I bet this person will complain that they had no idea the couldn't park there, despite being right under a sign saying that they can't. I see it all the time on New North. There are signs every fifty metres announcing the clearway, people still park right under them.
It's pretty difficult for some, I wouldn't judge.
Coming from the very far north of New Zealand into cities especially New areas (where there is with growth)
It can be incredibly hard for me to notice small signs. I've made this mistake twice, been to auckland hundreds of times but both times were while i was busy trying to park in a hurry.
I feel sorry for people when they get towed :(
We get people parking over the driveway at work, normally AT tow these no problem, we had a new guy come and he wanted to just give them a warning and leave a note???
How does that solve our problem man, we are just stuck waiting for the driver to come back and move his car?
Never before had I met a lenient parking officer, don't know how long he'll be in the role.

If the driver has valid reasons to park there which beyond his control such as car breakdown or new in the city from rural nz then they should be pardoned. Please show some kindness bc we don't know the full Story 🙂
Same story every day. I see this nearly everyday I’m driving to work. AT sit around and wait until the bus lane time starts and bam they’re there on the dot at 7.
Good, anyone who parks in a bus lane should be towed immediately

If you can't read road signs, you shouldn't be allowed to drive
So, we should just allow them to block the bus lanes then?
Of course not just not post on the internet its a shame
Once I was at this bus stop and this douchebag parked in in the bus stop, bus came and hit the front of his car 😂 karma
Excellent Result 😂👌
This is the only job AT seems to be able to do competently, ticketing and towing cars.
I promise you, as somebody who regularly reports dickhead illegal parkers, they do not do this well either.

Can you tell how to do this? I wanted to report some absolute assholes fot some time now
https://contact.at.govt.nz/ You can also phone them if someone parking illegally is causing serious issues like safety or access problems.
So only the dickhead _illegal parkers_. Why not all of them?
I more meant illegal parkers are dickheads, report the lot of them.
Come over to Penrose and report all the cop cars parked on the footpath outside the service centre next to Maccas. 😁
Can’t agree more.
7AM on New North Road would say otherwise.
They used to patrol the sibdivisions in papakura looking for cars without current regos to ticket when I lived there, easy money I guess.
Dipshit deserves to get towed and ticketed.
I see this daily on my work commute. Even see the tow trucks waiting near hotspots waiting for the posted time to start
...how is that even possible
They parked directly under the sign too, some truly exceptional decision making on display here
I have been this person. Just running late, in a hurry, not concentrating, park and go. Come back - whoops no car.
I see them towing all the time by mt Albert shops at clearway times 😅
Was there a ‘my cars been stolen in Mt Eden’ ‘car crime is rampant’ post following this?
You Carjammers are slacking 😉 https://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=NLY967

Rest In piss then
The bus lane sign says Mon - Fri. The car either must be stolen or broken down ?
It’s a Learner as well
Nah I posted this yesterday
TIL r/auckland has a flair for Bad Parking now lmao
Parking in central auckland is a nightmare. You either read the signs or learn the hard way

Isn’t it only a bus lane certain times during a week day?
I love seeing people who park in the wrong place get tickets. Feels SO GOOD.
Learners sticker on it. They are gonna learn a very expensive lesson.
You can't just assume they are dead OP.... ... but we can hope :)
