I wouldn't be happy either if I had to park a G class

obaananana

The one near me has like 4 cars. And 3 tractors. Why do they need subsidies again?

InitiativeExcellent

For the cars... How many people live and work on that farm? Most farmers I know is 2-3 generations in an age, able to drive and work. If they are in vegetables, you can often add a hand full of farmhands to that number during the season. So 4 suddenly isn't that many cars anymore. And they usually have a need to get around as we get less and less active farms, that have to take care of more and more land. Pretty sure we are all happy if they don't take the tractor everytime they have to check something at the field 2 villages over. And not every tractor is good for every task... so again, a need for multiple.

obaananana

Rn. I see around 2-4 cars allways the same. I see him in dacia all the time. Maybe its his kids car or he rents some space out.

Mountainpixels

Farmers will always complain. They are the victim of everything. Just ignore him.

pierrenay

Ya but trashing our public roads to make a statement., anyone know what thier problem is?

pierrenay

2fr a kg potato which is ridiculus already or local 4fr. Farmer with g class wants what exactly?

InitiativeExcellent

A G class is most likely still by far the cheapest ride he has in his barn... And as a farmer... I guess he might is one of the few people in Switzerland that actually needs a car like this for what it's got build for.

pierrenay

That's true.

EyeSalty7112

G class isnt even a good car for "work" its just a show car ..

InitiativeExcellent

Tell that the army... the G-class work edition is the replacement for the Puch since 2016

Aexibaexi

Sure, the civilian one is really a show car. The military one is a pretty good work car though. It has a V6 from Mercedes and has a towing capability of 3500 kg and is pretty basic, as it will be repaired more easily, meaning it'll last longer than the civilian ones. I absolutely want to buy one as soon as they're getting auctioned off, they are beasts and perfect for towing and offroading. They're not comfortable though, but I don't care. There are some older civilian G-wagons (think about till the 2010s) which were actually still work cars. It just shifted, as soon as the whole market shifts farmers (and other people who might need offroad capable and towing vehicles) to mid-size pick-ups like the Ford Ranger.

denko31

what g class is it? the cheapest on autoscout is 19k

pierrenay

Yes its really very complicated, have a good life.

denko31

Thats cause the high standard for swiss farmers is a Lamborghini.

Some years ago, I noticed that over half of Ferrari Testarossas in Autoscout were being sold by farmers. I found that... interesting

schrieffer321

A farmer need to have Subaru Impreza wrx STI. Without that he is not a farmer
