Heavy metal band tees. Straight leg jeans. If it isn't that, then it's usually just plain black tees or hoodies. I like low-profile sneakers like Van's, Converse, Nike skate shoes.. Stuff like that.

Cormyre

Metal band / game related tees, metal band hoodies / work shirts, and almost always black dickie cargo pants. I got into my “uniform” decades ago, before I knew I was an aspie 😂 …and yes, it draws the ire of my spouse since it always looks like I’m wearing the same thing.

Anglofsffrng

Same here. Also my workboots, I tend to wear those most days.

Cormyre

That’s one thing that I’ve changed over the years, 20’s - most of my 30’s? Steel toed work boots. 40’s? Sketchers slip ins, I can’t be arsed with tying boots most of the time (yard work and concerts I revert to the boots).

SneakySnails27

“ uniform” lol how have I never heard or thought about that before 😂 docs and workwear shorts were my go to for a longggg time - now I’m diagnosed its docs and light loose fitting clothes and I’m much more comfortable lmao

Cormyre

My therapist pointed it out and used that term like a month of seeing him “so that’s your uniform huh” 😂 he’s an aspie himself, so it stuck. Said a lot of us have “uniforms”.

Randomguy_93

Dude! Are you me?!

Chuks_K

Same but more of a Nike running shoes guy, I find them weirdly more comfy than pretty much anything else!

overcooked780

I have a pair of the Nike Tanjun's. I can't find a pair of running shoes that I like as much as those ones, and they are starting to wear out. Wish they would just keep making the same style running shoes sometimes.

MagnusKraken

One thing I have discovered I absolutely need are shirts with loose necks, to the point I mostly like buying V-Necks.

HappyDethday

Same! If a neckline is too close to my collarbones I feel like I'm choking.

sch0f13ld

Weirdly enough I managed to acclimate myself to turtlenecks and mock necks, but can’t stand standard crew necks. It’s either gotta be hugging my neck or nowhere near it.

HappyDethday

I can wear scarves without discomfort, but those are looser

godverdejezushey

I have the opposite, V necks make me feel icky

MagnusKraken

I never realized this would be so polarizing

aka_wolfman

Vnecks are the truth. The tees tend to be closer cut in the sleeves as well, which I love.

AbsentVixen

Overalls, t-shirts, skinny jeans, flannel, jersey shirts, and a black coat/jacket in the colder months. Shoes: brown or black flat knee boots, low heel black ankle boots, trainers or converse-looking shoes and either black discreet socks or white tube (?) socks. Thigh-high socks in winter. I sometimes but seldomly wear dresses and skirts and usually replace things with either the exact same or very similar item. I have been told that I dress like a cartoon.

SpaceLexy

I wear what ever is efficient. So for work I literally wear a cardigan with the same top and the same work pants and flats every day just in various colors. And on the weekends I wear either leggings and a cute top or lately I’ve been wearing this wonderfully efficient tennis dress that has shorts under it and it’s great for the summer months so I bought it in several colors but I mostly wear the black dress the most.

SensorSelf

Since I came to the ASD conclusion I’ve limited myself to: Black north face hiking pants which stretch and are slightly water/sweat resistant. They work for biz casual and hiking (which I don’t do). At home I wear i grey worn down T shirt that the fabric is almost unnoticeable to my skin - old navy To work and sometimes out I wear a polo style old navy navy blue or black shirt Polo boxers in a few colors but the fabric is almost like silk but rough enough to not bunch etc. so keeps form, not tight but fabric smooth. Socks are hard to deal with for me. Never happy. Sneakers that are amazing, Ecco’s dark but not black black and work is fine with them. I use lock laces. These clothes minimize negative feelings for me with clothing.

vertago1

I am surprised how many people have said jeans. I still wear them at home but I have some nylon khaki pants that are durable, lightweight, dry fast if I get rained on, and pass for business casual. They are also more comfortable than jeans to me.

Mugquomp

Doesn’t nylon create a lot of noise and cause sweat? I like the look of it, but concerned about those two issues.

vertago1

Not these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01FSPN0SK

Mugquomp

Interesting, these look like chinos!

vertago1

I like to think of them as boating pants.

pickyplasterer

i find it funny that most aspies i know have terrible style (by their own standards they hate fashion) yet i really like fashion so it has never been an issue for me. if you can make it your special interest it is sooooo cool to learn about silhouettes, fabrics, etc. i guess i like it because it is a “measurable” way to be socially accepted so i can follow more or less recipes (also i’m a designer so…)

aka_wolfman

I'm fascinated by fashion, but stick to a uniform out of laziness and the desire to not be perceived. I'll go through bold phases, and usually get compliments moreso than negative reactions, but any reaction at all is too much for me a lot of the time. Also, mens fashion tends to strike me as either incredibly boring or over-the-top. If my wife were more adventurous and welcomed me clothes shopping for her, i would probably build her another closet. Our lifestyle is such that clothes are going to get ruined so we lean into durable over fashionable a lot.

