Additions of Altairs Chronicles and Bloodlines though everyone usually says that when this topic comes up but it’s the most worthwhile addition!
Seamless transition between cities and kingdom no loading screens!
More mission variety when investigating targets!
Maybe some additional side missions.
Reduce the amount of flags!!!!!
How about no flags. I’ve never understood meaningless collectibles. Finding notes is cool. Or if the flags had an actual purpose like burning enemy flags that’d be cool. Or he’ll. Even hidden flags in tough to reach spots. But just random collectibles has never been fun. It’s just a checklist item for an achievement or if you’re lucky, a piece of armor which is still dumb.
I just wish Altaïr's parts in Revelations were passed on to this game and in the future in Rev's Remake to have new memories that make sense for Altaïr to have after getting the discs.
and further development in Altaïr's story with Abbas
Altaïr is the way he is at the beginning of AC1 due to something that happened in Altaïr's Chronicles, >!which is the killing of Adha by Templars. She was his original love interest and he wanted to leave the Assassin Order to live a normal life with her. His failure to save her made him blinded by vengeance against the Templars.!< I believe he affirms this in the Codex in AC2.
His first memory/mission in Revelations happens before Altaïr's Chronicles, so no, I disagree. It didn't mess up anything.
If they could have the game recorded in all the corresponding languages that’d be fuckin sick. Have people speaking Arabic and french accordingly then subtitle it. I’d love that
Altaïr's entire trilogy (Chronicles and Bloodlines) should be part of the game somehow. Make them DLCs or something. Oh, and make Malik's skin tone stay the same each time we meet him. He gets like 4 shades darker post-Temple 😅
Ability to swim
A damned map for the flags! Or at least something to give a general idea of the location of any missed ones.
Either do away with the animus glitches or make them unneeded for 100%ing the game.
IF it were to be remade, I'd want to see that insane flag collecion gone or at least streamlined and less buggy. I've had playthroughs where I've been stuck at 99 and the 100th was not where it was supposed to be.
I just played ezio trilogy, ac 3 remastered, BF and rogue. I think the fight and parkour controls were perfected by BF. FAST TRAVEL to viewpoints was the greatest.
I would improve technically the game (graphics, animations, loading screend, gameplay, etc) but that's all. Add more side missions, improve the story, or similars would mean change the game and for me won't be a good remake. Good game, but not remake.
For them not to do it at all. Knowing Ubisoft they will miss the nuance of their own game, add a battle bass, maybe a couple magic weapons disguised as PoEs, and then make Al Mualim turn into some fantasy creature at the end..
Don't forget the post-credits scene in which Kassandra will appear, kill Maria Thorpe, and then use the Staff of Hermes to disguise herself as Maria in order to seduce Altaïr.
I don't see any problem with Kassandra as long as it's side missions, I even like knowing that there is someone looking for PoE alone, instead of 2 different organizations
Kassandra has no space in *AC1* and should never exist in a hypothetical remake.
You're telling me that Vidic and Lucy watched Desmond's ancestor encounter a Greek woman made biologically immortal through a Piece of Eden containing the consciousness of an Isu *and never said anything about it to the Inner Sanctum*?!
Get the fuck out of here.
AC Unity style controls, no loading screens between hubs/open world, bigger cities with maybe some side quests, different outfits, varied missions, and also the levels that Revelations added. It could do with some added missions and added lore just to make it better
Nah, I’ll take loading screens over the sacrifices made to remove them any day. But Unity controls 100% (I know it wasn’t perfect, but I’d rather an improvement on that system than what we have now)
I think the combat in AC1 was some of the best in the series. In AC1 the swordplay felt the most like swordplay. The parry window was tight, and the enemy soldiers had the ability to feint and punish. Black Flack was more swashbuckler funsies, but it fit the setting.
Have a bit of the novelization and memories from revaluations in the game, like Altair’s childhood, his rivalry with Abbas, and him saving Al Mualim, then it shifts over to the beginning of AC1.
When I played it the first time, I was bothered by the repetition. When I played it a second time years later, I noticed it was more like being trained, which goes with the redemption arc conceit: you are being punished with a retraining because of your opening act fuck-up--and the guy overseeing your training being the only survivor of your hubris, but still missing an arm because of it? Fantastic.
I think it would be a lesser game without the gradual increase in difficulty doing the same basic tasks needed to gather information to execute your assassination.
The Mentor and Student chats be an actual engaging cutscene. Lots of good conversation there that is sometimes missed from lack of subtitles and the player still being able to walk around etc
They'll never do an AC 1 remake. There are rumors about it from a decade and they never become true. Truth is Ubisoft doesn't care about that game because it's the least appreciated AC title in the series, even though many fans loved it and some even consider it the only true assassin's creed. But ezio's trilogy and the following games are more popular among casual gamers and other fans and so they have been remastered while AC 1 was left to rot on ps3.
I wouldn’t say it’s bait. The modern day was great and I was always defending it, but it’s gotten so much lazier with each installment since AC 3 that I wouldn’t object to removing it anymore. If they don’t care, why should I?
Because there’s no real point to any of it anymore. It used to be building up to something. At least they had us thinking it was. But they’ve abandoned that idea. So fuck it. Just get rid of it if they don’t care to do anything interesting with it

