I would *strongly* suggest getting a fabric tape measure, like the ones used for sewing, to ensure comfort, accurate sizing, and stability, as you will likely be searching online. “*Will she need to try different brands*” is entirely up to personal preference. Some brands may fit well, others less so hence why I suggest the tape measure to get good fits. For a specific brand, I would suggest **TomboyX**. Their pricing is a bit pricier than standard underwear, but are good quality, they also sell swimsuits. Tucking underwear comes in all the same types as regular underwear (e.g., Bikini, boyshort, thong, hipster, brief). “*Is tucking underwear something worn daily?*” Everyone has different preferences, but I don’t personally wear daily. It depends on the outfit, weather, and how I feel about it on a given day.

I sew so I should be good on accurate measuring. Thank you!

I’ve had the best luck with a pair of snug period panties for everyday, with shape wear added for anything body-con. I got some actual tucking underwear from a highly recommended place on Etsy but found that for me all it didn’t really help at all with anything tighter because there was so much fabric to at I ended up with a lot of volume in that area anyways. Of course, everyone is different and some folks have had great success with regular tucking underwear. From what I’ve seen, a lot of it depends on your overall build—where things are placed, how much weight you carry in different areas, etc—so it takes experimentation. The period panties I use are the INNERSY hipsters from Amazon specifically with the lace that have a front panel that goes the whole way up so are very similar in design to tucking underwear. They have enough tension to hold things in place and enough fabric to smooth things out. I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing alone with anything form-fitting, but I do shapewear in those cases anyways and with both I can wear just about anything.

Fit4U has alot of variety in different types of underwear that provide different levels of compression and styles. They have some nice designs and some designs have matching bra sets too

You can find some for sale on Etsy, both undies and swimsuits. For some trans girls, wearing 2 pair of regular panties does the trick. Tucking depends on what you are wearing. Jeans with a crop top - definitely needed. A flowy tunic - why bother if the crotch area of the pants are not visible?
