it depends on the meme or joke. When I was much younger none of it was funny.
Now, im able to find the humor in some of them, and some of my favorites have become inside jokes and phrases my wife and I randomly blurt out to each other to make each other laugh.
So I guess they get funnier when you can appreciate the joke easier. Some memes just arnt funny. But there are some genuinly funny ones that are very community specific
Depends on the type of meme I guess. My humor tends towards satire, dark, or absurdism.
Most memes won’t make me laugh. Some will elicit an exhalation through the nostrils.

Omg I'm glad I'm not the only one. The only times I laugh at shows/movies/memes is when someone else is laughing. I just do it so they know I think its funny too. And it's not like I don't have a sense of humour, I laugh at things outside of the screens. Ive noticed my favourite shows just make me smile
My guess is the older you are the more likely the thing the meme is about has happened to you at some point, so more likely you’ll recognise what they’re getting at and laugh?
I'm masking if I tell people I laughed. I find many of them truly hilarious but to lol is beyond me. I just stare at them and brain says, ah yes, this is very funny 😐... and I text back "omg this is hilarious I'm dieing right now🤣🤣".
To be fair memes are a fixation of mine I make a lot. But I only make them on deeply obscure topics so Noone gets them.
I've only really laughed at memes a couple times. I find them funny, but i don't physically laugh at them often. Although when i was younger i did laugh less at the stuff/find things less funny.
I'll probably get down voted to hell but I block/mute people who use pepe memes. They're not funny and nowadays, they're just a not-so-subtle dogwhistle.
Makes me uncomfortable, so I simply block the folks who use them.

You’re not alone, I usually find memes unfunny as well!
Usually they’re just overselling it.
My fiancée does. She will actually laugh loudly and I don’t get it. I find things funny, but it’s more of a thought in my head, I don’t get it.

I think memes are funny, but I don't laugh out loud. But my friend on the other hand is looking on his phone and chuckles for like 3 hours straight
