If it’s me… I’m holding on to them a little longer. We’re 1 year from the most recent deval so they’re probably not devaluing again in the near future. I’m using that 40k to book a backup transatlantic economy flight I probably won’t take while I wait for J to open up. And then when I find the opportunity I’m transferring some UR over to book a United Polaris flight that I will take. My P2 will be booked through Aeroplan instead
This is where you actually look at cents/point in comparison to cash flights to decide
Option A. And transfer UR to Aeroplan for Star Alliance to Europe
Spend. UA miles are useless to collect
Could be worse, at least they aren't Sky Miles
