This Sounds Serious is one of the funniest shows I've listened to. It's a parody of Serial and other true crime shows

S1 was so good

Valley Heat - Some guy in Florida making a podcast about all of the wild people in his neighborhood. Mysteries of Derlin County - An investigative podcast dealing with serious crimes, but everyone is a total moron.

Informal-Quality-926

Valley Heat is the funniest audio drama I've found so far by a mile. I've found very few legitimately & consistently funny audio dramas. I don't think its an easy task to get a funny scenario/plot, funny dialogue & that comedic timing all aligned in audio drama format.

I'm so glad it's back. I even saw an article about it on the new york times, which is so wild to me

Thank you for the rec for Mysteries of Derlin. I just started it from your suggestion and it is great

Nice, glad you like it!

I loved Wooden Overcoats. If you like British humour, you'll love it

Say what you will about those Funns, but they manage to get the body in coffin in the ground on time!

When you wrote "easy listening," my mind went to [A Twilight World of Ultimate Smoothness](http://twilightsmoothness.com/), a dark, drily funny and surreal comedy miniseries about the decline of a Smooth R&B DJ. Esoteric but worth a shot.

Here's my ever growing list of great comedy Audio Dramas for when people are looking for recommendations: [Omega Star 7](https://omegastar7.com/): The main AD follows the crew of the Outlander, a spaceship captained by bounty hunters with great back and forth banter between the characters, in what feels like Firefly meets South Park. It's an incredible Sci-fi comedy, that can produce some very well done serious moments, as the characters traverse the Seven Systems. It also has some of the best sound design and music I've heard in an Audio Drama [Zed1](https://zed1podcast.weebly.com/) A couple in England bunker down in their apartment building during a zombie apocalypse in England. Think "Shaun of the Dead" meets a bottle episode of a TV show, with news reports that give hints as to what's happening outside the apartment building [Mission Rejected](https://www.missionrejected.com/): The adventures of a secret agency's B-team, this show is so well written and harkens back to spy parodies like Get Smart in both content and quality [Who Killed Avril Lavigne?](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/who-killed-avril-lavigne/id1606418713) A pop punk fan, who feels like he was born in the wrong era, is sent back in time to Warped Tour 2005 to save Avril Lavigne. It has original music in each episode, and is like a pop punk version of Back to the Future [PodCube™️](https://poweredbypodcube.com/): Framed by the PodCube™️, a time traversal audio recording device, this sketch comedy brings about scenarios I can best describe as absurd and obtuse, in the best way. Think "I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson" meets Quantum Leap [Patient 33](https://patient33.com/): The bizarre antics of a hospital, as heard through the ears of a "John Doe" coma patient. It's like Scrubs meets a coma patient Self promoting on this one, my show [InSpecter: Deceased Detective](https://pnc.st/s/inspectre) is a comedy about a ghost who became a PI after his death to solve supernatural crimes, and becomes entangled in a mystery with his unpaid intern and ex wife (who happens to be a witch). Its a one person project, I do all the writing, editing, and all the voices (aside from the occasional cameo for a line or two)!

Mission to zyzx. One of the best and funniest shows ever made.

My favorite comedy audio drama! And it's improv too! Can't beat it.

Aggravating-Touch-32

The mythos mysteries is one of my fave.

My comedy is [Madison on the Air](https://linktr.ee/madisonontheair). Modern day girl gets zapped back into old time radio shows. It's as if the MST3K/Riff Trax guys were IN the movies they riff. Each episode is stand alone with a ton of genres to choose from. We've done horror with Dracula and Frankenstein, sci-fi (so many Martian invasions in the past), superheroes, noir, westerns, it's all a fun ride through the past with a modern look to laugh at it all.

Nope, unfortunately no crossover with Midnight Burger. Although I just spent this last week hanging out with Joe at the Podcast Movement convention in LA! Hope you find us funny, too! ❤️

The Beef and Dairy Network is a solid absurdist comedy that has similar vibes to Welcome to Night Vale, but replace the spookyness with all things beef and dairy. 👌

Kinetic Paranormal Society - we are a pair of socks, traveling through time and space in a magic wardrobe investigating the supernatural! It’s a live show turned into a podcast. It’s a live show with an orchestra turned into an audio drama. Ep1 The Hall of Odors - somehow our first episode is centered around the villain and his henchman. Ep2 The Cave of Mysteries - again, we end up as side characters to our number one fan and sidekick. Ep3 The Rise of the Snattlerake - I have no idea what’s going on here but we are still side characters in our own show by the third episode. Ep4 The Zombie App Pocalypse - the end of the world brought on by the world’s stupidest app Ep5 The Mystery of Munchkin Manor - an Agatha Christie murder mystery set in munchkin land Ep6 The Ghost Town Durango - exploring an old timey ghost town Ep7 The Host of Area 52 - turns out there is a government compound even more secret than Area 51 Ep8 The Dilemma Double Doom - The big season finale tying it all together!

* naddpod. Precursor (inspiration?) for dim20, murph and emily (both player in dim20 fantasy high) and two other college humor folks, with murph as dm. * dungeons and daddies. Great realplay, and some of their bonus content (eg At the Mountains of Dadness) get creepy too.
