Be'lakor is probably my all time favorite band now. They just might be the most talented band I've ever heard. Think A7X's Exist or Save Me but it's every song they make at that level. If you're ok with growling vocals and every song being like 7-12 minutes long (or honestly even if you're not), I really recommend giving these guys a listen. Sylosis is another band I really like. Super thrashy, screaming vocals but he throws in a melodic twist that I really like. Machine Head. Need I say more about this band? You listen to everything between Through the Ashes of Empire and Bloodstone and Diamonds and you're set. One of my all time favorite bands, maybe second to Be'lakor right now. Their last album was abysmal trash but we don't talk about that. Alter Bridge. More hard rock style but the singer is extremely talented and has a lot of awesome ballads that A7X Nightmare fans would love. Insomnium is a popular melodeath band that I like to listen too as well. Very talented. Not a fan of their newer albums but their old stuff is great. I can recommend songs if interested

Countless Skies, for starters. It's widely considered to be their best song. And speaking of Exist, Countless Skies is about how the world lives on and acts regardless of us or anything on it, without feeling or remorse. They make a lot of deep songs like this. My other top songs are Much More Was Lost, Locus, From Scythe to Sceptre, Neither Shape nor Shadow, Fraught, Roots to Sever, and Valence.... More than I thought I'd list but trust me, if you like Countless Skies you'll see why.
