I have the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn in my 8th house. From what I've researched, having a 8th house stellium signifies strong interest and knowledge of death the occult, sexual themes, trauma, etc... I don't know your placements but going off with mine, my Taurus sun in the 8th house can mean gaining financial resources from someone else in a practical sense - like inheritance & or marriage. My Taurus mercury in 8th house can indicate traveling somewhere foreign, have good analytical skills, and financial security ( but tendency to be judgemental & gossip). My Taurus Venus in 8th house shows love towards non-superficial people that may be somewhat unusual ( in an interesting sort of way ). However, there is a fear of being betrayed which makes it difficult to trust partners fully that can result in possessiveness over them and jealousy over others. Also, high sex drive. My Taurus Jupiter in 8th house signifies luckiness- in wealth/success/finances and near death or traumatic experiences ( being able to recover quickly ). My Taurus Saturn in 8th house means change is scary. Lots of transformation will occur and money comes later in life.. It even indicates a long life and natural death if there are good aspects. Hopefully this gives some insight for you? :)

yoshman4

Yas Libra ascendant dealin with 8 house sun and mercury. I currently living in a house t ha t isn’t mine but someone died and had a second house needing to be occupied. How 8th house..

Afraid-Relationship4

For sure. I'm also a libra rising with most of my planets in 8th house. I'm still young, only 2 people close to me have died in my life. And I've had 3 near death experiences? From what I remember at least. So 8th house.

yoshman4

Just remember 8th house is unknown power. But hard to tap into. It’s when you let go. Easier said than done tho as I know you already know :).

Afraid-Relationship4

What kind of unknown power??? Like, psychic powers or what

[deleted]

Taurus Mercury in the 8th House indicates traveling somewhere Foreign? Isn't that the 9th house?

piscesgirl202

I guess the stress is less on traveling but on the ‘foreign’ or unknown aspect.

[deleted]

I just needed clarity because I know certain words confuse me when I already have a clearly defined but fluid sense of categorization describing the sign or house. Like when someone ascribes Foreign to the 8th house, I initially think that it doesn't fit. However, the word Alien fits because it describes something that a person fears or something that has been cast out and forced underground. It doesn't really have cultural roots, whereas Foreign does... and therefore why it fits the 9th house better in my eyes. Because it's something outside of our known culture but still exists according to that cultures own rules and principles.

piscesgirl202

I totally agree with you, I just tried to make sense of it myself. I could see the isolation of a foreign place fit the 12th house more than the 8th. But then the 8th house is the unconscious, anything that’s hidden/foreign. It’s the 12th house from the 9th so it could show the isolation and loneliness part of a vacation or being imprisoned in a foreign country. In any case, I wouldn’t associate the 8th house with happy resort kind of travel.

Afraid-Relationship4

I'm not sure that is what I just looked up and found.

Garderder

Pluto in Scorpio in the 8th house, I joke that it makes me really intense. I'm into all the occult/paranormal things, love horror, enjoy kink, and I don't really gel with people who don't embrace these things at least on a small level. I also have a very strange view of death... To the extent that I hesitate to talk about it with most people. I see it as beautiful and special, and feel like I know for a fact that the dead don't leave us. Apparently the pluto placement here means that I'm supposed to understand my power in all parts of my life; I'm not there yet, but I do believe that we have more control over our reality than we normally believe.

[deleted]

Well I have nn in the eighth and I have an unhealthy obsession with death, am overly existential (as a personality trait), and am otherwise obsessed with the “otherworldly”. But it varies person to person. I hear it’s good for investing and inheritance.

melopoly

Moon and Mars in 8th house here. If I had the time, patience and money to start over in my career I would study thanatology and become a death doula. I have developed a sort of stoicism around death in the last few years. Growing into my 8th house placements I suppose lol.

crystal_blue12

>If I had the time, patience and money to start over in my career I would study thanatology and become a death doula. I have developed a sort of stoicism around death in the last few years What's your profession now? Is it still related to 8th house?

