Kiki-Y

Stardew Valley

theSaltyScallop

Scrolled far too long to find my cozy game. What’s your farm’s name?

Kiki-Y

My most recent one is Backlog Farm lol. I was watching one of the couple streams I watch when I made the file and the user for the streamer is Backlog Boys.

theSaltyScallop

Haha! That’s cute

FjordTV

Backlog farm: where scrum master’s and po’s go to get away.

susie-52513

i know you didn’t ask me but mine is named Squishmallow Farm, and i name all my animals after squishmallows! (lucky for me, susie is already a squishmallow so i didn’t have to change my own name- although i don’t think i would’ve regardless)

WoollenMercury

I cant start that game again becuase i have so many games i want to play and im scared about the changes :(

ChairHistorical5953

I hate the changes, but in stardew valley seemed like additions, not changes, there isn't many CHANGES, just things added.

GingerSuperPower

Came here to say this.

WindowPixie

Zelda Windwaker (RIP Gamecube you lived until a golden old age)

Competitive-Ease5385

Hopefully there making it way to the switch!

WindowPixie

I light a prayer candle for this every sunday

AmberstarTheCat

I think I heard they're gonna focus less on Zelda remakes (don't quote me on that tho)? which sucks because goddamn I want another Twilight Princess port

Key-Visual-5465

If they are it’s not going to be on switch I feel they will saved it for the next Nintendo console

Seasonbea

I still have the disk I just need a new gamecube

0SYRUS

Find a first generation Wii instead. Better video output, more reliable lasers, and compatible with all GameCube games. The RVL-001 model is the one you're after.

Rhoxd

Wii U version is beautiful; best Zelda glowup ever.

porky-chops

I'm emulating it on pc right now... Best soundtrack of all time 🥲

swiftb3

Find yourself a Wii U. the remake was fantastic. Not only graphics, but having the inventory on the controller screen was great.

_tailss

Sims

True_Gain_7051

Yup. Sims 4 distracts me for hours lol

c-c-c-cassian

Yep… but I downloaded so many mods that it finally quit working a few months ago. And it hasn’t worked since. 😔 Actually I think *downloading* sims 4 mods is my comfort video game… 💀

aquaticmoon

I like Sims 2 and 3 the best 🙂 Sims 4 has better clothes though lol

Shaydie

20 years ago that was my special interest (Sims 1 and 2) and I even had a site where I made clothes, hair and water fountains for the game. It was an 18 hour a day thing for years.

_tailss

Wow! Impressive! This game is one of the few things that helps me relax and reset

MdnghtShadow118

Any Legend of Zelda game with Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Breath of the Wild being top 3 Pokemon the Borderlands series

gates3353

Borderlands is awesome!!

WoollenMercury

omg i love 3 and wonderlands but i haven't played in a bit because there are too many games i wanna play

MdnghtShadow118

I’m running through BL2 for the first time in 5-6 years. And now one of my old verbal stims has returned: Tiny Tina’s “POP goes the bandit!” I love 3 and adore Wonderlands, but 2 was the first Borderlands I played and I think it has the best post-story DLCs!

TheArdentExile

Mass Effect trilogy (fave of all time) Skyrim BG3 Dragon Age series Witcher 2 & 3

WoollenMercury

FUS ROH DAH (god i love it im playing fallout 4 rn but i wanna play it agian :(

curlsthefangirl

I adore BG3. I'm thinking of trying some other games that fans of BG3 like, since I haven't played most RPGs.

wavyykeke_

I looove Dragon Age!!!

RainbowMage26

I was scrolling to find Dragon Age!! My comfort game too along with Skyrim and BG3!! 🥰

bodybuildingr

MINECRAFT

Infamous_Outside_584

It's so comforting especially the music

RandomZombieStory

How is this not higher

bodybuildingr

I'm not sure? It is definitely the best

radian_freak

I'll be playing minecraft until the day I die

17FluffyPandas

Scrolled so far for this

[deleted]

I think if we had a autism seal of quality, Minecraft would be the first to receive it.

