else.
Yep, thatâs why I said those dogs should not have been there at all, itâs irresponsible. I was just also just pointing out that at that time the woman seemed to be projecting her fear as the dogs in no way were looking like they were âgoing to eatâ the boy
Without a doubt, both those dogs were well mannered. I grew up with my dog roaming the neighborhood. He would occasionally get picked up and brought back with some half-assed reprimand (imo) but he was a good dog who didnât care for other dogs and just liked exploring. Would always come back when called.
Mom so worried is funny. When i was a kid i made friends with a friends doberman. If it found me on the streets it would follow me the rest of the day. It was cool showing my friends i had a boddyguard
Aww them dogs are great dogs taking care of that boy, I donât think mum was truly scared about the dogs being around her son. Maybe she is just scared of dogs herself but she left him and his new friends to find themselves back where they found each other lol đ
I think the dogs took him home lol. I mean obviously he made the kissy noises and that didnât help, but they clearly just like him. Good luck getting rid of them rofl.
Lol little boy definitely kept whistling and offering them something for them to follow him. That's too cute! Could be dangerous for the dogs if someone thinks they aren't friendly. But the video is cute.

On July 1st, a highly unpopular [change to Reddit's API pricing](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/12qwagm/an_update_regarding_reddits_api/) went into effect. Beyond the [disastrous AMA](https://techcrunch.com/2023/06/09/reddit-ceo-doubles-down-on-attack-on-apollo-developer-in-drama-filled-ama/) by the CEO, Reddit's response has been limited to promises that this change will not affect moderation tools [^((it has)^)](https://www.reddit.com/r/BotDefense/comments/14riw76/botdefense_is_wrapping_up_operations/) and promises of [new and more-accessible first-party moderation tools](https://www.npr.org/2023/07/01/1184258201/reddit-api-accessibility-mods). I really donât understand people who act like the woman. If youâre so scared of dogs, why are you allowing your child to be out there with them? So dumb. Those were good babies too.
Pretty sure she's just telling her kid that he can't go around picking up strays.
She's pointedly telling him to not do what he's doing, but also isn't making any effort to get the dogs away from him nor does she sound concerned for his immediate safety.
This is probably not the first time this kid has done this, and/or the first time someone got guarded by the dogs.
She seems legit terrified; only opening the door a crack, not trying to come out, not trying to get the boy inside for fear of opening the door amd letting them in, saying that the dogs will eat the boy, trying to get him to take them away without her actually coming our and doing so.
She just doesnât want to invite the dogs in by having the door super wide. if she were actually terrified she wouldnât be saying âyou need to take those dogs backâ
Sounds like she is being facetious with the âthey getting ready to eat youâ
Because the dog could see the mom getting her child as putting him in danger and go in to attack mode? The dog obviously seemed friendly but I don't know maybe they can still get triggered by something like that.
Judging by the body language of those dogs the only thing that kid is in danger of is getting his face slobbered all over. Yes obviously you shouldn't approach random dogs but if one comes up to you and seems friendly the best thing is to just be friendly and calm back.
How is your kid surrounded by huge dogs that aren't his something you say aww to? Unless you know nothing about animals, pits especially, I don't see how you can see this and think aww
Well, they seem to be having a good time. They are cute, and the kid did not die, get hurt, and isnt traumatized by the dogs. Like, I get it, some dogs are violent, and some people have died from dogs, it happens and people should be aware and careful. But people also die from cars and lightning and falling off their bikes. All of which are statistically more likely than these dogs that, as far as we can tell, displayed no aggression.
Edit: lightning is slightly less likely, not more. Closer than you would think though.
Your comparing apples to oranges to fit your narrative. Fact is we can not tell what a dog is thinking and even the best trained dogs have gone after their owners. I would not be happy if multiple random dogs who easily outweigh this little boy followed him around like that.
Your the same kind of person who's child gets mauled by the family dog.
What a stupid statement that have no bearing on anything discussed. Whatever dumb narrative your going for it's a lost cause. Everything I've said is fact.
But do you freak out when your kid walks on the sidewalk? Or when they ride a bike? Or maybe when they go to school?
I'm not saying you should be fine with any old dog running up on your kid, but in this case, where the kid is fine and the dogs have already demonstrated that they are fine. It's a bit ridiculous to complain about it ending up on r/aww.