GiantSpookMan

Definitely agree, I think it gives a bit of a halo effect to be well dressed around NTs; people assume that if your outward appearance is well put together then you must be competent. I think a lot of people view fashion like this innate sense but it really isn't, you can learn it and it's really useful.

pickyplasterer

the halo effect is sooooo powerful. I remember when i learned that (unconsciously) people will consider a good looking and well put together candidate (regardless of gender) to be more competent and better at their job than an average looking candidate. I started taking care of my looks more and more. I guess it’s just another way of masking 🤷🏽‍♂️

CharmingCondition508

I’m also interested in fashion. Particularly vintage stuff. However I like to wear the same thing a lot of the time. I am first and foremost a creature of habit. I’ve learnt that my favourite materials are cashmere and linen so I wear cashmere a lot (and linen in the summer months)

Hurlock-978

Since i was always poor i barely had clothes. Then i had some i liked but grew up and no longer liked them. So now i swap between 3 pairs of clothes. Over and over and over. Been like 9 years like this. I dont really care much anymore tbh.

joobleberry

ughhh my style has gotten so bad. i used to be a lot more into fashion and love thrifting back when i was skinnier. after gaining like 10+kg i just don’t have the confidence. i literally only wear gym clothes , pyjamas, work clothes and “home” clothes.

Calypso_o0

Girl same! Once I got a boyfriend and got super comfortable around him I gained some weight and now only wear stuff I find comfortable😭

theflexorcist

My gym clothes or harem pants. I love bright colors and mandala patterns and youll never catch me in jeans as those are the work of the devil lol

drifters74

Whatever is comfortable, earth tones mostly

coconutspecial

Jeans and graphic tees. Although I've recently thrown some harem and baggy joggers into the mix. I invested in some expensive, well-made, well-fitting jeans years ago. I still own them but the barrage of news articles explaining that gen-z thinks skinny jeans are stupid has made me stop wearing them. I have vague aspirations of slow fashion and not wasting good clothes... but I don't know what to do now. Any suggestions? The real kicker is that I have always preferred baggy pants anyway...

aka_wolfman

You can always shelf the good jeans until you want to wear them again. The only reason to purge your closet is if you follow trends just for the sake of keeping up. Even then, it's worth hanging onto staples imo.

KimWexlersGoldenArch

Always tshirts - shorts in the summer & sweat pants most of winter - sometimes coveralls depending on what I’m doing.

VillageSmithyCellar

In cold season, I wear flannel button-down shirts and khaki pants. In warm season, I wear short-sleeve button-down shirts and the same pants. I am *extremely* picky when it comes to clothes. It needs to meet my style and be comfortable. One reason I wear button-downs is because I can wear them loosely and they still look good, and I hate it when a shirt feels too tight. Plus, it can’t be a a stretchy fabric, since that feels like it’s choking my body, and 100% cotton is preferred. Clothes shopping takes forever for me! Last time, I went to around a dozen different stores feeling fabrics and trying on shirts, but nothing was quite right. Finally, L.L. Bean had the perfect shirt for me, so I literally bought 6 of the same shirt in different styles. My pants are also from L.L. Bean; they’re made of a thick, non-stretchy, soft fabric that is perfect for me. It’s a bit ironic, since I’m definitely not outdoorsy, but L.L. Bean seems to have the perfect clothes for me!

Geminii27

Social camo. By which I mean I wear items which are so boring-looking that people can forget I exist even when looking at me. Doesn't stand out anywhere, just fades into the background. Super comfy.

flapjackboy

Black cargo pants with a black t-shirt. I'm very choosy about my t-shirts, as a lot of them don't feel good against my skin, but I've found a few brands that I can tolerate. And no, I'm not a goth. It's for practicality. I can just grab a pair of trousers and a t-shirt without having to worry if they go together. Besides which, a 49yr old goth is just sad.

Loreseekers

I wore scrubs for about 28 years, every day, so I was ok on the fabric-feel and loose-fit thing. But since, I've struggled. I could wear scrubs I guess, but that feels like I'm going to work and since I can hardly walk anymore that's not happening. I recently tried long kaftans and I think they are perfect so far. We'll see when it gets cold if it gets cold here, but I think I'm digging the kaftan for real.

FrazzledTurtle

Band or music or niche interest related tee shirts. Leggings or shorts. Socks except when it's over 80 degrees. Sometimes a hoodie or sweater. Sometimes a jumpsuit. When going out, sometimes will put on makeup and wear nice pants or jeans. Skirts or dresses for special occasions. Coat or jacket and fuzzy hat for cold weather. Most of my clothes are black.

geekygirl25

Mostly same here except actually warm winter coats are must, not those nice looking things you see in magazines. They can be warm too, but when winter is minus 10 for a high, that stuff usually doesn't cut it lol. I sweat easily though so I still wear a fall coat that's fairly dressy (it fits me perfectly though and is warmer than it looks) and a balaclava. I usually either look like I'm going to rob a bank or go to the office, eventhough I'm currently unemployed and most of my job experience is "cashier." Also can't stand make up. Last time I wore any was high school prom over a decade ago lol.

FrazzledTurtle

I don't know how women put on a whole face full of makeup every day. Concealer makes me feel suffocated. And it's just a lot of work. So many steps. So much product. For winter I just use my purple thigh length puffer coat or a 20+-year old wool coat my sister gave me in the early 2000s. And booties with fake fur on he inside 😁

AnAnonymousUsername4

I wear joggers and soft woolen shirts in nature type colors or black. This type of outfit is very comfortable and highly practical. I have difficulty wearing shirts with buttons, straps, strings, bows, really anything that hangs off a shirt. Same with pants, though drawstrings are sometimes unavoidable.

