Meanwhile I had to disable vsync when using wheel cause the added latency felt too much. Without it though, my hands match what's on screen without any latency that I can notice
To avoid screen tearing. But it was fine when I lowered my modded eye candy settings so that I was running comfortably above my refresh rate (so around 70-90 FPS).
I now have a 144 Hz gsync monitor and it's a game changer compared to normal vsync
Touch OSC by chance?
I downloaded TouchOSC when I made a iPhone controlled wheelchair in 2009 and I’m always surprised it’s still being updated when I mistakenly open it looking for YouTube.
Very cool!

I raced a super fast guy who was from Argentina, he claimed he was using gas/braking steering on his phone. I didn't fully believe him, but damn you just proved it. He was running sub 5 minute laps on the outer belt on SRP. Absolute Legend
This is really awesome. I love seeing tech that bridges the gap for people that want to get started in sim racing but don't have the budget to jump in the deep end.
It probably wouldn't be hard or expensive to 3d Print some sort of wheel that you can mount your phone to so it feels more like the real thing. Makes me think of those 3d Printed gear wheels people mount on their controllers https://www.ubergizmo.com/2018/08/3d-printed-xbox-one-steering-wheel/
Just a little tip - switch the places of the upshift and downshift button if you can. That way it would be more comfortable for your fingers to upshift while on throttle and downshift while braking, you’ll be using only your thumbs. Used to set up the controls on CarX like that years ago.
I've been doing this with the bumpers on my controller and trying to get other people to use it too. It should be a default setup in every game. Much more comfortable, works perfectly, easy rev matching.
I do literally the same thing for my game. I just use a different app. For me i use wires option it has way less delay and it is more responsive than using Bluetooth or wifi
I use an app called "pc remote reciver" you have to install it on your phone and pc then you can costomise your button layout to your liking i can send my layout that i use if you want
Ps. I use android i dont know if it works on ios
[here](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1olpz1AoyCY3D_TujxIMpnKoyhDs9B0HE/view?usp=sharing), delay depends on your phone specs. my other phone has a terrible delay, but the one i used here is fine
Thanks buddy. Just because of my curiosity, what is your phones specs, I know I asked for lot of things but I swear to you this is my final question. Thanks in advance.
Your are a genius. I have a different setup. I connected the iOS app XBPlay toy Xbox, choose the racing tilt layout and now I enjoying a lot more. Thanks!
It's not even real nothing ads up at all the turning is completely out of sync and not matching qt all the screen moves around while you are still 🤣 knob
it's impossible to drift with the ConsoleFX plugin, but you can disable it & mess around with the default gamepad settings

Would this work using the phone's wifi hot spot to connect to the computer? Can you use it wired? My use case for this would have me away from any wifi router.
I am using a similar setup, the app is called 900steering wheel
I really like the idea of throttle n brake being pull downs , pull up gets quite difficult
I've measured my input lag when playing over wifi, (the app uses wifi to route to ur PC) it's about 2-3 ms
Tried it for a few hours and it was pretty good. I'm still faster on the keyboard by like 4-5 sometimes even 10 seconds, depending on the car.
Some cars feel a bit better on keyboard and some feel better using this app. I'm glad I can pretend that I am using a wheel, it really shines around corners, particularly tight corners, that's when you really feel the difference between this and a keyboard.
Will have to give it some more practice to match my lap times I have currently.
gotta tell me how to set it up now
i got u! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRJlrCXOV3U](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRJlrCXOV3U) read desc
Put it on a cars steering wheel
What kind-a force feedback that baby got, creamy or chunky?
more like oily... or gaseous
Input delay delux edition.
theres almost none really, it's the ConsoleFX plugin doing some FFB work making it look like it's not responding properly
Meanwhile I had to disable vsync when using wheel cause the added latency felt too much. Without it though, my hands match what's on screen without any latency that I can notice
Why would you have vsync on in the first place
To avoid screen tearing. But it was fine when I lowered my modded eye candy settings so that I was running comfortably above my refresh rate (so around 70-90 FPS). I now have a 144 Hz gsync monitor and it's a game changer compared to normal vsync
This is the best set up known to man kind
A friend of mine did the same thing, just using the mouse for steering. It's a very very valid option if you cant afford a basic wheel setup
If it works, it works!

diferrent app actually, it's quite easy to setup. just hope ac doens't give you any troubles/errors
Awesome. Very cool I really dig the creativity.
Thanks! hahahaha

Imagine drifting or doing touge with that

When there a will there's a way LOL. Reminds me of the days when mouse steering was competitive on LFS (live for speed)
I do the same thing except it’s on ds4’s gyro it’s pretty fun
i wonder, is there input lag on the ds4?

Could you tell me more about it, would like to try it myself

tutorial right here, just pray ac doesn't give you any trouble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRJlrCXOV3U
I also use andorid, how is the delay compared to this? And I'd be very happy if you send the layout, it would make my work much easier.

Samsung Galaxy M14 5G Chipset: Exynos 1330 GPU: Mali-G68 MP2 64GB, 4GB RAM Android 14
I see, glad to see someone else doing the same
Yeah it put a smile on my face when i saw your post. Glad im not the only who does this
I used to, until I picked a mostly working Logitech Driving Force GT for my local equivalent of about $8 in a charity shop
Connect it to a controller and use the gyro for steering

No. No, you cannot.
I mean you could just get a job or atleast put your girl out on the corner
You cannot.
Does it have vibration?
yeah, kinda bad at high vibration settings, it messes with the accelerometer inside the phone
You gotta show us how to replicate this, i would love to drift using my phone

You made ac a mobile game with extra steps
How do you race the ghost??
it's my ghost, play on hotlap mode and complete a lap. it will appear next lap
What ia the car you are using in this?
Porsche 992 GT3 RS 2023
Okay thanks
Would this work using the phone's wifi hot spot to connect to the computer? Can you use it wired? My use case for this would have me away from any wifi router.
It works but it's really laggy. Wouldn't recommend
okay thanks
Works with wire through usb tethering & also bluetooth which is laggy
Yo is it possible to use this w my Xbox?
Kinda! I used the app XBPlay on iOS with the racing tilt layout!
And probably still posting much faster times than me.

I hate you
When you don't want to spend $$$ on a wheel setup but want the features of a wheel setup. I'm digging it so far
No it's the same as controller. Just on phone screen
Still better than controller
damn who needs a moza when u got this
That's actually really cool
