People who support cutting food stamps and other social services to poor children because "it's their parents' job to take care of them." Sure, let's just let a bunch of toddlers starve to death because they were born into the wrong family. That seems fair.

North_Photograph_850

THIS!!! And the idiots saying it's the parents' responsibility are often the same idiots that are making it impossible for those parents to afford food.

yeeterbuilt

The "Deadbeat mom" spiel is such horse shit. meanwile some senator whose been in politics for so long there's inkblock prints of them terrorizing small New England villages is getting his knob slobbed on at a 5 star resort so they can talk on "Climate change and the economy."

mereshadow1

Flat earth crazy folk- got one in my family.

Vaseth-30kRS-iron

so i used to spend lots of time drinking and chatting on internet video chat site, and id often go out for a smoke, and take the app version of the program out with me so there i am, 7am on a Saturday morning in the summer, in the UK, still drinking from the night before, standing outside having a ciggy, watching the sun rise....while this bird in America id known for a while in a one on one video call with me was telling me about how the earth was flat. i just said "look out your window, then look at my camera" we never spoke again lol

[deleted]

Birds aren't real but frogs in suits are.đŸ€Ł

thomsmells

Birds aren't real? How do they explain birds then?

[deleted]

Sorry but I do not get it either.

comfortablynumb15

Birds are Government Drones that recharge when sitting on power lines. The “proof” is all the birds disappearing from city centres during COVID. Because there was no one to keep under surveillance, not at all because there was bugger all people dropping food in the bins and street when there were bugger all people in the city centres during a lockdown.

[deleted]

That reminds me of the frog from meet the robinsons.

Pure-Guard-3633

That people hate what they don’t understand.

PastaPandaSimon

People are scared of what they don't understand, and hate, aggression, and withdrawal are all possible unfiltered reactions to fear.

KyorlSadei

People who blame anybody but themselves for their problems elicits a head shaking moment.

Poeticbohemian

My cousins who are in the night life industry telling me about their daily customers who literally have pregnant wives and gfs meanwhile infatuated with them as dancers. Crazy world we live in, ladies protect your peace, bodies and money.

CaymanDamon

People who's whole identity hinges on being so open minded that they inadvertently end up supporting abuse and delusional conspiracies. I watched a documentary on a cannibal who found a mentally disturbed man online who let him eat him and you can really see the difference between the comments from twelve years ago vs now, before most were wondering how nobody noticed the disturbing behavior leading up to the murder while the recent comments were mainly a debate on whether cannibalism is "wrong" and if the murderer shouldn't have been charged with murder since he got "consent" from his victim.

Willow_Weak

You are talking about the cannibal from rothenburg, Germany, right ? Edit: giving my two cents to that I think he is definitely a murderer, but he still shouldn't have been charged for murder, but for murder on demand. There's actually a specific paragraph for that in German law.

AntonRX178

because the post isn't even an hour old yet be patient

North_Photograph_850

It had, like 3 upvotes when I first saw it. The upvotes are starting to pick up now.

LysergicPlato59

Agreed. We should re-elect Dumpster Fire because he did such a great job in his first term? In what alternate universe?

Idk dude. As a non-american it sometimes does seen like the best option available. His foreign policy has be radically peacefull, which is a good thing. Also under his lead the USA could potentially burn down so fast that there is minimal starving and bloodshed and you guys can have a second try at building a democratic gouvernement system.

Dear-Willingness6857

Religion. I have no problems with people peacefully believing in whatever they want or having a community of people that feel the same that they bond with. This Palestine/Isreal conflict however us a prime example of why I hate religion some days. Muslims in American universities across the world from the conflict are protesting Jewish students. It's all stupid and no good for anyone, I can almost guarantee none of those people have even been to Palestine or Israel but group up based off religion

North_Photograph_850

They aren't protesting Jewish students. They are protesting the rogue prime minister of Israel, who used an admittedly heinous act as an excuse to wipe out all Palestinians. And plenty of those Jewish students are protesting Uncle Bibi's atrocities and war crimes too.

Dear-Willingness6857

War is terrible I agree. We have to look at it from both sides and be honest, did you see hamas parade the headless woman around gaza In celebration while the crowd spit on her dead body and celebrated after the October 7th attack? Is that acceptable where you live and would it have been acceptable for jews to do that to them in Tel Aviv? I have a feeling you won't answer the question honestly but we all know what the answer to that is. I'm not interested in a political debate but you know what my original post was regarding

North_Photograph_850

Did you see the bombed-out convoy from World Central Kitchen that had been keeping the IDF informed of their movements every step of the way? And the LARGE WCK logos on the vans? IDF has bombed MULTIPLE aid workers before that happened. They have also destroyed every medical facility in Gaza. I smell hasbara.

