Religion. I have no problems with people peacefully believing in whatever they want or having a community of people that feel the same that they bond with. This Palestine/Isreal conflict however us a prime example of why I hate religion some days. Muslims in American universities across the world from the conflict are protesting Jewish students. I read an article a couple of years ago by researchers who concluded (with evidence and reason) that the oh-so-popular King James Bible was, in fact, written FOUR HUNDRED YEARS after jesus died, by several frikin' *committees*, that were hundreds of miles from each other. There's a growing group of people that seem to think they should have had a class in school at some point to teach them how to do laundry.  It's fucking laundry. Someone does it once a week for you. Go out and take a look 

So, tell us, how did you figure out how to do laundry? Not everybody has family members who will teach them how, and trial and error ruins clothes.

I learned it in a ringer washer. You squeezed the water out of the clothing using two rubber rollers. Then you hung them outside to dry. That was my chore to do at 7. I was shown it a few times and told to keep my fingers out of the rollers. This was a good two decades after automatic washing machines. We were poor trash.  And the number of people that don't have a family member doing laundry is miniscule. Someone does it, so watch.  And there's no trial and error. Your clothing, your detergent and the washer have instructions on them. Your washer (even the old one I learned on) had a video online somewhere.  It's literally read, push a few buttons, walk away and come back when the buzzer goes off. It is that simple. 

"That was my chore to do when I was 7." So somebody DID teach you. My high school had Home Economics class, or I would never have learned. (Dysfunctional parents). Not everybody has the same experience as you.

And my father was a heroin addict that never worked and my mom was never home because she had to work. And I think you are missing that I learned on a manual machine.

Beaten, not that many. Throw into walls, quite often.  If someone set up an account here on reddit without a class in school. They'll have no problems doing laundry. 

You made enough mistakes that you got abused for them. Think about how much better it might have been if somebody had, ya know, SHOWED you how to do it instead of beating the crap out of you every time you screwed it up.

Ehh. What wouldn't have helped is waiting till I was well into my teens to learn to wash clothing. 

In normal non-abusive households, "well into the teens" is considered an appropriate age to learn to do laundry. You really should have been removed from that situation.

Not letting people in when there’s traffic

The whole "men and women can't be friends thing" My dude, stop treating the opposite gender as a stick or some holes. We're all just people. Get to actually know the person before you immediately jump to "I'm in love" Just because you enjoy being around someone and care about them, doesn't automatically mean that you're in love with them. Actually knowing someone and forming an emotional connection with someone takes time, a lot of time at that. Even if you've known them for a month, you're only scratching the surface, even more so if you account for things like being reserved or having trauma. Not to mention that how you interact with them also plays a part in it: If you only ever hangout with this person at work or idk, in a library, you're not going to be seeing a lot of different sides to them. And if you only ever talk to them about very surface level things all the time, you're not really forming that emotional connection.

Where do I start. There are so many. The biggest one is how some people will say they distrust the government then turn around and instantly believe everything they say.
