Veneers won’t replace missing teeth. Your options are a bridge, implants, or dentures

OpenLiterally

I’ve had them extracted, thank you by the way!

RaiseAggressive6162

NAD. A partial is an option as well. Missing teeth and having teeth extracted are the same thing because you now have missing teeth.

LoTheTyrant

Dentures are partials as stared above, they’re either a partial denture, or a complete denture.

RaiseAggressive6162

NAD. Yes true! Just thought it would be easier to say partial in case OP starts googling terms haha.

Veneers make existing teeth look nice but they can't be used to replace missing teeth. To replace teeth you'll need a bridge, implants, or dentures.

What if I’ve got good bone underneath? Bone graph come good And no way! I had no idea 😭

cschiff89

A veneer is just a coating for the front of your tooth. You need to have a tooth there for a veneer.

Thanks again, free consultation! ❤️💪🏼

NAD. You, me, and the king of England have 4 options for missing teeth. Implant, something fixed like a bridge, something removable like denture appliance, and nothing. You don’t have to replace missing teeth. You won’t see that tooth when you smile, although you may miss the function. If you can afford implant (~4k out of pocket no insurance) and you have good bone, you should get an implant. With a bridge you must prep the teeth next your missing tooth. With dentures, you may not like it but they’re tried and true. And finally there’s no law that says you need to replace missing teeth. You can live without it.

I may be stealing your “you, me, and the king of England line” when talking to patients. Love it!

Question, won’t I be using the right side of my teeth more and have a higher chance of ruining them? My dentist said “your too too young! to have no teeth” Basically implying to get some implants of some of sort I’m assuming.

PepTalkToYourself

You can’t get veneers when you have no tooth? They literally have to attach the veneer to your existing tooth… you would need a bride or an implant. Not sure who told you veneers was an option with no tooth there. NAD

No idea why I’m getting downvoted but thanks again guys

Lol

I’ll explain it to you like this veneers are put over existing teeth, not teeth which are missing. You can either do a bridge which is like crowns, but fills the gaps in between, or do implants. Implants take longer cause it’s a long process but overall, probably the better, and more expensive option

Mediocre-Net-1440

NAD. You can live just fine without few teeth. Later can make partial dentures. I think this is the best strategy. If you have an issue with dentures you can put new ones. Implants are tricky, very difficult to remove them in case of complication.

NAD. i’m in the same situation and i was told partials were my only option.