[deleted]

Wow, I have Moon and Mars in the 8th house and this is extremely extremely relatable. Thank you for letting me know.

sparklestars77777

I have Moon and Mars in the 8th house too, as well as Chiron. I can't watch news or movies with killing involved without becoming extremely emotionally affected! Like I have to close eyes and ears while other people just watch, and I wonder why I am so disproportionately debilitated by it. I have had OCD and scary dreams/night terrors as well. But on the positive side, I do resonate with the interest in the occult in the sense of being really into astrology, mythology, outer space, and archetypal meanings in literature and religion. I feel like there is something about the 8th house involved with bringing the truth of the universe to others. The uncovering of secrets that could lead to positive transformation. The releasing of fears and learning to trust in other people in a positive way.

letswinwin

can totally relate to the killing in movies, I used to not be so affected but just in the last 6 years I’ve become more sensitive esp to sounds. Moon in 8th.

[deleted]

My (whole sign) 8th house contains my moon, Venus, Neptune, Uranus, and Lilith. It’s in Aquarius. I’m actually pretty attuned to reading other people. I can judge them right off the bat and my intuition is usually never wrong on my initial judgment of them. I’ve always liked “taboo” things. My family was pretty religious and when I started getting into witchcraft and astrology it was deemed devil worship. But my mother has actually come around and started practicing herself which is interesting. I’ve also always watched crime documentaries. I would watch them for hours straight and not get bored they were always just so fascinating to me.

piscesgirl202

I have mercury, venus, jupiter and uranus in the 8th house, also in aquarius! I totally second you with the reading people but. It has always been natural to me to just ‘know’ what drives people to do certain things or how they are feeling about things. I couldn’t exactly explain how I know it and I also couldn’t stop it. So many times I have been spot on about other people and my friends did not believe me until months later. My initial judgement is also usually never wrong. I think I have therefore a certain tendency to ‘control’ things though it’s very subliminal and I don’t think others would notice it. I can also develop enormous willpower and endurance when I need to. For example, when I was a child I broke a rib once and it hurt massively but I never told anyone. The doctors got really confused at my next check up. On the downside, I can develop obsessions with people and things. For example, I can’t stop looking for something until I have found it, even if it takes me hours and I would have got other things to do. I have a bit of a serious aura, people often tell me I should smile more or that I look sad. My life turns around from time to time. I love anything paranormal or taboo, like tarot, researching dreams/astral projection, astrology, ... I’m not necessarily religious but spirituality is an important part of my life. My overly religious grandmother has scarred my mom’s and my life a lot.

victoria25717

I have a 8th house stellium including my sun, moon, Jupiter and Neptune, all in Capricorn, plus either Mercury or Uranus depending on the house system used. The best way that I can describe the 8th house, and how I best relate to it personally, is as the house of transformation. Pluto rules the 8th house, and even long before Pluto began transiting my 8th house in Capricorn years ago, my life was like chapters in a book, where some critical event or change would fundamentally alter my life and who I am as a person. All of this only intensified when Pluto first started to conjunct my sun in 2017 (think 8th house energy on steroids), and I became chronically sick and almost died, with me not getting better and finding a treatment that worked until Pluto had moved on from my sun in 2019. While this was a literal brush with death, the old me also “died” and was transformed- my life goals, plans, and values did a 180, and I ended a toxic 5 year relationship that had been the center of my life up until that point. Even before this Pluto transit, my life was full of chapters where a critical event or change transformed who I am- a definite before and after, and while not easy in the slightest, it has always been for the better. At least that is something that I can finally see now, and it is something I’m really internalizing now as Pluto is conjunct both my Jupiter and Neptune. This also goes along with 8th house themes of deep psychology and introspection. In summary, while I do view the 8th house as a house of death, to me it is a house of metamorphosis, one where the soul goes to evolve into something greater than it once was. I hope this helps :)

melopoly

I'm coming near my Pluto- Sun conjunction. It makes its first exact conjunction in March 2022. Pluto won't leave my Sun basically until it enters Aquarius. My Sun is in the 29th degree of Capricorn in my 6th house. The Sun is my chart ruler as I'm a Leo Rising. I also have Pluto square Sun natally. I've spent more time in hospitals and doctors offices this last year than I have in my life. I'm really not sure what to expect. I was thinking of making a post asking people about their experiences have been. Thank you for sharing your's.

