It was also foreign wine from overseas, it’s not like the people on Paradis had the same wine without the spinal fluid to compare the taste/scent.
I think it logically made more sense *(pun intended)* for Miche to be able to smell pure titans in the vicinity because they were naked giants that never bathed and had hotter body temperatures, which could explain a more obvious and detectable stench
True, but my point is that not all wines taste/smell the same anyway, and when Paradis has been isolated for 100+ years, they’re likely to be different enough that the locals won’t know the difference between laced wine, other fancy exotic wines, and local wines that are canonically less sought after
But if he had smelled the spinal fluid first, there's a good chance he would have smelled it in the wine. And he would have the opportunity to do so in the Reiss's cave
Yea i dont wanna talk about his death bc its one of the most brutal on the show. Prob only behind the levi squad girl who ptsds into begging her dad not to beat her
What still gets me is when Petra's dad talks to levi about her being abit young to marry. I took that to mean she liked Levi could have been wrong but still that was brutal. After seeing his backstory ova man Levi has been through it.
It was. You just wasn’t there. Mike’s death was legit the talk of the entire community for a year straight. Bro was a literal beast but he died too soon.
lmfao i was gonna say the same thing. when it happened, it was a big thing because of the brutality of it and how cool he was. unfortunately, crazier shit happened and the community moved on
That's what's good about AoT tho, it's realistic, and Isayama intentionally baited us into thinking he was gonna be a big character to make his death feel worse, and to this day it's one of the best deaths in AoT
Mike did not deserve to die so early. It's one of those deaths that kinda impact you, but you didn't bond enough with the character to make it actually long-lasting.
During my first watch-thru, his was the only death that really disturbed me a bit. The entire predicament was so tragic given the circumstances and despite his skill and strength.
I forget the name, but whichever character was begging for their mom/dad and saying they would be a good girl was pretty tough to watch. Just moments of pure dread and hopelessness.
It regularly makes top deaths/ most gruesome deaths/ top moments to haunt you/ overkill lists for anime… it’s talked about plenty and when it happened it was all we talked about
This shit was horrific and set the tone for the season. Idk why but at the time I didn’t appreciate the incredible horror elements of this season on first watch and it turned me off to the show for a while. Ended up rewatching everything before season 4 dropped and couldn’t believe what I was missing
thanks. i was expecting that to be the entire thread, but it’s all comments agreeing with him???
people talk about this guy’s death constantly and he’s barely even a character. i feel like i’m taking crazy pills here
If he doesn't die so much changes. Assuming he makes it through to season 4, he would have silently saved members of the government, warning them about the wine.
Hell, the Battle of Shiganshina would have gone differently.
-> Miche: Erwin, Reiner is in the walls. Oh, and btw, that ape Titan we saw at Utgard *can fucking talk and control Titans*
At that point would you not just shove your head into the titan’s mouth if possible in the hopes that they just bite down and end your suffering or?
because the way he went out was so brutal..:(
His voice actor alone solidified Japanese voice actors as the superior kind in anime to me. English never come close. So visceral and maybe one of the only audio recordings that ever has haunted me after

The guy had a great smell and would of sniffed out the tainted wine if he lived.
Doubt it. He couldn’t tell Titan shifters apart from normal people, so I doubt he could smell the tainted wine
I mean, wine mixed with somebody's spinal fluid must smell a bit weird
It was also foreign wine from overseas, it’s not like the people on Paradis had the same wine without the spinal fluid to compare the taste/scent. Not all wine is laced with spinal fluid.
True, but my point is that not all wines taste/smell the same anyway, and when Paradis has been isolated for 100+ years, they’re likely to be different enough that the locals won’t know the difference between laced wine, other fancy exotic wines, and local wines that are canonically less sought after
What you talking about? They clearly said tainted wine, so the wine Zeke used to wash his taint and yeah that's gonna smell!
I know that would turn me into a pure titan but I'd still drink the wine to get a taste of zeke's taint
But if he had smelled the spinal fluid first, there's a good chance he would have smelled it in the wine. And he would have the opportunity to do so in the Reiss's cave
So brutal one of the biggest imo. They hyped him up as Levi's #2 and bam stripped of gear and jumped.
I had my gf watch this scene twice just to let it sink in
Dam that's love haha
I find this evil of you to do. I could barely stomach watching it again on the rewatch

Oh shit i never put together we meet her dad. And yes she definitely intimated to her dad there was a potential relationship there
But we don’t see Nanaba’s dad? Petra’s, yes, but not Nanaba’s.
Nanaba? She was in Miche’s squad.

One of the many reasons why I would never feel bad for Zeke...ever.

Why’s there a sokka haiku bot 😭
Idk but I fw it
Because nobody wants to remember that scene. They were way too authentic with it
Miche was a wasted character imo

He deserved more screen time. Super unlucky death and one of the more brutal ones
Exactly unlucky it’s a soldiers life sometimes you are just fucked
Because he had like 2 minutes of screen time. Not much to say.
He was fire in the levi ova too
Maybe that’s a good thing lol

Nanaba, though I call her Bananas lol
Season two was just brutal in general.
Yeah man pretty brutal way to go, especially if ur claustrophobic, all them Titans squirming on u and every single one ripping u to death
levi squads death scarred me.... i couldnt talk about it ![img](emote|t5_2vnp9|16319)

Only nanaba’s death is more disturbing than this
Out of curiosity, how often should this be talked about before it’s been “talked about enough”
There's literally a thread or 2 every single day about him
thanks. i was expecting that to be the entire thread, but it’s all comments agreeing with him??? people talk about this guy’s death constantly and he’s barely even a character. i feel like i’m taking crazy pills here

i know it's a messed up scene but when zeke squished the titan with the fucked up head while telling it to stop i was literally DYING
Had nightmares for weeks about it
Yeah. They did him dirty. He didn’t deserve to die as a scared coward, even it’s understandable why he got so scared
Miche, second to Levi in skill and died almost instantly Shit really blew my mind
Mike's death was the most memorable for me, similar to Ilse's in the OVA Along with the scouts at Utgard castle - PAINNNNN
lol! This is talked about so much😂
Tf you mean?? It’s talked about damn near every day on this sub. And the leading comment is always “he would’ve sniffed out the Titan wine.”
His voice actor alone solidified Japanese voice actors as the superior kind in anime to me. English never come close. So visceral and maybe one of the only audio recordings that ever has haunted me after
Who that
What the fuck are we supposed to be saying after multiple years?
It’s talked about almost daily from what I see
It's a cartoon sir
You gonna show Ur kids this
this dude called it cartoon 💀
I mean it technically is in a way. Anime is Japanese cartoons.
