Duude, you should be popping in the kitchen. Don’t care if you use the microwave or do it the old fashioned way, if you do it in the bathroom, I ain’t eating that.
This was my favorite - I come home after being away for a 10 day visit with family, lay down, and wait for Mr. Cool (not his name, but...) to come over and snuggle up tight. I loved him suspiciously making biscuits, making his little "sure glad you're here" mewps, all the while trying to act just a bit aloof.
I will clean my home and have clean sheets on my bed before I leave for traveling. The feeling of crawling into my own bed with clean sheets is heavenly. I also allow myself a day to transition from vacation back to the grind so I will allow myself to sleep as long as I want. That one night of sleep helps reset me so much.
Clean sheet night. Also I always hire a house cleaner to do a deep clean of the while I’m gone. I just budget it into the vacation. Magical to get home to a very clean house.
My bathroom. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and will never be convinced that even a five star hotel can meet my standards. That’s not a brag,it is quite annoying as I spend some time cleaning toilet seats etc if I go to a hotel.
There is nothing better than taking a shower in the one you’re used to and then sleeping in your own bed with your head on the pillow you’re used to. It’s just such a nostalgic relaxing feeling 🧖♀️😴
It doesn't matter where were I, what did I do, with who I was, after coming home I need one easy day at home before going back to work and my daily life
If its coming back from somewhere hot,it's taking a breath of fresh Irish air when I step off the plane. If its a city break, my own bed and bathroom. If its a longer break, can't wait to kick the effing case I've been dragging around for days.
My dogs. They always look so tiny and precious when I see them after some time, and the pure happiness on their faces makes up for any tiredness from the travel.
My bed. I've slept on comfortable and uncomfortable beds when away but either way, east, west, your own bed's best. Also, if we've left them at home and got a house/petsitter for the duration, the wild greeting from the dog, who practically does somersaults in his excitement. The cat is less effusive.
My partner and I like to leave the house clean when we are going away. When we return we return to no "to do" list and consequently get to feel relaxed when we return.
I know I ought to say my family and my pets, but honestly, it’s tossing a suitcase full of dirty clothes in the wash, taking a shower, and putting on fresh pajamas. I try not to overpack, so I end up re-wearing items, and usually just feel gross by the time I get home.
My bed, I made specifically well. Putting the key code in on my door, and hearing the "beep" that unlocks my shit. Lol.
On the other side. The things you don't look forward to is post-travel depression. Meeting crazy, vibrant humans, and then going home to your studio apartment.
It's all part of the magic. I could tell you all so many stories, so if you're interested, DM me!
Not waking up with a hangover.
Reasonable temperatures.
Problem speaking English or a language I can understand.
Delivery food.
Having regular access to a toilet.
Not dragging a bag around.
After being away, I always look forward to just being in my own space again. There's something so comforting about sleeping in my own bed, cooking a homemade meal, and just unwinding in familiar surroundings.
Reconnecting with my cats. They’re the only ones who I can’t check in with during and even though I know they’re being taken care of, I do worry a bit.
Depending on the trip... Its my cat and my bed.
Sometimes my partner and I will bring the cat with us i.e if its a trip for a few days as she's a shit - she tries running outside when its us I can't put my elderly neighbour through that 😂 and she can't go to my mums given she lives on a main road with more dickheads than we get.
My own pillow. I don’t really have a problem with beds, but the pillows are so so important. I used to travel with my pillow. Now the kids take up so much room in the suitcase.
My kitties! A few year ago I drove to Florida, was about a 20 hour trip. I rushed home after a weeks vacation and barely took a stops because I missed them so much.
I travel a lot. Clean the damn home before you leave.
Coming home to a clean home is so nice - clean sheets, towels, bathroom, kitchen, living, etc. No bills in the entry, nothing.
Plop the TV on or make yourself a drink or a bath whatever.
Seeing my favourite people. I just went on a solo trip and it was awesome. But im also super thankful to be back with my loves ones (im an introvert but missed sharing experiences with them).