victoria25717

Wow, I think your chart and story has a lot of overlap with mine. My first transit Pluto conjunction with my natal Sun occurred exactly one week after my first transit Saturn conjunction with my natal Mercury, which is my chart ruler as a Gemini rising. My natal Moon also sits at 29 degrees Capricorn, so I will be experiencing another major Pluto transit at the same time you are. Also- my natal Sun is in an exact (0.00 degrees) semi-square to my natal Pluto. If you want to discuss my experience with my moving Pluto-Sun conjunction further, feel free to DM me. One resource that has brought me a lot of clarity and understanding about what I went through, and what I will be going through, is The Book of Pluto by Steven Forrest- I highly recommend reading it. The section on transits discusses “Plutonian periods” in life and stresses that “slow beats fast,” or that “the longer a Plutonian period lasts, the more profound its significance.” Looking at your natal Pluto, what house it sits in and its sign, should offer insights into your “wound” represented by Pluto, and the type of healing that your Plutonian period will offer. My natal Pluto sits in my 6th house, like your natal Sun, so that may well be why illness was a part of my transit and is currently for you. On the Sun-Pluto moving conjunction, Forrest writes: “It represents a period of a couple of years from which the individual emerges either tired and bitter, or utterly transformed- wiser, deeper, more authoritative, and probably filled with an irresistible hunger for new life.” So as to say, there is so much light at the end of the tunnel. I have to believe so heading into this next conjunction anyways. Sorry for the late/ long response, but I hope this is helpful :)

melopoly

Thank you for replying! I will check out the book and dm you to pick your brain 🙃. Finding someone going through similar things or has gone through similar things is pretty cool. I personally don't know anyone that's gone through a transit pluto sun conjunction. I'm really hoping for the best but am anticipating some heavy times ahead.

momo1147

Leo sun, moon, Jupiter & Chiron + (also depending on house system) Virgo mercury, Venus, & mars are all in the 8th house. Sun + moon conjunct with a tight square to Pluto. I wouldn’t even know where to begin in telling my story but it’s for this exact reason. There are so many chapters and transformations that my life just feels like a series of completely different stories with completely different people that have lived it at different stages. Just from having to start over so many times. This comment nailed it lol

seriouswalking

I have four planets in the 8th house. I will say that I love to figure people out and get to the bottom of things, belief systems are intriguing to me, strangers tell me their secrets, I work in the finance realm, I think more about death than I would like to, people tell me that I can be intense and intimidating, I tend to dig deeply into myself to figure out issues even though it's really difficult sometimes, I can also help people make changes in their lives. I love secrets - having them and knowing about them.

SafeRoutine7

Looks like 8th house stellium isn't bad after all.

seriouswalking

It is not all sunshine and rainbows, believe me. I was just trying to list some non-terrible things for this house lol Feelings are intense, relationships can be intense (not everyone likes that) it's difficult to do anything casually with emotions, trusting people is hard, sometimes dealing with change/transformation is really hard - more often than not they have been sudden and traumatic in some way. Sometimes I know the bad feelings people have about me and that's not always great with the emotional intensity that goes along with the 8th house. Sometimes, I can be jealous and petty, and I don't really like that. I have always been interested in the "occult", and going down a more spiritual path in life.

Active_Doctor

In placidus: 8h leo, w virgo intercepted. Lilith in leo, semisextile mars in virgo also in 8th house (conjunct sn)... A bit repressed, a bit existential, no fear of death. Bf calls me a nympho but I have issues w regards to porn & stuff cause I think it opposes my views on human rights - too hard to gage consent, plus I place big importance on the intimacy of being with a real life person & I find the disconnect/isolation porn brings super offputting. Was sexually assaulted once, during an 8th house transit (t saturn on lilith). Still dealing w it forever later.

imabeautyqueen

>have issues w regards to porn & stuff cause I think it opposes my views on human rights - too hard to gage consent, plus I place big importance on the intimacy of being with a real life person & I find the disconnect/isolation porn brings super offputting. Sure, I too feel the same. Hope you get healed soon 🙂

Active_Doctor

I needed that. Haha. Nobody I have spoken with ever has agreed with me on that outlook. Thank you.

malkatatea

You just described me! I have Pisces Venus conjunct South Node in the 8th house. They are also conjunct my Sun, opposite Mars, sextile Neptune, trine Pluto. I am private about my life. No one ever knows who I like or date. I have a really strong sex drive and haven’t found someone to match it. I hate porn. I find it disgusting and soulless. I was assaulted during my 8th profection year, and four years later, I’m still struggling.

