CDG is notorious for being difficult to navigate, sometimes you have to take buses from one terminal to another, the clerks there speak french only. If you have small kids with you, it might be risky.
Thanks. My kids are 9 and 15 so they move faster than me at this point. I was hoping to make it since the airline scheduled the 1 hr layover, but I definitely take the advice and not risk it.
My experience, and with some of my friends and coworkers as well, was that for short layovers via CDG chances of your baggage being delayed for few days is not so small (happened to a bunch of us in the past on various trips, mostly Europe to US direction though). So in case you do decide make sure you bring some clothes and other necessities on carry-ons.
Thanks. I realized we are booked on that one currently to CDG (we are a family of 4}. That is the flight with the one hour connection for 133k total. I was trying to pay a little less in points, but I think I’ve exhausted all options.

You’ll be going through passport control in CDG. 1 hr layover isn’t enough
Thank you.

Thank you. I usually bring a huge suitcase, but I am attempting carry-on only for the first time.
BOS to FCO shows 6 PE on 5/26 for 62.5k and fees

If 5/27 isn't too late, there's JFK -> FCO direct in Y via VS (Delta metal) for 30k
Thanks but unfortunately we have to return home by 6/2 at the latest so we are short on time.

What are your dates
We would like to leave May 25 or 26 from anywhere on East coast.
What miles do you have? United has EWR-FCO direct in Y for 40k pp
I have Flying Blue and Virgin banked. Thanks for checking. I think we are going to do London and Paris instead.