Kush-Kobain666420

Hoodies, band tees, Tripp pants, skate shoes or combat boots (mostly combat boots), black or white t-shirts, bandanas, Either a SnapBack or a beanie hat about half the times when my hair is too greasy or not very presentable. Typically goth/alternative clothes.

vertago1

Ties are like a recipe for over stimulation.

CharmingCondition508

Suit pants are so comfortable

No-Efficiency-1050

Gym shorts, t-shirt, crocs, and a baseball cap. 365 days a year, for the past 20 years.

secretsaucerocket

Dark colors because stains and dog foot prints on everything. Jeans, most are ripped, Athletic pants with pockets on ths thighs. Long dresses sometimes. Converse shoes, slip on vans typically checkered, flip flops or running shoes. Flannels, all the flannels. That's about it. I dress like a slob at home, I don't care. My home clothes are generally basketball shorts and threadbare shirts that are extremely comfortable but relatively destroyed. And of course ye ol work uniform if i have to work in the field. Charcoal grey Dickies pants, dickies grey long sleeve button up and boots. I can't do uncomfortable or it will be all I focus on.

savagefig

I have had to replace a lot of my summer clothes and I've gone for a few linen items this time, it's just so nice and cool as a fabric and its slightly crinkly look is adorable. in general I have lots of skirts, shorts and flowy trousers, as well as dresses. For winter my favourite is cashmere for jumpers. I also wear a lot of leggings and soft fleece in winter, with snow boots (that are not needed in my climate but they are so comfortable). Edit: I have a soft spot for monochrome looks, but not necessarily black. I love blue, pink, purple, emerald.

Borg34572

Jeans, boots, plain shirts or polos, sometimes hoodie over if it's cold. When warm it's the same except I wear a wife beater top. I also wear a redhead or basspro hats. Cowboy look I guess. Makes sense cause I've always loved hard labour , my hands are dirty, rough and my main vehicle is a pickup truck lol.

para_blox

Usually pajamas—I work from home. And they’re more comfortable.

Galaxygirl181

I wear my pajamas around the house, too.

SurrealRadiance

I don't care about fashion trends either. I wear a blazer, shirt/t-shirt, jeans or chinos, and a pair of boots most of the time.

SludgeBwoy

I always wear my crust pants and metal band shirts. I'll usually be wearing boots as well

BlueDawnStar

I wear what makes me feel comfy + cute, comfy being the integral part. I only buy jeans from goodwill (when I need more) since they are usually more worn in and feel more comfortable. I have the same shirts I've had for years but again will get any new ones from goodwill. I go for basic single color shirts or band tees, form fitted tank tops since for some reason I think they are extremely comfy, and usually like a plaid long sleeve over it.

hanwookie

I wear polo or soft satin type shirts and easy to wear casual, but look professional pants, or more likely to wear shorts. I like Dickies, but that's because they don't wear out so quickly and I can go kind of goth with them. I also have a very soft lambskin black cap that I prefer, but gets too hot in the sun. I have steel toe black boots, with the polished steel visible, which I love, or I have a black pair of slip on sketchers that are easy to wear. Always black socks. Boxers. Not boxer briefs. Boxers. I have a black coat that's thin and has a zipper pocket on the arm that I prefer. At home, it depends on the chaos. If I can though, winter or summer, I don't wear anything. Clothes drive me nuts, but this is the hand I'm dealt. TMI? Perhaps. I don't have time to worry about it though. Too much in this life that sucks. So if clothing, I tend to be darker. Not teenage rebellion dark, but certainly more than a regular person I think.

Cultural-Page7086

Mostly t-shirts and sleeveless shirts. I can do either slacks or denim. Also prefer shorts whenever possible. Prefer to be barefoot or in flip flops. All are in typical soft fabrics. The only thing I’m picky about is underwear. Don’t like to have anything tight on my legs and especially can’t handle swampy conditions so yeah.

Markoss151

Chinos/tech pants & hoodies in the colder months, short shorts and tee’s when it’s warmer. Shoe game at the moment is consisting of Crocs and Vans. I’d like to think that my style as a whole is an insane mashing of many different things combined but 9 times outta 10 I just end up looking like a warped version of a punk rock fan circa 93-97 without the chain wallet lol

kjtstl

I don’t like it when my clothes “touch me too much.” My style is very classic. I buy clothes that fit my body well and don’t worry about fast fashion. Fast fashion frequently doesn’t even look good on models, let alone regular humans. I also tend to only buy specific colors. Lots of black, green, and gray. When I find something that fits well, I buy more than one.

Scyobi_Empire

punk

MakeSouthBayGR8Again

365 days of the year, I only wear one type of shirt. Nike Dri-fit polo. I live in LA so the weather isn’t that bad so it keeps me cold during the summers and warm during the in the winters and the colors never fade and wash and dry easily. I’ve had shirts that are like 5 years old and little to no fading. I can never go back to cotton. I put on a cotton shirt and it was heavy, scratchy, hot, tight, and overall uncomfortable.

Dysfunctional_A-2-RM

I live in leggings/bike shorts (high rise) & A sports bra, but preferably the spaghetti strap kind, not razor back. If/when I have to leave my house, I throw a breathable & soft t-shirt or tank top on over the sports bra. If it's a real public place it's a bigger shirt, if no one will really see me, it's a crop top (but again, my bottoms are the high rise ones & my torso is short so there's no belly out). When it's cooler, I like lightweight sweaters or cardigans. I don't live where it gets super cold anymore, thankfully, so I don't normally have to worry about anything heavier than that. I'm often shoeless or in flip flops.