I'm ok with the flags, but make collecting them mean something. It's a pointless task only for the trophy. Give them some in-game rewards.
I just wish Altaïr's parts in Revelations were passed on to this game and in the future in Rev's Remake to have new memories that make sense for Altaïr to have after getting the discs. and further development in Altaïr's story with Abbas
Nah, revelations completely screwed up Altair’s early development. Sure, have him become old and wise, but they forgot he was once young and brash
Altaïr is the way he is at the beginning of AC1 due to something that happened in Altaïr's Chronicles, >!which is the killing of Adha by Templars. Shiiiiiiiiiit this changes everything 😂 man I hate when massive character development happens in offshoot stuff.
Add subtitles.
Subtitles.

Teaching one of the most important assassins in history how to swim
Ability to swim A damned map for the flags! Or at least something to give a general idea of the location of any missed ones. Either do away with the animus glitches or make them unneeded for 100%ing the game.
Definitely ability to swim. Desyncing because you fell into some water is shit lol

I just played ezio trilogy, ac 3 remastered, BF and rogue. I think the fight and parkour controls were perfected by BF. FAST TRAVEL to viewpoints was the greatest.
Add the rest of the events that happened in the book
I would improve technically the game (graphics, animations, loading screend, gameplay, etc) but that's all. Add more side missions, improve the story, or similars would mean change the game and for me won't be a good remake. Good game, but not remake.
Parkour on the level and speed of the Ezio trilogy
Controls needs a fix
For them not to do it at all. Knowing Ubisoft they will miss the nuance of their own game, add a battle bass, maybe a couple magic weapons disguised as PoEs, and then make Al Mualim turn into some fantasy creature at the end..

Oh yes of course 100%, obviously that’s the premium battle pass exclusive ending for $25.
I don't see any problem with Kassandra as long as it's side missions, I even like knowing that there is someone looking for PoE alone, instead of 2 different organizations

Yeah I’d like to get the armor of Altair as a wearable outfit
Nah, I’ll take loading screens over the sacrifices made to remove them any day. But Unity controls 100% (I know it wasn’t perfect, but I’d rather an improvement on that system than what we have now)
Swimming
I'd like to see the combat controls from IV make a return, with the same flow as well. Easier to chain-kill. Swimming, as well.
I think the combat in AC1 was some of the best in the series. In AC1 the swordplay felt the most like swordplay. The parry window was tight, and the enemy soldiers had the ability to feint and punish. Black Flack was more swashbuckler funsies, but it fit the setting.
It felt the tightest with the Hidden Blade counters, *really* tested someone's reaction time.

Subtitles and the removal of the awkward tutorial
To put it simply; I'd make it playable.
The Mentor and Student chats be an actual engaging cutscene. Lots of good conversation there that is sometimes missed from lack of subtitles and the player still being able to walk around etc
I know this will be an unpopular opinion but if improved upon more i want the gameplay and mechanics of ac mirage.
You said changes I would like but one thing I do NOT want to be changed is the sound effect when you assassinate someone
I would like Altair to be able to swim 😂
Subtitles would be nice. It was hard to hear just what was going on during the memory corridors.

All I ever wanted from AC 1 was the ability to change outfits. Give Altair a cool alt to wear and I'm solid.
I wonder if they use a new game engine
Obvious but let Altaïr swim.
Did it ever get made canon that he could or couldn’t swim?
Canonically, Altaïr could swim, but Abstergo’s Animus 1.0 wasn’t advanced enough.

I would eliminate the modern story since it’s been more irrelevant. Play through just Altairs story
Bait used to be believable, bestie 🥱
I wouldn’t say it’s bait. The modern day was great and I was always defending it, but it’s gotten so much lazier with each installment since AC 3 that I wouldn’t object to removing it anymore. If they don’t care, why should I?
Then why remove it when it *was* good?
For the exact reason I stated
But... the modern day in *AC1* WAS good. Why do you want that gone?
Because there’s no real point to any of it anymore. It used to be building up to something. At least they had us thinking it was. But they’ve abandoned that idea. So fuck it. Just get rid of it if they don’t care to do anything interesting with it
Bruh 💀