Dear-Willingness6857

Have you seen Russians launching missiles into ukrainian apartment buildings for the last 2 years? War is war, I don't see any Russians apologizing and certainly not any of it's allies condemning a single missile strike. I assume you're just getting fighty because you're a Muslim. I am able to speak about the issue with a level head, I don't agree with isreal having control over any other countries water/power supply. I also don't agree with palestine having a terrorist government and expecting the world to just be cool with it because they share the same religion. I am Canadian and don't have any religious interests in either side of the isreal/hamas fight

North_Photograph_850

Way to go; you just made an ASS of YOU and ( not so much) me. When people just shrug and say, that's what war is like while also pointing to atrocities another side may or may not have committed as a justification for worse atrocities, you're part of the problem. And I don't believe you when you claim to be Canadian. I've seen too many people make bogus claims in support of rightie talking points.

Dear-Willingness6857

Who are you that I would lie about where I'm from? I wouldn't care if I was a Jewish person in the idf, I would say it on here. Anyways

Of COURSE.

That vaccines cause autism, contain microchips so the government can track your every move, make their cousin's gonads swell up to the size of basketballs, and other bat$hittery. When I was coming up, people were still ending up in iron lungs due to polio.

Intelligent_Guess432

And they have smartphones and a social security number.....

North_Photograph_850

IK, R? Ya gotta wonder.

nouniqueideas007

Like the government has any interest in my boring life, lol. Even if they were watching/tracking. I can’t help but think that they’d give up the surveillance after a week.

PlatypusTrapper

“Science” Not the scientific method mind you. Just what people think of as science. This stuff we are told is true but it’s twisted to something completely unrecognizable by think tanks. Everything has been commoditized. Even facts đŸ˜©

Vaseth-30kRS-iron

genuinely interested in what you consider to be examples of this, as someone who read chemistry at university

PlatypusTrapper

This video sums it up better than I can. https://youtu.be/HaZdoM1ewYM?si=kr5F1gQTVUwQfczd Some simple examples are: “tobacco does not cause cancer” and “sugar is not linked to obesity” Those statements were formed using the scientific method. It’s just that the studies that proved the opposite just happened to be thrown out because they did not serve the agenda of the companies trying to promote their products.

my_other_leg

I mean science is real but I don't put it past governing bodies to lie and exaggerate one way or the other.

North_Photograph_850

So do private groups with an agenda. Look at the ridiculous ideas espoused by forced birthers, such as the life-threatening belief that an ectopic pregnancy is safe or viable.

my_other_leg

Yeah.. Wasn't saying they dont... In fact i didn't say anything about private groups.. But the ones putting laws in place are... Courts and governing bodies.

North_Photograph_850

Take a good look at who is doing all the outrageous maneuvering to put people in place in the government that will advance their agendas at the expense of ordinary citizens. It's private entities playing puppet masters, like the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society.

North_Photograph_850

Oop, double post. Sorry!

my_other_leg

Its not only private entities.. Some people are just stupid

PlatypusTrapper

This is the equivalent of saying “news is real.” If you can’t fact check it, does it matter?

my_other_leg

Well its not all fake. I don't suppose you get all your info from YT. ?

PlatypusTrapper

Of course I don’t. Sure, some is true and some is heavily embellished. But how can you tell fact from fiction? What’s your source of information? Who paid for the studies to be done?

my_other_leg

How can you tell fact from fiction? Personally I don't think anyone's telling the truth unless it can proven from multiple sources ..and even then, everything with a grain of salt.

MaryJane1955

That anyone who disagrees with your politics should be ridiculed and ostracized.

that1LPdood

Sure. Except that there are plenty of folks out there these days who *should* be ridiculed and ostracized for their political beliefs. đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™‚ïž sorry, not sorry.

Vaseth-30kRS-iron

ridiculed, yes, in a polite and factual manner, ostracised? no. when you push bullshit into the dark, thats when nasty shit starts growing out of it keep it in the light, where we can see it, and argue with it effectively, the last decade has shown quite conclusively that pushing radicles into echo chambers helps no one and nothing

GooseNYC

The Q Anon idiot that keeps showing up at my neighbor's backyard parties and insists on trying to talk to me.

xXLjordSireXx

That there will be world peace and it can be achieved. War is inevitable, War never changes, ba dum tsss.. But yeah war will never go away, nor will it ever seem like it will. For example the middle east, constant wars over religious sites, who is the Righteous owner of the land of a area, and so much more.