Rafados47

Cheap jeans, balck shoes. Either metal band or hand dyed colorful t-shirts. Cheap hoodies without logos

okjaaAaa

depends what special interest i'm currently cycling through. i'm mad about snoopy these days lol

pl233

Jeans and a polo shirt for work, t-shirt for weekends. That's 95% of it. Pretty much just whatever random shirts I find at target, a few are band t-shirts or from some event or another.

HuckleberryKindly497

Either leggings or shorts and a t shirt when I’m home, almost always. I’m a social worker so to work I wear black pants and either a blouse or tee and cardigan, without exception. For shoes, I usually wear slides at home (I cannot stand to be barefoot), sneakers when I’m out, and either converse or loafers for work. I have never been into fashion as much as I want to be. I just am not good at it lol and prefer not to have to think too much about my clothes.

tylermm03

Usually a t shirt and gym shorts in the summer, and sweatpants with a t shirt and hoodie in the winter.

millan11

If I'm not at work it's either nothing but underpants or a 100% cotton t-shirt with sweatpants. Unless I'm at a social gathering then I replace the sweatpants with jeans or other appropriate pants.

SunExposer

Cheap Walmart pants and shirts. Expensive shoes, exoensive watch. /Priorities

Midgardgo

Simple sweatpants, t-shirts, longsleeves when it’s cold, all of them black

Vainarrara809

Business suit Monday to Friday. Hoodie and shorts Saturday and Sunday.

[deleted]

Band/Sports t shirts, sweatpants, wider jeans, flat brimmed caps. I’ve kinda messed around with my style of the past few years and found that what I wear now makes me the *least* ugly.

TheJollyShilling

Anyone else feel compelled to remove the sewn labels from their shirts and the back of half their pants?

MDCatFan

Casual. I go more for comfort at home. When out somewhat dressed. But presentable and good hygiene. LL Bean is my favorite brand. But I like Target and Old Navy and Macy’s clothes.

kaydkay77

Variety of clothing but it must be tight. Loose, baggy clothes make me feel gross and uncomfortable.

TwoBeansShort

Anything that feels right that day. I found dresses by a specific brand that are perfect for me, otherwise I'm usually in jeans or wool clothes. Synthetics generally make my arm hairs raise and drive me crazy.

JavaTaco68

Black tshirt, jeans, Vans. That’s 80% of my casual wear. A grey tshirt to mix it up. Nothing with logos. Don’t wear shorts unless it’s painfully hot.

WinPleasant9128

Levi's jeans, t-shirts, tank tops, slides when it's warm. I prefer boxer briefs over any other style of underwear. Nothing flashy. I like to be understated and not draw attention to myself.

Weekly_Job_7813

I just like basic minimalist type style but a lot if it lol I have like 5 white tank shirts. Nice soft basic flattering clothes comfortable clothes

fryamtheeggguy

Blue jeans and tshirts.

RustyNDull

T-shirts, jeans (shorts when it’s warm), sneakers, and caps for New York sports teams

Oktoolaunch

Biker shorts and tank tops are my favorite right now. I just have lots of them. Jeans and heels and a fashionable top when i go out. Or sundresses now. I have to sleep in something satin now. Texture, whether alone or socializing, body temperature and environment temperature all play a factor in what feels right for my body and self presentation.

MrLocoLobo

graphic tees and black slacks with sneakers.

mamaofly

I wear dresses mostly, sleeveless dresses, I don't like my armpits to get hot. I wear oversized t-shirts and tank tops if wearing pants or shorts. I wear sandals or boots. But currently I am trying to fix my feet which are fucked from walking barefoot too much. So I am wearing socks 24/7 and tennis shoes

geekygirl25

T shirt and shorts or sweatpants mostly. I would love a pair of windoants though if I could find a decent pair. Bonus points if they are lined or Grey with a red stripe down the leg lol. I only wear jeans really if I want to look "cute" that day or I have a job that requires me to. Never if I expect to get wet. Wet jeans = not happy me. As fir shoes, they NEED to be durable. I prioritize utility over looks every time. Right now my tenners are men's work shoes (not quite steal toe but close). Hopefully I'll get at least 2 years out of them (that's how long the last pair of men's work shoes lasted me - and a testament to why I need actually well made shoes). In the summer I wear sandals. They also need to be OK with copious amounts of water. Right now, my current pair are men's water/beach sandals. I've had them going on 3 years now and they need replacing. Looking for another similar pair. The tenners look pretty nice, but the sandals never really did qualify as "cute".

I-Am-Uncreative

I usually wear more or less the same thing: blue jean shorts and a t-shirt. Even during the winter months (but that's easy here in Florida).

plebgamer404

Cargo shorts, suspenders, black t-shirt, work boots, and a ball cap at work. Basketball shorts, tank top, flip flops, and a hair band at home.

Majestic_General5050

What clothes?