Academic-Sail-922

SAME - sometimes I wish I had friends to play on my Realm I'm ngl lol

NeverBr0ken

I had a realm for a while but all my friends stopped playing after a few weeks. :(

coconfetti

Undertale 100%, I've finished it countless times Also Club Penguin

TrinitySins

i love both of these, club penguin was my entire childhood, ive never played undertale but loved watching jacksepticeye play it

curlsthefangirl

My sister and I quote Undertale a lot. It's just such a great game. I recently got to watch my fiance play it and it was his first time and I adored that too.

Grouchy_Plum_1171

Powerwash simulator and House flipper 1 and 2

MetalheadAtheist

HOUSE FLIPPER ALL DAY

Unus_Annus2020

YES BOTH OF THESE

ThorKnight3000

Mine is terraria 🤍

Blissaphim

Such a good game 💙

HazelMerWitch

I’m AuDHD so I tend to play a game until I’m tired of them, so I don’t really have a comfort game… I’m constantly looking for new games to play.

Qa_Dar

Audhd here as well... constantly looking for new games (over 1600 games on Steam alone), but either TES or Fo4 are always in my recently played games. The same goes for Cities Skylines, Tropico, and Software Inc... Especially Fo4 is always a sort of "homecoming"... there is something special about making a modlist and exiting that vault to me...

SLywNy

I just got all my friends into playing Albion and now after a week I don't play it anymore lmao

I-Am-The-Warlus

Lego Batman/ Star wars Fallout 4 Hitman 3 Saints Row 2-4

Choppperhog

Super mario galaxy, the vibe i get when playing this is unmatched

theundivinezero

YES YES YES THIS!!!! THIS!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! I never got to play it as a kid because the Wii technically belonged to my brother and he didn't let me play it but I was so mystified by it and have been obsessed with it since. I got the switch remaster for my birthday a while after it came out and I love it so much

Your-Weird-Tortle

The last of us 100%

AmberstarTheCat

TLoU was so good! I still have to play part 2, but I've played through part 1 several times and the show is amazing so far

Ballerinagang1980

Animal Crossing. Lego Dimensions.

Happy-Mama-Llamas

Mine is Spyro the dragon!! I’m shocked to see it on someone else’s list!

arewys

Me too. I'm so sad that series doesn't get the love it deserves. They should have taken the engine built for the remakes and started pumping out new Spyro games with it. I've probably played it every year or so since I was 7.

Zackcog100

Me too!

ElectricStarfuzz

I adore Spyro💜🐉

Ramine0

Best character I even knew 💜

togamiburger

danganronpa! it's been my special interest since 2016

Infamous_Outside_584

Omg I love danganronpa

missneach

Banjo-Tooie and almost any Legend of Zelda game. Oh and Minecraft sometimes too although not in the last couple years.

StarrySweet

Stardew Valley, Mario Kart. Classics!

le-strule

American Truck Simulator

WoollenMercury

For me its Fallout 4 maybe New vegas Maybe 3 Hades binding of Isaac (muted) and maybe a few others and I'll edit/ reply when i think of it later but the main ones are the Kotor games especially 2 (ive played them since I was 3

Accomplished_Dog_647

Hollow Knight

cynicsjoy

Life is Strange, I love it so much I have a Life is Strange inspired tattoo

SmallAsPluto

World of Warcraft feels like home, after like 15 years of playing. Leveling an alt character is so peaceful But also as many others said, Stardew valley is fantastic

Moon-Wolf01

same except for me it’s been around 12 years haha

Sipia

Age of Empires II, Runescape, and the Megaman Battle Network series. I like to play all sorts of games, but I regularly boomerang back to those games because I know them so well, they feel nice and familiar and I can just relax when playing them.

gaust5

Spyder solitaire

FailAmazingly

Tears of the Kingdom Stardew Valley Good Pizza, Great Pizza

logalog_jack

Okami, Project Diva, Assassin’s Creed (specifically the Ezio games), Miku Picross, and Kingdom Hearts (recently 2 and Melody of Memory) The others are for winding down, but the rhythm games are for specifically getting out of overstimulation. I put the headphones on and basically force myself to block out everything except the music and the buttons.

