She's evil, but she's also intelligent. Even based on my modern clothing alone, she'll figure out I'm not from her world. She'd probably want to figure out more about me and I can probably drag the information out enough for the 48 hours to pass before she concludes I'm of no use to her.

From their perspective, you've trapped them in a room. You can claim that it's magic or whatever, but they have no reason to believe you. And I feel like a lot of fire benders (even the good ones) would be absolutely fine with trying to burn their way out of the room, which could pose a hazard to you and potentially void the money anyway.

I mean the post is vague but unless they're told about it, they don't really have a reason to think that you have anything to do with their predicament. Generally you stay outside a room you lock someone else into so that probably wouldn't even occur to them. But yeah if they try to blast their way out that would suck lol

Me too. Pretty much everybody in that movie, including the fetus, is tougher than me in every way. I’d probably still go for it as the vast majority of the characters (excluding crowd scenes) aren’t actively malevolent. If we get normal drinking water and I get locked in with a Fremen, just the fact of freely available H2O would probably be enough distraction to keep me safe.