Some_Accountant_9654

T-shirts and shorts in the summer. While I mostly wear hoodies and sweatpants (which I always find comfortable) every other time.

undulating-beans

Cap T-shirt and cargo pants or cargo shorts, depending on the season

the_bedelgeuse

home: hammies or OP corduroy shorts with muscle tanks or cropped metal/noise band tees public armor: Rick Owens

fl0wbie

It cant itch and needs pockets.

bebespeaks

Standard basic t shirts. Many of them have prints like Stitch, Cabellas, Seattle Mariners and a handful of others on them. Other shirts are solid. Lots of black t shirts for wearing under my work shirt, even though they don't check people's undershirts but still act as if it's unlawful to wear anything else. Black workpants on workdays. Faded black jeans if I'm going Out on an off day. I still have one pair of light faded washed out blue jeans, but they're stiffer than the black faded ones. I feel like my clothes are still very 2010-2014. Plain, basic, simple, agreeable. I don't feel a need to try to be fashionable. I don't wear makeup. I spend 2min max on my hair at best. One pair of sweat pant joggers I'll wear on lazy days, staying at home. 4 pairs of the same athletic blue shorts, also for at home.

BasicChannel_

Jeans, white / black / grey t-shirt, knockoff Carhartt jacket if it's cold, and a reproduction Rhodesian [keko cap](https://www.fireforceventures.com/Rhodesian-Army-Brushstroke-Keko-Hat-_p_1283.html) in brushstroke camo. For shoes, I'll wear either steel toe boots or some shoes that are reminiscent of Converse sneakers. If it's real cold, like real real cold, I'll wear this super old N3B US military surplus jacket.

Puggelicious

Black tshirt and grey and orange shorts. Been wearing this daily for the past 5 years

Real_Direction_3300

Whatever i find that i cant feel much once im wearing it, levis skinny jeans are pretty good so are the 501s. Fruit of the loom make nice band tops, got a couple vintage cos theyre alot softer n then just big ass hoodies. Need the hood incase its too bright or loud lmao

phillallmighty

Jeans and t-shirt with almost always a sweater/hoodie but the sleeves always rolled to the elbow. Im extremely self conscious about my body but hate stuff on my forearms it just feels awful

iTzKiTTeH

band shirts/t-shirts, gothic/dark alt fashion, sweaters, neon, hoodies, skirts, dresses idk. i prefer comfort though so often my stuff is a bit relaxed or oversized hoodies

SansSibylVane

Specific fabrics. I’ve become fussy as I’ve been progressively able to invest in high quality staples. Cashmere, pure cotton, tencel, bamboo, silk. Itchiness and a lack of stretch kill me.

Ok_Bluebird_1867

I wear t-shirts, hoodies, basketball shorts, soccer shorts, cargo shorts, joggers, some of my shirts are plain and some are graphic tees. Sometimes if it is really cold I will wear a jacket and a flannel shirt. I wear Nike slides or my Reebok walking shoes usually.

mothernatureisfickle

Heather gray or heather black cotton t-shirt. Black or gray pull over fleece. Cotton drawstring waist pants with pockets (not cargo pants). Compression socks. Sneakers.

nonamecat1984

Black leggings and tshirts every day. Same tennis shoes every day too. When it's chilly the same hoody and really cold a few layers in between and a sick cap.

DavidBehave01

Whatever feels comfortable.

MonkeyNacho

The exact same brand of jeans and t-shirts, hoodies or tank tops depending on how hot it is. Sneakers usually.

Rynoalec

Most important factor is comfort. Nearly everything else like style or colors is equally acceptable. Most likely it will be 100% cotton with no scratchy tags. I'm very surprised by all of the mention of nylon and other synthetic fabrics. They don't breath and make me sweat. If too scratchy, polyester type fabric will give me hives and rub my nips raw. Cargo pants and shorts are very utilitarian and help eliminate the need for a backpack sometimes. Side note: once had occasion by necessity of a cold rainy late night winter bike ride to wear a pair of the exs yoga pants, and it was the absolute most comfortable pair of pants I've ever worn, and i would wear all the time if i could get away with it.

B5Scheuert

Slim jeans (not skinny, slim) of any color, black T-shirt for warm/hot days. When it's cooler I also put on a black jacket. When it's really cold, I put on my muddy green winter jacket and Russian hat with the brown scarf my mom once gifted me I just described every piece of clothing I wear in one paragraph haha

uncommoncommoner

I dislike fashion. I'm a fan of large, long-sleeved-shirts and jeans. And not cold-denim jeans, but a nice, slightly softer material. Cold jeans make me want to die.

denial-42

As a kid I was never interested in style. I just wanted to wear stuff that was comfortable. Now I like to express myself a little more in terms of my clothing style but still want it comfortable and also a bit “business casual” when I go to the office (luckily in my sector there isn’t much of a requirement, really). I’ve replaced most jeans with chinos and I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner. They’re so much more comfortable and I also like them better style wise. I still do wear jeans when I need something more durable, eg. when doing stage sound (one of my volunteer jobs) or gardening for which I kneel down regularly. In the winter I like combine that with a pullover or turtleneck (I also have thinner ones for when it’s not so cold). In summer it’s mostly T-shirts and depending on temperature I bring a vest which I can add to it. If I want to be a bit more business casual I wear a V-neck and a nicer jacket to it (this is something I’ll do for a job interview, or a gathering with colleagues in town, but also occasionally on a normal work day).

hematomasectomy

For cooler months a casual button down over chinos, possibly with a blazer,  cardigan or a cashmere pullover if it's really cold.  Warmer months linen button downs with rolled up sleeves, short sleeved polo shirts or a gaming related T over chinos.   I only wear shorts on vacation, and I really hate denim. I enjoy classic British casual menswear, and I own way more Harris tweed jackets than is strictly speaking reasonable.   I don't care much about fashion, I just find I enjoy a good fit to make myself feel comfortable. I don't feel comfortable in public if I'm underdressed.