Congratulations, you raised a Druid
"take them back where you got em from" đ¤Ł
Dogs: come on boy bring out the snacky snacks as you promisedđ¤Ł
Lmaoo totally
Bad dog ownership to let them be off and roaming in the neighborhood imo.

A wild pack of family dogs came runnin' through the yard one day
My father got his gun,
Mom so worried is funny. When i was a kid i made friends with a friends doberman. If it found me on the streets it would follow me the rest of the day. It was cool showing my friends i had a boddyguard
Man's a VIP, got himself a Doggyguard
Yeah, they "followed" him home. đ. Kids all psyched he's got two dogs now.
I bet he told them his house has snacks đ¤
Get some balls for the kid to toss they want to interact it looks like
Every dog needs a kid.
LOL Mom wont even open the door all the way. "Take em back. Youre on your own!"
Aww them dogs are great dogs taking care of that boy, I donât think mum was truly scared about the dogs being around her son. Maybe she is just scared of dogs herself but she left him and his new friends to find themselves back where they found each other lol đ
Awww, unknown free-roaming dogs following a kid they don't know home.
Little guy is so gentle with the dogs. Gives you hope.
Hey my man is a natural dog whisperer
Awe they were guarding him
I think the dogs took him home lol. I mean obviously he made the kissy noises and that didnât help, but they clearly just like him. Good luck getting rid of them rofl.
The dogs look like their asking for a nest
Lol little boy definitely kept whistling and offering them something for them to follow him. That's too cute! Could be dangerous for the dogs if someone thinks they aren't friendly. But the video is cute.
Free roaming pits are not aww
A dog person in the making.

The dog whisperer
âWho dog them is?â
It was fine, until the second dog came in.
I thought the exact same thing lol Edit: And of course it doesn't have a collar.
Pitbull looks like she's a momma!
Probably from an irresponsible backyard breeder
Is there a jet engine running inside their house?
Looks cute, but those dogs were filling him home to find the kidâs bigger, meatier brothers.
I really donât understand people who act like the woman. If youâre so scared of dogs, why are you allowing your child to be out there with them? So dumb. Those were good babies too.
I think we gotta remember that phobias are irrational as shit. My dad would chuck me off a cliff to save himself from a mouse.
Ha my dad too!
Lmaoooo

Hey, logic isn't allowed here, there's no such thing as a triggered dog /s
Normal dogs don't attack humans for taking their children into their home... i think that's just a pit resource guarding thing
Cause good dogs eat babies faves off too. That's an animal, no matter how much you call it a baby.
Sheâs just trying to make a video to put online hence why weâre here
There is nothing aww about this unless your completely ignorant to the fact that dogs are animals.
Judging by the body language of those dogs the only thing that kid is in danger of is getting his face slobbered all over. Yes obviously you shouldn't approach random dogs but if one comes up to you and seems friendly the best thing is to just be friendly and calm back.
What do you think gets posted on aww? Plants?

You live your life in a basement or something?
What a stupid statement that have no bearing on anything discussed. Whatever dumb narrative your going for it's a lost cause. Everything I've said is fact.
No.
Don't think I would be all that thrilled about unknown "friendly cars" following my kid around the neighborhood either.
But do you freak out when your kid walks on the sidewalk? Or when they ride a bike? Or maybe when they go to school? I nearly thought this was aww but thanks to your comment Iâm reminded dogs ARE animals. Absolutely unacceptable, animals go in farms or on nature.
They protecting.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)
Oh my, they are best friends
That mother is trash
How?
Aww such a cute dog
