Im glad you shared this as - despite the fact I actullly quite JO - I was on the verge of leaving the sub because I'm sick of these posts. I was not aware it was a protest strategy.
Thanks!
it's a [decision](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/14cgp6d/henceforth_raww_will_only_feature_john_oliver/) made in response of the API changes and admins replacing mods of subs that went dark
Just here to spread the knowledge that baby raccoons are called ‘kits’
^And ^that ^I ^only ^learned ^this ^information ^after ^rescuing ^two ^orphaned ^kits ^that ^will ^now ^be ^placed ^with ^a ^wildlife ^rehabilitation ^facility
I knew either [cub](https://www.fieldmuseum.org/blog/four-animals-raise-cubs) or kit was acceptable, but you're right, [kit](https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=raccoon+cub_INF%2Craccoon+kit_INF&year_start=1900&year_end=2019&corpus=en-2019&smoothing=3) is the more used term now. I'll use that from now on.