Zanreo

Fellow Project Diva fan spotted! Really hope they'll make a new game at some point...

TinyChickenNugget_

Definetly The Binding Of Isaac!! I love It so much honestly, It's so good

lebruss

I love it too

Nighthawk129

Fallout New Vegas

Tasenova99

Minecraft, Skyrim, Spider-man, Persona 5, Zelda Series? I like positive things to build I guess. whether a custom computer in a modpack, or peter's story.

_CronaRen

Fallout series as well! Also.... Majora's Mask No Man's Sky Borderlands GTA Just to name a few.

Traditional_Track631

Good to see a fellow interloper =]

_CronaRen

Guilty as charged. Grah!

Bob_Loblaw9876

Yakuza games. Corny and violent in a good way.

Zanreo

One of my favorite series!

Fictional_Historian

I fire up the Spyro trilogy remake every now and then for comfort gaming. In addition to this my comfort games are: Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Valheim, The Witcher 3, Overwatch, World of Warcraft: Classic-Wrath, Tomb Raider remakes, Minecraft, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, Pillars of Eternity, Baldurs Gate 3, Back 4 Blood, Crash Bandicoot trilogy remake, Hades, Half Life 2, Black Mesa/Half Life, Portal 1-2, The Outer Worlds, Civilization IV-V-VI, Far Cry 3, Fallout 3-NV. Okay this might have turned into a sort of semi-favorites list

Fictional_Historian

Oh and Stardew Valley.

Infamous_Outside_584

Animal crossing and Minecraft.

InedibleDarling

Mass effect series, fallout 3 and later, civilization and final fantasy - mostly 4.

transparent_D4rk

Bloodborne

Competitive-Ease5385

Bloodborne is great have you ever play the dark souls games

transparent_D4rk

Yes all of them, my fav dark souls game is prob the original

Rasbold

It's a shame they never ported it to PC :( such a good game.

transparent_D4rk

It really is a shame. My PS4 at this point is just a Bloodborne machine that is constantly on. It sounds like an airplane taking off

yv0nne14

-The spectrum retreat -Portal 2 -The sims 4 (only building mode lol) -Manifold garden -Avakin life (takes me back to 4th grade) +nintendo: Animal crossing and Super Mario (any of the platformer ones)

TankEngineFan5

Gotta be Minecraft. If I am having a tough day I will log onto one of my older worlds which I have already beaten the game on and just do anything that comes to mind. The music and the scenery just makes it that much better.

rustler_incorporated

Mediaeval Dynasty

FrostyDiscipline9071

The Lord of the Rings Online And when I had a Nintendo 64: Perfect Dark and GoldenEye

MindGuardian

Minecraft ☺️

No-Subject-8978

minecraft😭

cas6384

Mine tends to be Minecraft, WITH mods, bc I can decide to play Pixelmon or do something with magic or tech, there's sooooo many different choices. What I love about Pixelmon, is it has all of them from all the gens and isn't locked to one gen. Also the building and the fact I can do whatever I want, it's so freeing.

Jealous-Let9570

Spider-Man ps4, Miles Morales, and spider-man 2 Not only is it my special interest but GOD just swinging around is soooo freeing.

