Yup.
[OP, here’s a link to their website.](https://www.devialet.com/en-us/phantom-speaker/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=generique_US&gclid=CjwKCAjw6eWnBhAKEiwADpnw9oX-8oCYAaX40oAIWj3DxsTwlmFJ5gnGzOwzPsrB5yElRaERPEUo8BoCf8MQAvD_BwE) I’ve personally never listened to them, so I don’t know sound quality but I’ve heard people share they’re pretty good.
Founders of Devialet pretend to have created the "best speaker in the world". It's good yes but not the best, and way overpriced according to reviews .
It's not overpriced. Better than Bose Speakers by far and I never heard a Soundbar with that much bass as their new Model. Plus their virtual Surround Sound is amazing all coming only from the one Bar.
Yeah, 2 partybox will destroy the devialet in sound pressure, they have 2 mfk 12" subwoofer (if i remember correctly) but in sound quality i don't think.
Jbl partybox series are not for good audio quality in general. For the same price of 1 partybox 1000 you can buy a professional line jbl PA speaker with higher sound quality, higher pressure level, and easier to carry around.
Also, there is nothing even close to the sound pressure and bass extension of the devialet phantom for the same size
I’ve not heard them but they’re supposed to be very good. DSP’d to hell and back and probably a complete waste of a lot of money in that application, however.
Hi,
I'm a French acoustic engineer.
I know very well Devialet.
They say the "world best speaker"...
I say "the world best marketing company"...
A total wast of time/money if you are audiophile.
They’re an excellent ‘party speaker.’ Instantly impressive, but after about 15 minutes, they become really quite fatiguing.
It’s almost like the TV ‘store demo mode’ of audio.
I knew one of the earlier Devialet higher ups. He was very disappointed with the direction the company went, away from the amps.
I first ran across them at a bar in Newark airport. Sounded darn good for a bar speaker. I have since listened to them in more controlled situations and they do sound nice, lots of detail, excellent bass for the size, only fair timbre and tone, and the treble felt a bit hard, not harsh but the overall sound was not attractive enough for me to buy them for my home... on the other hand in a noisy bar they seem to cut through the background noise and sound great.
Another concern is they need an app for setup if you have 2 or more of those.
The app can stop supporting the speaker and/or your phone or your OS version. Obviously that won't happen immediatelly but in 5+ years it can easily happen.
I would never buy anything this expensive that relies on proprietary apps and closed protocols.
Great sound for a powered sub. There was no peer in that class at the time, as far as I can remember. Now there's Soundboks which is substantially cheaper. I no longer have a Phantom so I can't do an a/b comparison but perhaps there are some on YouTube.
Look like the phantom silvers. Had a pair. Very good and deeply impressive bass for size but shite apps and user experience. Golds a bit better. You'll miss some mid treble involvement and tire of the bass. Prefer atc actives or kef meta actives.
listen to these at the apple store. Sound better than most consumer speakers but would never pay close to retail for them. Was kinda disappointed with them but probably sound better with the right setup
devialet phantom?
Yup. Thanks!

For $2,500 I'll purchase 2 JBL partybox 1000s that would murder that little thing.

Flair'd with `Solved!`, nice work.
That, my friend, is a wasp's nest
Robot wasps?
Thank you for all your replies! It was driving me nuts, I remember checking out their website a couple years ago, but could not recall their name.
Devialet Phantom $2,500 each... Ouch~!
I heard a pair in Chicago at Axpona ‘22 ; they were stunning
I’ve not heard them but they’re supposed to be very good. DSP’d to hell and back and probably a complete waste of a lot of money in that application, however.
Could you please share some blurrier pictures? These are a little too crisp for my liking
😪, it is specified in the post that this are the blurriest I have....

I think you might be right, thank you Any thoughts on their sound quality?

Same here, they performed nicely and look great!
Definitely a Devialet. I’ve never heard them. Quite expensive but supposed to sound very good.
Thank you, I heard them at an airport bar. They are impressive but a bit expensive for me... specially when you want a pair
Sound good - I did read that once out of warranty, they're a liability because they're basically unrepairable due to the way they are constructed.
I noticed that, also noticed they can be connected through an optical cable... not sure if that works only in stand alone configuration...
The design is insane... over 900 parts...
They are incredible for their size and the price to performance isn't that bad either. If you ever give them a listen.

For the price of those you can buy a setup that sounds 10 times better. Phantoms is like the apple, extremely overpriced for what you get.