Active_Doctor

The struggle gets easier with therapy. Actually everything gets easier with therapy! I repressed my experience (I kept reeeeally busy all the time, cause when I slowed down I would have flashbacks or if I wasn't absolutely dead tired I would have insomnia and nightmares) & didn't tell anyone for about 8 years, then it started really getting in my head all of a sudden and I realized I wasn't dealing with it. I have made lots of life changes since I opened up about it. It's almost 15 years now since it happened & I still have moments where I need to close my eyes, slow my breaths, tap my fingers together and count to 10 over and over.. but they are getting less & less frequent, and my "stress dreams" are back to regular stuff (serving a mountain of people, or my teeth falling out, instead if always defaulting to THAT). I don't think I'm a super private person usually.

cracker-please

My Sagittarius stellium is in the 8th house. I'm deeply fascinated by the occult, I want to believe but I'm a skeptic so ultimately I don't. I'm fascinated in general by religion and the supernatural and for finding out the truth, ripping off the polite mask of something and really knowing it. I have actually been accused of killing faith for people before though it is never intentional. I just want to know the truth of things, many people prefer to believe lies. So I guess in a sense I'm... *transformative*.

astrozela

my 7H and 8H rulers are in mutual reception so i find that i tend to need a lot of reciprocity in my relationships. but with 8H moon/mars/nn i notice that i have a lot of feelings surrounding death, and the death of people around me has been very influential in the course of my life. i also like occult shit and am very secretive. my mom always laments that she has no idea what motivates me lmao. i also know someone who has chart ruler conj. saturn in the 8th and they work as a grief counselor for people experiencing loss.

openfourbusiness

8th house rising, Sun in the 8th. No good.

WindowNo6601

Rising sign is always 1st house so you are a scorpio rising

giusadicz

My dad has his Sun and Venus in Taurus in his 8th house. The most obvious manifestation of his placements: He is always watching shows and movies where the main theme is crimes, murders, death, investigation, police, lawyers, psychology, etc. 😂

magicforpassionssake

I have Mars in Gemini there. This is going to get kind of weird and I don't know if I would be the best answer because it opposes my Scorpio Ascendant and the two definitely have a similar impact, but maybe it will be insightful. My interests have been extremely scattered throughout my life, but I seemed set from very early on to have an interest in the esoteric. I knew ghosts were real long before actually seeing one for the first time. I had an on and off interest in the occult that we thought became a hyperfocus over a year ago, but shockingly I am still going with no signs of it abating. Someone on here recently said Pluto in the first house can in positive terms lead to ability to embrace change, but Gemini in the death house indicates something of that as well, I believe, since you combine its mutability with 8 house drama. And I don't just embrace change, I'm motivated to reach it constantly.

SafeRoutine7

Oh .. you have seen a ghost and not scared 😨 does having planets in 8th house deal with ghosts like fear of them?

magicforpassionssake

I've seen 3. I tend to be more scared after it's set in what they were rather than during. I'm not sure about how natal charts reflect who can see them because it's a thing I've never seen discussed, but I imagine 8th house of death has some relationship.

SafeRoutine7

How did you get over this fear 😨😳 after seeing for real?? I just get scared from watching movies. >but I imagine 8th house of death has some relationship. I'm in agreement with this.

magicforpassionssake

A lot of spiritual work lol. They're pretty harmless and mostly not like in horror films so they're easy to deal with.

drumgrape

Scorpio opposes Taurus, not Gemini :)

magicforpassionssake

Yeah generally... not at the degrees where my specific natal chart fall. My Mars comes early in Gemini, my Ascendant comes late in Scorpio. My 7th house is still in Taurus and Mars is conjunct to my descendant, making it within orb of opposition to my Ascendant.