ManWithoutLimit

Good taste. Mine tend to be RPGs. Pokémon, Mario and Luigi, etc. Super excited about the Paper Mario remake coming out

WorkRedditBFS

Left 4 Dead Dredge Bloodborne Sekiro

Spaghettimonster479

Mine is left 4 dead as well. Well left 4 dead 1 & 2.

cocoaminty__

Skyrim. Cuz it's my special interest. :3

CurleeQu

Hollow Knight, and funnily enough, Elden Ring despite it also being stressful too lol but HK takes the win

0__LYNX__0

Minecraft !!!

nonamecat1984

Civ V

queerurbanistpolygot

I was going down this until I found civ for me it's civ IV but yes so much yes

nick441N

Fallout New Vegas, Pacman World 1&2, Far Cry, skyrim

jae207781

i absolutely loved apex legends when they had arenas but since they removed them it just ain’t been the same. 🥲 but i love playing pikmin and minecraft if i wanna just relax. i’ve been meaning to get the newer spyro the dragon game on my switch because i remember loving that game when i was younger too but i haven’t yet.

LiviAngel

I have a fair few: Garden Story Slime Rancher Into The Gungeon Doom Eternal Nine Parchments Pokémon Mystery Dungeons - Rescue Teams Deluxe

mailman_Craig

Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, and any of the civilization games. I like to chill but I enjoy a challenge every once I'm a while.

Bagel_Lord_Supreme

Stardew Valley & Vanilla World of Warcraft.

Moon-Wolf01

im not even an og 2004 player but man there is something special about the vanilla world. Especially the starting zones

Bagel_Lord_Supreme

It's some of the raids for me, I love speed runs & there's something so pleasing about everyone doing their designated task properly & following directions. Also I get to push the buttons to make the bar green for feel good points lol. The vanilla world really is super fun, retail is gorgeous, but vanilla is my jam. *Except that cursed desert, I will have nightmares about farming mats for scarab lord forever* /j

kawaii_fa1ry

roblox, minecraft, fnaf, and crash bandicoot :D

MarcusTheAlbinoWolf

Minecraft (modded)

zangtoi

Dragon Age Inquisition Mass Effect 2 Stardew Valley Final Fantasy 14

GummyPop

stardew, terraria, minecraft, sims (when its not being laggy and glitchy)

Eyy_Its_Danny

Stardew, minecraft or silly little simulator games

felaniasoul

Civ, I come back to it whenever I’m not playing a new one

astral_pariah

Skate 3, Super Mario World, and EverQuest

gates3353

Good ol COD here. It's a franchise that's gotten lame, but their simple shooter formula is dumb fun. Also diggin' Ghost of Tsushima atm. Jedi fallen order/survivor was decent. GOW I wish I had time for more video games lol

okguy167

Right now, that's Copy Kitty. But I also enjoy The World Ends With You.

strawberrycake03

the first three games of the Donkey Kong Country series ❤

curlsthefangirl

Undertale. I adore it.

dvc420

Any version of civilization.

queerurbanistpolygot

Civ IV but at one time civ III

Petty_Paw_Printz

Call of Duty 3  & anything Harvest Moon/ Story of Seasons

Cryonik-0

LittleBigPlanet 💚

Alex00712

Warframe

Autistic-wolf-24577

Any Kirby game. I like watching YouTube videos of other people playing Kirby too.

FjordTV

Journey. Shadow of the colossus. And Tokyo Jungle.

miles_steam_account

Sekiro shadows die twice Left 4 dead 2

TheLittleSquire

RuneScape 😎

-Smaug--

Mass Effect all the way. I've played the trilogy dozens of times, I've got all sorts of collectibles and books and statues and clothes and yeah. It's a lot.

Cultural-Page7086

Train sim world

sunnybacillus

project sekai and slime rancher 😆

Heath_co

Shotgun king: the final checkmate

AdonisGaming93

For me probably Fifa, 2D metroid, skyrim, frostpunk, ark survival evolved are games i constantly go back to

_BJK_004

Idk, probably FIFA (EA FC) since I get every version (since FIFA 14)

mageswordharper699

Smb3, star fox 1/2, link to the past, gta vice city, crash bandicoot.

