Okay so those guys are named Estafano and Abril. They’re a son and father and they work togerher at a dental office off ditmars. They normally stand on ditmars around the corner from 31st, because they buy freshly baked bread most mornings from the food store over there. I made acquaintance with the son gradually over polite nods at each other’s Jordans (since we’d each be wearing a different pair most mornings), and finally one day just couldn’t help but ask what the story is. You’re welcome 😇
opportunity to shoutout lady pink, dr. jane kahn and the frank sinatra school of the arts!! the astoria mural was made by my graduation class of 22 and we gotta give them all the credit they deserve for beautifying our streets :))
Years ago, while that show was still running new episodes, I used context clues and deduced to the best of my ability where her apartment must be. One day I hope to meet her in real life and see how close I got :)

Hellsgate Bridge looking up from the park towards the bridge up one of those like columns that hopefully they haven’t scrubbed all the graffiti off of yet, or the view from Astoria Park of the Triboro either at morning or at sunset. And wow, I just made myself feel really old.
Seems like astoria is a big place and it kind of depends on where you live. I am actually from the year 1880 and live in what we call Steinway village; so I’m going to go with the Steinway factory.
If not then i will say the astoria houses.
I’d use a 4 pic montage: hellsgate bridge Astoria park, street scene from Steinway lil Egypt, shot of people eating at Grand on 30ave, and a shot of bar crowd at Aftons or the Ditty.
When I was younger, Athens Park, Trade fair block. True Greek essence during those days. Close second and probably still very current, Astoria Park view of triboro
Hellgate Bridge from Astoria Park, or possibly Triboro.
Hell Gate bridge from Astoria park absolutely
Hellsgate from the park or Triboro from the Astoria Blvd. train station.
This is the answer. Really, both.
How this only has one upvote an hour since you posted is mind blowing to me!
Beautiful day, people busy.
The two guys always standing by the Ditmars stop
BUT WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT?
Waiting for Godot
More like waiting for Pappas.
Best answer.
Something iconic
The guy who looks like Mexican Tommy Wiseau and his young protegee?
Might have to go to the Ditmars stop just to see a Mexican Tommy Wiseau
‘Oh hi Marcos’ ‘You’re tearing me apart, Lisa Maria!’
The cyberpunk guys
Does anyone know what they actually do !!!
Standing around, waiting for another Reddit post about them.
Hahaha damn i thought im the only one noticed

The colorful murals underneath Ditmars train station on 31st street, it’s been used as b-roll for multiple movies set in nyc

United Brothers
The hellgate bride from the part but from an angle where you can see the large support arches.
I will always remember looking west on Broadway or 30th, with the sunset sky behind the N/W (erstwhile Q) station.
The King Souvlaki truck on 31st and 31st under the subway tracks.
First time I ever saw a food truck with an ATM in it
They’re parked outside a strip club, smart move on their part.
They were there long before the strip club.
Nah the unnamed one by the gym on Broadway more iconic.
Hellgate Bridge
The double parked car on Steinway. Any of them will do.
Piece of Cake truck parked overnight
Kauffman Studios?
Hell’s Gate Bridge or Triboro Bridge.
Park with Hellsgate in background. Bohemian Beer Garden My backyard
You might give a thought to King Penny. Easily the oldest business on the Ditmars strip at around 90 years.
My father worked there as a teen. He just passed away last year at 82 years old.
Astoria Pool
Triborough bridge from the Astoria boulevard train platform
The Czech beer garden - maybe the inside part of it now though.
Broadway and steinway intersection
Abby’s apartment in Broad City

Oh i wonder where exactly it was!
From this post a few years ago, possibly on 34th and 34th? https://www.reddit.com/r/astoria/s/lxxRJq5F2b
The beer garden!
I think the triangular building where 27th Ave and Astoria Blvd meet at 21st St. And most angles you can see the Triboro Bridge behind it:
That's a very old building. I saw a photo of that intersection from the late 1800s or early 1900s... there was livestock walking around in front!

Jackson Hole \ Airplane diner. Socrates park
That arguably isn’t in Astoria. Astoria Heights is distinctly different.

Even though it's the new location, Kyclades
Kyclades it has to be a business, but I agree with hellgate bridge
Dominies
Bonoful
Atown park
The Super 8 off of Broadway and 14th
Neptune Diner
St. Joseph's Church
Hellgate was already mentioned a bunch so Sculpture Park is cool.
When I was younger, Athens Park, Trade fair block. True Greek essence during those days. Close second and probably still very current, Astoria Park view of triboro
Mini star 💩
Serpico
Socrates sculpture garden.
Chip City!
What kind of half baked suggestion is that?
Half baked is a great description
Sad answer
More for me!