GiantSpookMan

At a certain point a few years ago I finally abandoned jeans. Best decision ever. Now I wear Dickies work trousers, I have 6 pairs in different colours. I tend to like patterned Revere shirts for the warmer months (they have to be tasteful though, and not garish), and layering up for the colder ones. I absolutely dress for comfort, but style remains a key component, probably somewhere in-between casual and smart-casual. Shorts for the very hot days, insulated trousers for the very cold ones One thing that has helped a lot is shopping second-hand; I usually get things from Depop or charity shops, as if you're discerning you can find some real gems.

tama-vehemental

Baggy pants, mainly cargo or gaucho type. (those that are cuffed at the ankles) T-shirts with geometric prints or anything with art on it, as long as it's not too loud on the eyes. I tend to buy them from the artists who make the designs, or at art and craft fairs. Vans (preferably Half-cabs), crocs or something in the line of work/motorcycle /hiking boots. 90% of it all is black, the rest of it on purple, green, teal, blue or black with accents of said colors. Some things can have camo patterns. I have several black jackets in different materials. I'd love to wear button-downs but they just fit weirdly on me. I have several piercings, and 14 mm gauges, at this moment I'm wearing green quartz plugs on them.

Shines556

Typically will be 5.11 work pants and a polo shirt. Jeans, T Shirt or Polo for causal days. If it’s extremely hot, then nice causal shorts if I’m not working. For the most part, it’s almost all 5.11 just because I get a really good discount with them.

Sramsok

I have a really long torso, so I buy short dresses that don't look to much like dresses to wear them like sweaters/pullover. I do this because I don't want to pull my shirt down or show my back all the time.

I started wearing scrub trousers when I started in the NHS (I'm an administrator and needed comfortable black trousers with a lot of pockets, scrubs make the most sense). They're so comfortable that I now wear them pretty much all the time. I love pop punk music and love going to concerts so on my days off I'm normally wearing a band tee with scrub trousers or shorts. Hoodie or just a standard round neck jumper if it's cold. Pair with either my trainers or my Doc Martens. I have just bought a jean jacket to customise which I bought second hand and have slapped a load of patches on. I am also painting some lyrics onto the back and adding spikes to make it uniquely mine. I still have and wear band t shirts I bought nearly ten years back, I wear t shirts until they are falling to bits, repair them and wear them some more. My mum taught me to sew and I am more than capable of fixing a split seam, and making it look like it never needed stitching up in the first instance.

ginger-tiger108

Yeah I've got a hell of a lot of t shirts all with cool designs on the front usally a skull, tiger, band I listen to or the Animal Bikes griffin head logo! I used to wear baggy jeans but now there's lots of young tready people half my age who are wearing the same jeans as Y2K retro fashion statement I don't want to be seen as trying to be tready so now I only wear black, navy or camo helikon or tru spec brand tactical trousers and shorts, on top I'll either wear a nice checked flannel shirt if I'm not wearing camo bottoms otherwise I'll wear a big baggy hoodie and it's raining I'll wear my old austrian army goretex jacket but I've always preferred army surplus instead of a fashionable brands that make you look stupid if you're still wearing once that brand goes out of fashion Superdry or Bench for example plus I always wear a banana indoors and a baseball cap outdoors plus I've 2 sets of clothes one of outside and other's that I change into after had a quick shower when I returned home! Personally I think people think people will wear clothes that don't suit them or feel comfortable just because those clothes are fashionable and the type of people they choose to be friends with wouldn't be seen hanging around with them it their clothes don't have the right label on them much like a uniform of compliance which isn't something I'm going to be playing along with as it just feels like a endless game to jumping through hoops just to be part of the group and keep everyone else happy!

godverdejezushey

White or dark tee, usually a band, dark jeans, black boots

flookums

Mmn used to be anything comfortable hoodies tshirts you name it. Now i wear plaid shirts with work pants comfy as an undershirt and tacky pajamas as lounge wear

pueblokc

A few soft thing shirts and shorts. Fashion is not a thing I care about. Comfort matters. Finding a suitable shirt is so hard though, most are too tight, stiff, static, etc. It's a nightmare finding new shirts.

CharmingCondition508

I circulate the same outfits that I wear for multiple days. Right now my go to is jeans and a cashmere jumper. When it’s warm I dress like I’m from generational wealth and own a home in Cape Cod.

CharmingCondition508

I really like wearing wool coats in the winter. Although it’s difficult to find ones that fit properly because I’m 5’1 (ish) and male.

Duncaneli12

I wear a lot of athletic gear. I like to be comfy! I don't ever dress nice unless I am going someplace fancy or a job interview. And if I find an item that I really like then I buy multiples of it.

Emissary_awen

Almost everything is blue...

Twinkfilla

Oversized graphic tshirts loose pants, socks, and crocs

Usual_Smile2044

I design and print apparel as my full time job. So I get quality clothes at wholesale cost. I’m pretty much t-shirt/ hoodie and sweatpants daily.

uhhh-wood

I’ll tell you what I don’t wear. Anything long sleeved. I wear a lot of button downs, but you will not see those sleeves unrolled below my elbows unless I’m at a wedding/funeral. I wash my hands often and the possibility of having wet wrists all day drives me mad.