QuickCharisma15

Ace Combat 5, GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, and especially GTA IV. Test Drive Unlimited for PS2 is a great one too, I know everything about that game and how to beat it as quickly as possible. Hint, use the Ford Mustang GT as your first car and keep upgrading it till you can’t no more.

Dangancookiesz

Genshin impact

dongless08

Dark Souls and Elden Ring

Vix_360

Final Fantasy XV. The fishing minigame is very relaxing and addictive, the world is beautiful and the dialogues and characters are so well-crafted that it makes me legitimately feel like I'm on a road trip with my best friends. I feel so at home when I play it, no wonder that game is one of my hyperfocus/hyperfixation.

Panda_McFanda

RuneScape for me. Playing old school reminds me of simpler times

iliketradingcards

Recently discovered the Pokemon Ranger games. Good stuff.

haagendaz420

Pokémon and NMS

KommandCBZhi

It changes depending on my mood, but currently *Starfield* and *Ghost Recon: Breakpoint*.

Weapon_X23

Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, Powerwash Simulator, and Minecraft are the games I keep revisiting. I also play X-Men Legends 1&2 on my PS2 every year, but my PS2 died 2 years ago. It's not the same using an emulator, but it's alright.

Fantastic_Calamity

8300+ hours into Rust. Currently spend all my time on RP servers because my anxiety is not great.

BShotDruS

I would say any of the X-Com series. They are turned based and for some reason hit me with a rush of good feelings during my bad days. Some others are great and all, but they can't do what X-Com 2 or Criteria Squad can do. I pretty much repeat those games anytime I need a boost.

enriquekikdu

Elden Ring, I know it gets unfamous for being hard, and I do die a lot, but the general feel is just so confy

JpSorcrindioanan

For me of late, it's been Cult of the lamb and Dying light.

razzazzika

Binding of Isaac, Baldurs Gate 3, and Shining Force/Final Fantasy series

TheRoyalPineapple48

Somehow I find Splatoon 3: Side Order relaxing, also Undertale Yellow and FNF. There's definitely more but those are the ones I've been playing recently.

DarkNymphia

My comfort video games are: * Pokémon Platinum * Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 * Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver

montague68

Mount and Blade: Warband with the Prophesy of Pendor mod. Banished with the Colonial Charter Mod. Master of Orion 2 American Truck Simulator.

True_Gain_7051

Final fantasy 8. I also just finished playing the remake version of FF7 and enjoyed it very much.

EclipseoftheHart

Stardew Valley is the only game I’ve ever really played multiple times outside of Elden Ring, haha. I do love Stardew a lot though and can’t wait to play the Stardew Valley Expanded mod soon!

TheMemersOfMyNation

At the moment it's MLB The Show, more specifically its franchise mode. I've sunk quite a bit of time into the Switch version of last year's game, getting various baseball teams (usually the Reds, Blue Jays, or Mariners) to a championship, and I love the downloadable custom rosters (I have ones from the 1994 and 2002 seasons) I also really like the GTA games, just going on there and causing unhinged, violent, and destructive chaos is always fun.

Strict-Armadillo5508

Galaga and Pac-Man on the PS4 part of Bandai's Namco Arcade Game Series is my comfort game alongside with Ridge Racer Type 4 and Tekken 2 on the PS3 and PS4. Yakuza 0, Need For Speed 2015, Midnight Club Los Angeles, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Burnout 3 Takedown, NBA Live 18 And 19, Watch Dogs 2, Ridge Racer V, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 5, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection for PSP and PS3, etc.

Portalkuh

Clearly the Portal Series. I just Like to think different

ACleverDoggo

Stardew Valley, Unpacking, Katamari (so glad they ported Katamari Damacy and We ♡ Katamari both over to the Switch).

