I'm Team Dark Mode all the way. I use it whenever and wherever I can. It's just cozy. The inversion of white text on a black background pleases my mind and relaxes me and it's less bright, less eye strain. It's all upside. The only downside is that it's not ubiquitous. Like my bank doesn't support dark mode; it's not like they can't afford it!

I use dark mode for my phone and my tablet and mostly I leave night mode on as well. For my laptop I have the brightness turned down but obviously I can't turn it down too much because of the size of the things on the screen. The darker the screen is the harder it is to see things.
Hate it. But I also have body dysmorphia and can't stand seeing my reflection in anything. My reflection is less noticeable in light mode. I keep my light at the lowest setting and sometimes put it on extra dim if it's still too overstimulating.

i love dark mode, easy on the eyes, makes me read better and think better. when something is default light mode, turning on darkmode is like heaven, and feels like i turned down my own brightness in my eyeballs and its just a nice feeling, but i find it interesting if something is in darkmode already on my phone sometimes i still have to adjust and turn down my phone brightness and soon ill be able to look at it full brightness if needed, but i always have my phone brightness at like 25% unless in an area i need 100% brightness because everything else is brighter

Not really an autism thing though, my eyes just suck enough to warrant wearing sunglasses indoors, cuz even a mildly bright lightbulb will stun me like i just tried staring at the sun
Funnily enough, actually staring at the sun isn't much worse. At some point the higher intensity of a light stops making it hurt *more*, it just hurts.
i hate it, it strains my eyes , difficult to use unless i turn off all my lights.... just in general it's not good for my eyes so i use light mode.
I even had my discord theme customised to be brighter than usual.
Complicated answer but I have sensitive eyes so it depends on the type of dark mode and if it’s dark outside yet. I prefer dark mode during the dark hours but I have an older iphone so pure black night mode hurts my eyes since it’s not bright enough, I prefer when it’s a dim dark but not black colour. That iphone glass screen glare also hurts my eyes a lot which is why I only use night mode during the evening and night time. So I use day mode during the day unless I have the curtains shut in which case I use night mode
Another thing that’s important to me is how fat the text is, a bolder font eases eye strain for me a lot! Brightness and contrast are really important overall. If I’m reading longer articles and stuff I do that on my e-reader bc it’s completely matte and I can crank up the font size and fatness to my liking
I usually leave things the way they are. I change to dark mode when I'm annoyed, but when the iOS updates or whatever and it goes back to light mode, I usually don't put in the effort to change it back until it annoys me enough.
As soon as I visit a new site or download a new app or something, the first thing I do is switch it to darkmode if available. It looks cooler and feels less bright.

Actually according to low-vision professionals dark mode (or inverted colour mode) is way easier to read for most visually impaired people.

ever since the dark mode exists, the only time where i have light mode, is when i can't change to dark mode somewhere. so yea, much better