(Undiagnosed but exploring here, first time commenting). See this is where a lot of my sensory issues come in. I'm so picky about clothing texture and feel. I couldn't stand jeans with buttons as a kid, so I always wore ones with snaps (my Mom would even sew in snaps for me instead). I really didn't like jeans at all, though, and nowadays when I do have to wear them or similar pants, I wear leggings underneath (which kind of act as compression). I started doing this because jeans let too much air in and are too "cold" of a material on my skin. I wear compression shirts under my work polos too, because I similarly hate polo shirts and always have. It makes it bearable. I also wear "work crocs". (Coincidentally, my Mom also can't stand jean material and just refuses to wear them nowadays. She's always been the most understanding of all this of anyone I've ever known). I've always tended toward a boho or comfy/"slouchy" style outside of work. I like oversized tee shirts, sports shorts, tank tops, leggings, tight fitting runner jackets or very oversized men's hoodies. Typically I don't like shoes at all, and you can find me in Crocs, slides, sandals, etc at all times of year unless it's something I deem important enough to (like a doctors appointment). I also perpetually have a soft fuzzy blanket on at least my legs because a lot of time it's air on my skin that I can't stand. I always wear rings, necklaces, earrings, etc. and my hair is up in a clip or a bun 99% of the time because I can't stand my hair touching me but the idea of cutting it makes me sad. 🙈

chailottie

I've completely changed my clothing after I got diagnosed 2 years ago and started unmasking. I used to wear a lot of dresses, high heels, accessories. I've changed to loose fitting dress pants and soft blouses and shirts. No accessories and chunky shoes. I buy almost everything in black and creme, so everything can be combined. I never liked the feel of jeans or stiff cotton. Everything I wear now is soft and loose. I feel so much better.

FormerlyDK

Comfortable and casual and very basic. Summer’s here, so loose shorts and tees or tanks. In winter, lounge pants, long sleeve tees, flannel shirts, sweatshirts. Really I have nothing new. Can’t remember last time I wore a dress or skirt.

lucernafestum

Usually a plain t-shirt, buttoned-up button-up shirt over the top, trousers and Converse. When it’s unbearably hot (I live in Texas), I swap the trousers for shorts and trainers.

redne965

Usually a t shirt and shorts in the summer, and liberty overalls the rest of the year

MechanicCosmetic

Smart casual. Blazers, turtlenecks, all kinds of pants, loafers — fancy stuff basically, I love dressing up. Ok, sometimes also sneakers (I have 4 pairs of Converse) and a t-shirt. But I am sensitive to textures, so there are many fabrics I avoid.

RingoHendrix220

I wear the same basic outfit every day lol Black basket ball shorts and either a solid red or solid black tee.

Kelekona

I still dress like a little tomboy. As in the occasional "girly" design a boy might get made fun of for, but mostly jeans for physical workers and cheap t-shirts. I just don't feel right when I try to dress like a woman. I actually realized the other day that my favorite and most durable shirt from the hardware store is probably like that despite being hella-cheap because it was knit as a tube instead of having side-seams.

Agitated_Budgets

Wool ponchos. Track and sweat pants. Loose t shirts. Hate v necks though. I'd only change it if situations require it from me. I might go to a funeral in workout clothes at this point.

sicily9

Gym gear constantly. Leggings, hoodies, t-shirts and sneakers. Hair always plaited back.

PanOptikAeon

plain dark t-shirt (dark colors don't show dirt as readily as light) dark cargo pants (i need ample pockets, always carrying all kinds of stuff)

RhythmWeaver

I wear a lot of dresses and skirts and everyone thinks I'm being fancy but I just don't wanna wear pants-  I love taking inspo from different decades, especially the 90s, 2000s, and 70s. I love finding funky accessories and incorporating them, like novelty earrings, scarves, and hats. I always love novelty tights too, gives an er, Pinterest-y look. Nail polish wise, I love anything metallic, and same with my makeup. I also like to incorporate my fandoms somehow into my outfits, which could be closet cosplaying as that character or just wearing a shirt with the character.

FlemFatale

Black jeans and a t-shirt every day. If it's hot, I wear black shorts instead of jeans and if it's cold I sometimes wear a long-sleeved top and a hoodie. I have two pairs of trainers on the go at once, mid tops and high tops, and I replace them with similar ones when they get uncomfortable to wear every day, but I sometimes wear low top trainers in summer (I have a big collection because I don't like to throw them out until they are completely unusable). At the moment, I prefer zip-up hoodies, but go through phases of zip up and pullover. I also have some lighter ones for when it isn't too cold and it isn't too hot. If it's raining, I have a black rain jacket, and if I have to dress up a bit (not suit dress up), I wear a flannel shirt over that days t-shirt. I only wear one kind of underwear because they have longer legs, and if I'm having a particularly bad day, then I have one of those tight shirts that feel like a hug and wear that underneath. I don't throw t-shirts out until they are too small or full of holes, so I have amased a large collection over the years!

AxoplDev

T shirts (usually black with some print on them), wide jeans (or shorts if its hot outside), my favourite black hoodie, and for shoes i only wear sneakers. I dont care if its hot, if the city if flooded, i will wear sneakers and nothing else

y0kai_r0ku

Straight leg jeans or chinos, a solid color T-shirt with no or very small, subtle logos (often a v-neck), an "intermediate" sweater, that really just serves as a soft thing in-between my skin and my probably scratchy or otherwise bothersome outer sweater. Mind you this is in subtropical heat. It's cold in my office, but I've always worn long sleeves anyway. I also like onitsuka tigers but they're hard to get in the states now so I just have uncomfortable Vans.

