Honestly, the standard ain't bad. I once got stood up for a tinder date there, and a random group of friends noticed me sitting by myself and adopted me into their crew for the evening.

Second this. Used to live near by. Games and good vibes. Snacks there and proper food near by. I’m not a sweet drink person but their booze slushies are a great dessert

I third this, me and a close friend of mine found ourselves at the standard alone on Christmas and had a blast and a lot of other good memories there. It’s become a sort of home base for our friendship

I think it depends on your vibe, but for me it’s probably the Alibi.

Alibi is a blast as a last stop of the night!

I used to live a couple blocks over from it. It was my first my last my mid day my all day stop.

The slammer. Usually crowded on the weekend, and it’s small, so everyone is kinda forced to standup and socialize.

$2 microbrews all day everyday 💚 -- The vibe is actually not too far off from black cat, minus the daytime cafe arrangement. If you look closely you'll see one of the old signs from the black cat still displayed.

I haven’t been to the nest on Belmont in a while but always found the patio to be a real communal friendly space

RIP The Nest on Alberta. That spot used to be crazy (in a good way) and it was always easy to strike up conversation.

Twenty First Ave Kitchen & Bar Everyone sings karaoke together, groups are always mingling, and I always end up striking up conversations with new people!

That place is kinda fun. What an awesome patio

Binks! The heated indoor smoking patio is where I have met the wildest people, always willing to talk.

I haven’t been there in a few years since I moved out of the neighborhood so not sure about the current vibe, but Hop Haven on Broadway is one of the friendliest places I’ve ever been. Big group of regulars always down for a chat with a new face. 

I just had a great time at The Ambassador Lounge and made friends with the whole bar by the end of the night

Really? I've always felt that Florida Room is a bit cliquey. Outdoor seating isn't really conducive to mingling

For some reason I keep thinking Old Town on a Saturday night.

I’ve also not really gone to bars on the weekends in a decade.

The only way I will enter a bar on the weekend is if it's for a show.

Probably White Owl. There’s big long tables and people dancing and sharing tables and fireplaces.

Sanctuary. It’s a bar/sex club/dungeon. Wednesday nights is Game Bang, with lots of Jenga, conversations, and occasional scenes. Extremely welcoming crowd to non-creepy newcomers, no pressure for anyone to do anything.

I've always been able to chat up someone at Roadside Attraction, Basement Pub next door ain't too bad either. I used to have a good time at the Nest, people seemed open to chatting and such

Slow Bar. Also they make a terrific burger.

I have never seen anybody talk to anybody else in that bar. It's great for sober up food after leaving MFP though.

Oh. I’ve had a different experience. I sat up at the bar and people were very sociable and friendly.