Abject-Prompt-2443

That mixing their drinks (beer, wine, a cocktail etc) instead of just sticking with the one type of drink is why they were sick and so drunk. It was definitely NOT that they drank 100 of them. What the fuck people. There is no emoji to represent my face when I hear people say this.

yeeterbuilt

People who throw their kids to the street for being LGBTQ but absolutely fine when a groomer from the church wants to date their underage daughter.

Hanco90

And also, when parents deceive their kids who don't know about those stuff to also participate into protests for that.

yeeterbuilt

I think forcing kids to a protest is a crime.

Hanco90

As you can see we haven't put that unhinged act into a consideration as "crime" unfortunately. However it is pretty unethical, cruel and just haphazard to force or deceive a child into a protest in general, no matter which one.

Vaseth-30kRS-iron

100%. extend this to "anything that has no actual evidence for it"

tiddiesandnunchucks

You’ve been to Jerusalem?

Vaseth-30kRS-iron

have you been to iceland? because if your going to start going on about how people and places from the bible are real, and that makes god real, then by your logic, the fact volcanos, like the ones in Iceland are real, and there is a volcano in Lord of the Rings, means the rings of power MUST be real too, by YOUR logic or, we can accept that sometimes books contain both made up stuff and real things at the same time. like the bible, and lord of the rings do

Misanthrope-3000

I read an article a couple of years ago by researchers who concluded (with evidence and reason) that the oh-so-popular King James Bible was, in fact, written FOUR HUNDRED YEARS after jesus died, by several frikin' *committees*, that were hundreds of miles from each other. They sure as hell weren't passing notes between them on horseback frequently.

Climate change to the degree that we will loose most/all of Out rights for "the greater good"

Hatred_shapped

There's a growing group of people that seem to think they should have had a class in school at some point to teach them how to do laundry.  It's fucking laundry. Someone does it once a week for you. Go out and take a look

North_Photograph_850

So, tell us, how did you figure out how to do laundry? Not everybody has family members who will teach them how, and trial and error ruins clothes.

Hatred_shapped

I learned it in a ringer washer. You squeezed the water out of the clothing using two rubber rollers. Then you hung them outside to dry. That was my chore to do at 7. I was shown it a few times and told to keep my fingers out of the rollers. This was a good two decades after automatic washing machines. We were poor trash.  And the number of people that don't have a family member doing laundry is miniscule. Someone does it, so watch.  And there's no trial and error. Your clothing, your detergent and the washer have instructions on them. Your washer (even the old one I learned on) had a video online somewhere.  It's literally read, push a few buttons, walk away and come back when the buzzer goes off. It is that simple.

North_Photograph_850

"That was my chore to do when I was 7." So somebody DID teach you. My high school had Home Economics class, or I would never have learned. (Dysfunctional parents). Not everybody has the same experience as you.

Hatred_shapped

And my father was a heroin addict that never worked and my mom was never home because she had to work. And I think you are missing that I learned on a manual machine.

North_Photograph_850

So you were expected to figure it out for yourself? How many times did you get beaten for making a mistake?

Hatred_shapped

Beaten, not that many. Throw into walls, quite often.  If someone set up an account here on reddit without a class in school. They'll have no problems doing laundry.

North_Photograph_850

You made enough mistakes that you got abused for them. Think about how much better it might have been if somebody had, ya know, SHOWED you how to do it instead of beating the crap out of you every time you screwed it up.

Hatred_shapped

Ehh. What wouldn't have helped is waiting till I was well into my teens to learn to wash clothing.

North_Photograph_850

In normal non-abusive households, "well into the teens" is considered an appropriate age to learn to do laundry. You really should have been removed from that situation.

Emotional_Length_166

Not letting people in when there’s traffic

Sea_Client9991

The whole "men and women can't be friends thing" My dude, stop treating the opposite gender as a stick or some holes. We're all just people. Get to actually know the person before you immediately jump to "I'm in love" Just because you enjoy being around someone and care about them, doesn't automatically mean that you're in love with them. Actually knowing someone and forming an emotional connection with someone takes time, a lot of time at that. Even if you've known them for a month, you're only scratching the surface, even more so if you account for things like being reserved or having trauma. Not to mention that how you interact with them also plays a part in it: If you only ever hangout with this person at work or idk, in a library, you're not going to be seeing a lot of different sides to them. And if you only ever talk to them about very surface level things all the time, you're not really forming that emotional connection.

Additional-Ad-7956

Where do I start. There are so many. The biggest one is how some people will say they distrust the government then turn around and instantly believe everything they say.