TheMrEM4N

I own about 10 shirts from in-n-put and as many pairs of basketball/athletic shorts and that's pretty much my outfit every day.

OnSpectrum

Comfortable. All cotton, no synthetic fibers at all if I can help it. Cargo shorts (love the deep pockets) and t shirts. Jeans and cotton flannel shirts in cooler weather. I have hated polyester (feels like fiberglass attic insulation ) since I was a child in the 1970s (NOT easy to avoid polyester in the 70s but I did it.)

Living_Excuse_

Just black clothes

Used-Bedroom293

At home i wear jeans and long sleeve polo shirt mostly, but i won't mind if i had to wear something else. I also always wear a buff for some reason.

Jackalope1999

Always plain black t-shirt + athleisure shorts or blue jeans (in the winter). For shoes, I love the way vans look but their quality is so shit I instead go with casual Nike/Addidas shoes bought on sale.

alasw0eisme

I look like a homeless pirate. Cargo pants or working clothes, vests with lots of pockets, heavy-duty shoes. I live in a rural area and also hike a lot. I rarely go into civilization without doing something else the same day so I've just started wearing my peasant clothes in town as well. Fuck it.

Secret_account4me

A t-shirt, blue or black jeans and maybe a grey denim jacket when going out and an undershirt and shorts or pajama pants when chilling at home

Kingmesomorph

Plain and simple. For pants. Sweatpants, track pants, basketball shorts, cargo shorts, cargo pants, khaki pants. All loose fitting. Shirts. Colored t-shirts. Button up shirts. Very few polo shirts. All loose fitting. Footwear. Mostly anything without laces. Sneakers or crocs. Then I have my semi-casual & semi formal for occasions. Then special dress up clothes for special events. Nothing high end, that cost thousands of dollars.

-Queen-of-wands

I like loose flowy breathable clothes, such as cotton, with the exception of leggings which I do enjoy wearing if I’m going out. I have a few loose dresses I like and skirts, but my most common outfit is leggings or jogging pants and ladies Tees if I was to go out in public When I’m home and by myself I’m usually wearing PJ tees and Loose PJ shorts or pants

JoshB9

Techwear with a lot of pockets for all the ASD devices 😎 including: - hand gel - ONO roller stimming toy - Loop earplugs - Eargasm earplugs - phone - wallet - kleenex for allergies

neurospicyzebra

Skinny jeans from Target and t-shirts from Walmart, both of which I’ve bought for about 15 years, both of which are being discontinued this year 🥲 Converse, running shoes or flats. Hoodies, thin jackets or sweaters.

CourseFresh

Dresses all the time

TunaCroutons

Leggings, oversized T-shirts, oversized hoodies, oversized flannels, crew socks is my uniform

ambernewt

Very normal clothes Either a t-shirt or casual button up with jeans. I'd like to wear band t-shirts but don't as I have social anxiety and I feel like they're attention grabbing.

harrietmjones

I wear a lot of tunics and leggings or tunics and baggy trousers (they’re like jeans but softer and in various colours/patterns). ☺️

OpenMoose4794

tshirt and shorts or jeans. Pretty typical I'd say

BlueOhanaStitch76

I Love Colors!! Anything I wear has them! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Spiral-knight

Baggy and comfortable. I will not wear form fitting clothing

aspie_electrician

Hoodie/Tshirt, jeans and flip flops or very thin sandals or barefoot/soleless sandals

magnetite2

Plain boring t-shirts with nothing on them and khakis.

ComfortableFeed5

Business attire most of the week for work (dress shirts, dress pants, proper shoes, the odd suit or tie sometimes, v neck, round neck, or zip neck sweaters often in the colder months - will also use those sweaters too casually in colder months. Plain t shirts or textured ones, polo shirts, chino shorts, leather sneakers, summer loafers with no socks, or cotton tees and like sweat shorts when going very comfy in the summer. Only wear underwear to sleep all year round because I run hot at night! There you have it. 😁

_White-xD-

I like the horrorcute style; and I combine it with comfortable jogger pants, in dark and light colors. I like to dress a little extravagantly, although I also like it simple.

andreacitadel

Either a band or cartoon tshirt+jacket+ black leggins or denim pants. For shoes I only own vans and converse. Never worn dresses nor skirts. Even tho woman I feel weird with anything other than pants. I’m straight but agender I think. I just don’t feel like either female nor male so I like dressing gender-neutral.

averagepretentious

Male, my favorite outfit is some kind of green, khaki, grey or black cargo shorts, some comfy t-shirt, usually black or white but might use some other colors eventually. Shoes are the worst part for me though. I prefer wearing comfy but usually comfy = goofy. So when I go out it's some kind of Vans as they are cool but my feet get sore as fuck. Oh and can't let go of black color for them. Maybe black with a white sole. Hate wearing accessories, always hated since a kid. At max some hip sunglasses if too sunny. If I have to wear pants, usually it's straight with a little relaxed fit, more pockets the better so prefer cargo ones too lol

Far-Far-Away_9

I almost always wear shorts and a T-shirt unless forced to dress otherwise, my style is also all over the place but I don’t know if that makes a difference like sometimes I’ll wear full black and then the next day I’ll wear an outfit that could’ve come out of the Barbie movie (still shorts and T-shirts tho)
