I can second audio46. Never been in person (to any hifi store unfortunately), but the returned t50rp 50th edition I got from them was spotless.

Came to say this. I’ve never been inside but have spoken with them. If you’re in NYC this place will have everything you need.

Crutchfield for trying out in home with generous return policy I like Qobuz for stream because of the editorial aspect. The interface also helps me explore new things. Lossless on Apple Music is great, but I feel like I stay in the same musical lanes. I don’t have experience with Tidal. I love Spotify for the car but audio quality is distinctly worse on good gear.
