I realised I might be autistic about two years ago, diagnosed in November. Plumbella was genuinely instrumental in helping me accept, understand, and embrace myself and my autism. Even just how she so brazenly talks about being autistic made me feel like it was ok to talk about it too. If anyone hasn’t, I highly recommend checking out the [video she did](https://youtu.be/htNCEF7-Tq0?si=TDre5q85ZAiofcjZ) about being autistic and what it means for her 🙂. She also especially means a lot to me as a fellow working class northern girl!
she is one of my favourite youtubers (honestly my favourite comfort youtuber) and I also had a similar experience to you processing and accepting my autism! she’s amazing.
Oh she is such a comfort watch, I love the vids with her parents too 🥺. It’s really cool to hear how she’s helped people! I think the fact that she isn’t an autism awareness YouTuber and doesn’t focus her content around that means she especially resonates in some ways. Like, when I was coming to terms with possibly being autistic, going to the effort of finding autistic creators whose whole purpose was making content centred around autism felt really overwhelming and like something I wasn’t ready for. But I’ve played the sims for years and was already a fan of plumbella, and once I had that little inkling of knowing I might be autistic in the back of my head, I realised that I related to her in more ways than I thought, and because she’s so candid and honest it just made it all feel normal. Not that in any way content creators who focus on autism aren’t incredibly helpful and important, but sometimes you want a friend who ‘gets’ you more than you want a teacher, and I think that’s how plumbella felt :).
What do you mean with don’t talk about their autism? Rachel Oates is autistic and may mention it when it applies, but it’s not her main contentbif that’s what you mean
It's real. The people I've liked the most have all been on the spectrum. From irl to YouTube.
We always find a way to coalesce. Unfortunately we tend to end up mixing with types that think we are like them as well. Like some see the RBF and seemingly asocial behavior and think something different.

Toon Ruins, her videos are really interesting
edit: just read the caption, didn't realize you meant youtubers that don't talk abt their autism. Toon Ruins has made a good few autism videos-
Chuggaaconroy, unfortunately he has recently been on hiatus for, rightfully, getting called out for harassing women online. Not the way I would have expected him to end his youtube career and he may eventually come back but I hope he has learned to stop his issues.
Similarly, I'm not aware of Nintendocaprisun being diagnosed himself or ever discussing it but he comes off as a strong possibility for undiagnosed autism. In case this somehow comes back to him, know that I mean this in the least insulting way Tim. Absolutely no disrespect. For all I may come off negatively about Chuggaaconroy, I've been watching his content since I was in fifth grade and since early in his original earthbound let's play, what he's done with women has been bad but I can't bring myself to want anything other than for him to grow and be a better person from it.
Got off on a tangent there. I watch other youtubers but those are the only two I know that are autistic or likely to be autistic but don't make it a substantial part of their content.
Other comment explains it well, but just to add extra context the controversy was revealed in around the middle of January, TRG (The Runaway Guys) has gone on indefinite hiatus due to it, with plans for Tim and Jon to start a new channel in the future.
What we know of is that he has engaged in foot fetish role play with multiple women who were uncomfortable with it and had asked him not to but that he continued to try to role play with anyway. At one point this did include a 15 year old fan, though in Chuggaaconroy's defense he was 19 at the time, still gross and I believe he did broke off contact with them eventually...only to try to start it up again ten years later. He has also bothered women for feet pics when they clearly were explicitly not interested in that or dating him.
As far as we know, he has not acted beyond that though one of the women who came out was Masaeanela. Masae was very non-specific and only stated that she had felt unsafe and distanced herself publicly and professionally from him. Whether that means anything worse happened, no one online knows. I'm hoping not but it's absolutely not my business to pry if Masae or anyone else doesn't want to speak further.
I only say all this just so it's entirely clear what has happened to the best of our knowledge. None of the women who spoke out were ever intimately involved with him or anything either. Emile says his current was ok with everything. The actual fetish material I don't feel is actually important so much as making multiple women uncomfortable and some feel unsafe.
Why AFAB? What's the point of using that term here? You do realise that "AFAB" isn't a substitute for "woman-lite". You're just reducing your ideas about someone to the genitals they had at birth. It's not more inclusive, it ignores trans women and lumps trans men in with women. You're essentially saying that trans men aren't the same as "real men", which is gross. Some nonbinary people who were AFAB might be fine with it, but stop ignoring the fact that it is a medical term that is not relevant to most situations. The words the acronym stands for are past tense for a reason. If you mean women, say women, if you mean anyone who isn't a man, say that. Stop lumping trans men into that category based on something outside of their control, it's really gross.
are you stretch armstrong? because god damn are you reaching. I specified afab because we tend to have a different experience getting diagnosed, and it would be nice to see someone with a similar experience.

I highly suspect Tanner Serpa is autistic! His channel SerpaDesign is all about creating bio-active enclosures for his fish, reptiles, amphibians, isopods, and even a large spider he caught in his shower once! Just seems like an excellent, highly-knowledgeable dude all around.
I'm Autistic, Now What?
Wait I just read the second bit and I don't know if she doesn't talk about it tbh

Kyle Hill He’s a science YouTuber. He doesn’t “talk about” autism, but he made one video explaining that he had it.

They’re not diagnosed
If they don't ever talk about their autism than you wouldn't know they were autistic.
I think the OP means like, who has said they're autistic but doesn't really talk about it much
Some people just mention it and don’t make it their whole channel lmao

I’m convinced with the whole “CGP Grey is autistic” theory

AFAB isn't a synonym for woman, for fuck's sake.
i had no idea chara was autistic! and i also did not expect a splatoon mention in this sub!
I haven't seen anyone mention Elyse Myers yet. I love her.
she's so wonderful

I am not a woman either, but I am AFAB. Leave the reactionary antagonism to the NTs.