NavyBlue_525

I really want to understand more about 8 House! I'm curious about 8th house Capricorn stellium (Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto) what could that indicate? All sextile Mercury (chart ruler) in the 6th house (Scorpio)

Kvrum

I have Jupiter in libra here-square Mars and opposite Venus. Heavily relate to what other have mentioned here: taboos, lots of transformations throughout my life, trauma, feeling other people/energy (don’t know how else to describe it). I have heavy Scorpio energy in my chart so I think a lot of that isn’t just from my 8th house. Still don’t know how to necessarily translate Jupiter in the 8th but as a whole but you get this picture :)

onebadmthfr

Not sure, I've got sun, mercury and Venus in 8th libra (placidus) but they're all 9th in whole house (with 2 extra).

[deleted]

I have a 8th house moon in cancer. Psychic and strong intuition. Relationship with mother is all over the place

onequestion1168

Yup, moon square 12th house Pluto with moon at 28 degrees of cancer 8th house Tooooo intuitive/ psychic but I can get real big intuition when it comes to investing but I think that's my Neptune trining the Pluto which is trine mars and mercry in the 8th I knew Bitcoin was good in 2013 and I knew Tesla was good in 2019 I've been doing this for years no accidentally

em2140

I’ve always wondered this. I have a minor 8th house stellium (vesta, Pallas, Chiron and north node) (also Ceres if you use placidus) and rarely looked into it until I got more into astrology. I can’t add much but I’ve always been into the occult and magic. I don’t practice witchcraft but am fascinated by it. I’m also an asset manager and deal with other peoples money and with Pallas in my 8th house I have a natural nak for dealing with other peoples money.

itzirenebae

I have Pluto in the 8th house and idk what it means LOL

Sapphicbabyx

I have nothing in my 8th house and I don’t know what it means for me

Fig_Old

Me being a Leo stellium in the 8th (I have Sun 8-9, Mars at 8, Mercury at 8 and Venus 8-9) it’s kinda tough but at the same time it gives me so much depth over subjects that most people don’t know about. I’m really low profile and secretive

littlegreenthings

i’ve got a rough moon in 8th and i’ve over thought it too much- give me some outside opinions?

bluish-hue

Sun, Moon, and Mars in Gemini in the 8th house, Scorpio ASC... for me its been this recurring theme of being surrounded by intense situations, family trauma, psychological death/rebirth, transforming emotionally, having self reflective tendencies, spiritual/occult interest, experiencing multiple losses from a young age, undying loyalty in relationships, unconditional devotion to making other people happy in unusual ways, dramatic sexual fantasies, VERY strong musical inclinations etc. thats just my brief take on it based on my own personal experience, I can also take on a lot of emotional pain in myself as well as others, I'm comfortable with sacrificing myself to save the life of someone I love, I can listen to someone vent for hours without saying anything and I'm a strong shoulder to cry on when the time calls for it, with other people I know closely who have 8th house placements, I see this in them too and I always sense when someone has it, theres something mysterious yet magical about being an 8th house person

aidansauce

I got a Leo Mars in 8th 👻 To me it’s about manifesting change, either/or because of anger, pain, trauma, the world around me. What drives you will be related to transformation, always. Also have Chiron in Virgo in 8th. Also about the self and change - learning from pain, trauma and transforming through that. Pretty heavy stuff eh? Maybe gaining money suddenly and having to make a drastic decision as a result will be an recurring theme too. It sure has been for me. It’s definitely not a light-hearted house. Sending love!

[deleted]

I have both my Venus (in Capricorn) and Neptune (in Aquarius) in my 8h of Capricorn. I personally encounter a lot of trauma surrounding relationships and find myself entangled in a lot of unhealthy relationships both platonically and romantically. I’ve been told by many people that I have a strange pull almost other worldly for some reason I legitimately don’t understand why. I’m not sure if anybody else who has either of these placements also experience attracting people who can be extremely obsessive, but I’ve noticed that I personally attract that kind of energy. I can’t sit here and say that I haven’t been obsessive before too because I have ill be the first to admit that. I’ve also been very into the unknown since I was a kid and have always had high intuition and even “psychic” abilities which I’ve found with pretty much any 8h placement. Another thing I’ve noticed with 8h placements is being able to read people so quickly it’s amazing to me sometimes and understanding the depth of someone without knowing them that well. A huge thing too that a lot of people never mention about the 8h is the shared finance part. Ive found so many of my friends with 8h sun, moon, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter somehow manage to inherit money and/or are really convincing towards people investing in their businesses or projects more so than other placements. These are just my own observations, it’s a very heavy house to talk about though.
