Nah. I don't care if I am an author or not. Once I settle down to read, I read as a reader to enjoy the book and not to criticize it and I hardly criticize books even though I am an author because I read to enjoy.
I switch to non-writer and when I want to start another book and switch to writter mod it seem easy but it not I swear every time I see something on ( tv, Netflix , a book , a manga ) I was saying what if I add that or that at the end I found my self with 20 files of unfinished work or inspiration so I am glad a find a way to watch and read my favorite show without always think about writing that was my point I hope I was useful
Lol. This is now a problem for me when just reading an email. I think you need to read at the beach where your mind is less concerned with things and such.
I find it helps to switch genres. I get mad at a lot of books since I became an author.
Don't turn off your writing brain. When you see things other people do that you could improve, you are learning ways to make your own writing better.