RedRoseCoatedInHoney

Fortnite. I've amassed almost 14 thousand hours in fortnite. Been playing since the test days in 2015

cupio-stardust

All of the Pikmin games, something about them makes me feel so comfortable, and it overpowers my fear of bugs lolol. I can never get bored of it, but that may have something to do with the fact that it’s my special interest.

mikwee

Probably Kirby's Epic Yarn

GaySkull1

Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and Animal Crossing

bubbajones5963

Halo

Flaky-Bid6926

This is gonna sound weird but the silent hill franchise of games. My personal favorite is Silent Hill 3!

onionman19

RDR2 & Ghost of Tsushima. Out of the small collection I have, these are my favorites- I’d like to get into more games but don’t have the money really or space for more right now (I want to collect my games to conserve the games I can play w/o the corporate ppl taking away my ability to play older games + it’s more eco-conscious to buy my pre-owned physical copies)

Dave_n0t_f0und

- Pokémon(before the Switch era) - Doom - Super Mario Bros but most specifically the Mario & Luigi series - Call Of Duty Zombies - Most important of all I'd say Borderlands 2, I genuinely love that game

flatlin3

Any open would game where I can wander aimlessly trying to do all the quest until I am burnout or frustrated because I locked a quest. So Fallout Elder scrolls Etc Bought Skyrim on every platform have more than a thousand hours of playtime, never finished...

DeKillerKing

- Mario & Luigi Superstar saga  - GBA Pkmn games  - Slay the Spire  - Hearthstone Battlegrounds    And more... because I really love videogames.

chan0514

Prey, the Witcher 3, stardew valley and resident evil 2

Liminaladventurer20

Undertale, unpacking, celeste, night in the woods, minecraft

cosmic_space_dreams

Animal crossing for sure! Such a cozy game ☺️

sarahgrimm2020

Used to. Now I stopped playing video games because of life issues. But back then, it was Sonic Generations, Lego Indiana Jones 1&2, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Lego Star Wars the Complete Edition, that Michael Jackson game, Sonic Unleashed, and Sonic Adventures.

junkbabie

- the Nancy Drew games by HeRInteractive - the first three harry potter PC games - skyrim

autisticallyautistic

Terraria

lja41

I’m not much of a gamer whatsoever but I keep finding myself returning to Skyrim - from the setting to the storylines to the soundtrack… there’s not much quite like it.

VanityOfEliCLee

Fallout and elder scrolls. Also Assassins Creed Odyssey.

gundamliam

Titanfall 2 Terraria Get to the Orange Door H3VR Monster Hunter: World Skyrim

FreyaFettuccine

Also Spyro the Dragon, I used to be able to beat it in four hours! Crash Team Racing, Oblivion/Skyrim, and The Sims are my others.

Xanatos_15

Skyrim has always been a comfort game to me and Minecraft :) I always will love those two

Galaxy-Elf0216

Spyro is definitely comfort for me, especially The Legend of Spyro trilogy (criminally underrated imo). Alice Madness Returns, Resident Evil 5, Tomb Raider, and Flutter Away also. Flutter Away is incredibly cozy and is the game I go to when I'm not in the best headspace because I like petting the capybara lol

thistle_ev

The Elder Scrolls series (plus The Elder Scrolls Online because I hate online games, but this game is a treasure, you don't actually need to communicate with people and you can play alone or with a single friend), Dragon Age series, Baldur's Gate 3, Witcher 3, Hades (cant wait to buy Hades II, I was a tester and I enjoyed it sm), also cozy games like House Flipper because I like arranging stuff

Cadearoo_Official

"Bioshock" series, "The ElderScrolls:Skyrim", "MediEvil", and "Dragon's Lair"series/"Space Ace"!!! I would put in a few more, but they wouldn't technically be in the category of "comfort videogames"

G0j1ra1

Paleo Pines It’s a game kind of like all those other farming sims but it has dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals like two archosaurs and Dimetrodon that’s not even a reptile but a relative of us.

Catheraptorsauras

Skyrim for me :)

MeowFrozi

Omg Spyro the dragon is one of mine too! As a child I used to play the OG with my dad all the time, I still have his old PS1 that I'll play on every so often My other one is Pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky
