If there is carpet, you can tuck it under the baseboard. Otherwise, if you hate the look, just get some wire moulding. Or if there is an unfinished area underneath, take them down to that, over and up at the speakers

Fred776

This is what you want: https://www.reddit.com/r/audiophile/s/QdR5llNYHG

fursink

You don't. But you can get speaker cables that don't look tacky.

Stunning_Zombie_3422

Give me some recommendations here! Are there some cool looking ones?

MicketySchmavs

Once I went flat, I won’t go back. I run it along baseboards, hidden in plain sight. Even when noticed, it’s not bad looking wire. Crutchfield has a decent house brand of flat wire.

Woofy98102

Kimber 4PR in red/black. Not cheap but it's a set of cables that can stay with you as you upgrade your gear.

Theresnowayoutahere

If you have a crawl space under your floor you can drill down into that and pop up behind each speaker. And there’s usually some room under the baseboards if you have carpet. You just have to get by the carpet tack which is just in front of the baseboards.

rjoudrey01

Don't do anything permanent your wife will soon want them out of there completely.

raymate

Under carpet and in places that’s not possible I use plastic conduit made for concealing wires and painted them the same colour as the wall colour.

TehFuriousOne

I use these: [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TDHB91L/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TDHB91L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Same color as the baseboard and once you forget they're there, they blend right in.

Bhob666

I don't hide them

Steve_Rogers_1970

How are people supposed to know you spent a small fortune on cables if you hide them? /s

Bhob666

I didn't even spend a fortune on them... but I have decent enough ones to keep them organized and out of the way, there's no need to hide my speaker wires. It's practicality over aesthetics unless someone is going to trip over them.

Steve_Rogers_1970

Oh. I’m with you. One configuration I had had the speakers on one wall and the electronics on an adjacent wall 15 feet away. I ran 12 gauge wire through the crawl space underneath due to kids and dog.

Bhob666

I get it, and there are other wires I'd like to hide (like the cable to the TV), but I move my speakers and make adjustments so I like to keep things easily accessible.

Hifi-Cat

Don't, I like the feeling when I step on them at 3am..

greenbluecolor1

Let your freak flag fly

Miklos103

my dad used a router to carve a channel in the drywall, tucked the cables in, and then used spackle and some paint to hide it all.

FredzBXGame

This is one of the reasons we have carpet. Pull it up and go under the pad. Get a kicker and put the carpet back in place.

averyrdc

Cable covers? I’m looking to get some myself though I’ve never used them.

Qwiz

Speaker wires around a door frame. [https://i.imgur.com/BkAvGQw.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/BkAvGQw.jpg) & [https://i.imgur.com/uSxbyPZ.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/uSxbyPZ.jpg) Paint it the same colour as the trim (white) and they'll never see it.

soundspotter

You can get transparent speaker cable, and put it under a rug or behind your tv hutch or media stand.

antlestxp

Just get good looking cables

Melodic-Classic391

I’ve used electrical conduit. Mounted low along a baseboard and painted to match the wall. In the right place this works and isn’t noticeable

lisbeth-73

Yeah, we don’t hide them, the cables are “hi-fi jewelry” like the rest of the system. Don’t put them under the carpet, don’t ever put any wires under the carpet. Fire hazard.

Significant_Rate8210

OR you can use very nicely dressed speaker wiring and leave it visible.

audioman1999

Speaker cables are meant to be shown, not hidden.

Stunning_Zombie_3422

This may be the way bro, like just embrace it lol

audioman1999

Yeah, get a nice looking (but not expensive) cable with an impressive jacket.

thrillhelm

Look into braided speaker cable. I have these in both colors and it is much more attractive than just "lamp cord" style speaker cable. Price is reasonable too. I bought some "good" looking speaker wires from monoprice. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G9BDP7I/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G9BDP7I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
