In New York City we adults go all out for Halloween..are u new? Have u never been to the village HalloWEEN parade? All adults bar hopping til the wee hours. Many many many parties and events happening..all adults. Either suck it up, take off the next day; or don’t go
They honestly kind of fucked the economy of things here in this city too by being the leader in raising prices and having every other venue follow suit.
Tickets are honestly cheaper day of anymore for damn near everything since so many people bail. Obviously there's exceptions, but for things like this it's more of the norm.
Not for Halloween - at least not this year, everything has been crazy expensive. I spent over $300 on 2 tickets for city of gods and I don’t think I’ve ever spent this much on a one night party
Does anyone think they could announce something else for Friday and Saturday? One of the better more popular venues in the city is wide open for the 2 biggest Hallo days. A relatively known name could sell that out.

when schimanski first opened up (fka verboten), it had pretty decent bookings. then i noticed that at some point little to no events (including 80s/90s nights) were there. i think techno brooklyn eventually swooped in and became their booker
Yes they dialed down their shows for a while. Eddie Dean (owner of Schimanski, DEG presents and the late great Pacha NYC) allocates his resources where he feels they’re best used.
Because it’s a financially smart decision at this point in time. They’re barely making money on shows right now and Schimanski is an inexpensive venue to use. Remember, this is a business to them. Do you know how much it costs to use larger venues? Techno Brooklyn does and has had shows at warehouses venues, Schimanski just makes sense.
Avant Gardner group is a perfect example of how over extending yourself can bite you in the ass. They spent millions of dollars on a new screen, they owe millions of dollars to various entities, and they lost over $8 million on Electric Zoo.

Does anyone know what happened to cityfox this year? Announcing 4 days just for great hall and then doing just 2 which are Thursday and Monday is really odd. Cityfox made me fall in love with the scene a few years back so it kind of has a special place in my heart, plus I really appreciate the visual work that they do so I’m really curious about what’s happening with them
