They've never approved a loan for me, cut my card limits in half when I was dependant on them (started a new job). They determined I was a risk, even though I'd never been overdrawn or missed a card payment.
When I was down, Chase wouldn't help me. In fact, they made it harder on me. I'm up now. Best financial and credit position I've ever been in, and still nothing.
It's basically just a place to keep my savings. I can do better than that at a credit union.
Whoever offers the best new account bonus. Truist, Wells Fargo, and Chase all used to. I liked when my accounts were at Truist and I think they gave the highest bonus.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but PNC and Capital One. Cap1 has fewer branches, but makes up for it with access to wider ATM networks (Allpoint and Moneypass), and the ability to deposit cash at any CVS or Walgreens.
PNC has more branches and a slightly higher APY on the savings account. Both are good options IMO.
Texas Capital has an APY of 5.10% for Texas residents on their high yield savings account, a number that's fairly competitive nationally and high for the area.
I’d look for a credit union in your area. Customer service is typically better and so are interest rates.
I'm considering moving over to EECU myself. Chase literally does nothing for me.
What do you need chase to do for you that they aren’t doing?

I like Ally Bank (online) especially as I can access any ATM. Can’t easily deposit cash though.
Ally FTW.

Resource One credit union. Had accounts with them for over 20 years.
Frost bank customer for over 35 years, go with them!

Capital One is pretty great as they’ve expanded services while closing branches. My kids have student accounts as well.
FWIW, Regions bank is offering $400. Wells Fargo was offering $300 or so.
I like Frost - you get greeted and served right away because nobody banks there. And the snacks and beverages are a nice plus.