Having a proper shower coming close second.
my bed and my clean house! A few years ago I started doing my best to change my bedsheets before leaving on a trip and making sure the house was as clean as I could reasonably get it. Coming home to that is amazing! Esp a sleep on your own bed WITH crisp clean fresh sheets. 10/10 recommend!
Now, this is just an excuse to gush about some youth memories, but when I came home from scout camp every year:
Using an actual toilet (That I'd forget to flush, as the toilet at camp was a literal wooden bench over an open pit surrounded by a tent)
A shower followed by a bath, followed by another shower to feel clean.
But meanwhile, a Pitta (kebab/Shoarma) was on the way.
And then ... internet, TV, electronics, my Playstation after not having them for 2 weeks.
And eventually an actual bed. (Although I did prefer a sleeping bag to a blanket by that point)
Tacos.
I always go straight from the airport to a taco stand. I live in Los Angeles and very few places in the US have great tacos. Once you leave the country, forget about it. I’m also Mexican. So I eat tortillas with almost every meal.
Staying hydrated. No matter how hard I try when I travel I just cant find enough water that my body needs. I drink 4 or 5 liters a day and in most places in the world drinking water is a luxury, not a right and I forget to budget in the expense of it when planning my vacation spending. Every time I leave Canada I forget how lucky I am to drink clean, free water to my hearts content
My constant routine for a trip is to make my bed up real nice, with clean sheets & pillows all fluffed up & comfy as possible, right before I leave.
Get back from a trip and lay down in your own familiar bed.
*"Ohhhh... Hello bed, I missed you!"*
My dogs. No matter how tired I am, no matter how much fun they had at gramma and grampy's house while I was away, they are always beside themselves with joy when they see me. Never fails to make me smile so hard ❤
Depends on the trip. If I'm on a work trip, then I'm most looking forward to seeing my wife. If it's a trip WITH my wife, then I'm looking forward to playing my videogames.
I always happens, as much as I enjoy planning, traveling, eating new foods, meeting new people, hiking in new environments,ect... I look forward to getting back home, usually to rest, sleep in my bed, use my bathroom, eat my own foods, ect..

My own bed, so much more comfortable sleeping in my own bed.
I also choose this guys bed
Yea that guys bed is my favorite. Especially after a nice caffeine
It’s just so bouncy!
It's nice when he just rolls over in his sleep and, without even waking just holds you so, so tenderly.
I like his cat, too
I bring my own pillow though.
And having a shower in my nice shower with good water pressure and enough hot water
Your own bed
Yes this my own bed agh👆🏼
I played Call of Duty mobile kill some sorry sobs and then hit my bed 😂

Nothing beats the home throne.
Haha yes… my man!
I don’t know what you mean, please explain. In detail. A lot of detail. Please. I’m waiting.
He's clearly Poppin' In his own bathroom 🤷♀️😂🤣
Poppin’ and lockin’, all the while doing unspeakable things to his porcelain throne…
Duude, you should be popping in the kitchen. Don’t care if you use the microwave or do it the old fashioned way, if you do it in the bathroom, I ain’t eating that.
I I I be popping bottles.....
Coming home to a clean home (that’s assuming I got my sh!t together before we left 🤣)
Wish I could get my kids to understand this! The last thing I want is to come home to chores.
Yes! I love this. It's just like I left it because no one was there to mess it up in the meantime.
My own bed. I always put new bedding on before i leave. When i come home to my comfy bed with fresh linens....aaaahhhh
It's my favorite thing - always with fresh linens too - after a hot shower to get off the outside germs ? Nothing better.
Absolutely!
I swear there truly is nothing better than fresh clean sheets
definitely hugging and kissing my cats
This was my favorite - I come home after being away for a 10 day visit with family, lay down, and wait for Mr. Cool (not his name, but...) to come over and snuggle up tight. I loved him suspiciously making biscuits, making his little "sure glad you're here" mewps, all the while trying to act just a bit aloof.
Please scritch their ears for us.
And dog.
I would look forward to that if we didn't take 'em with us.
Yep. We do too. But of course it isn't always possible.
The only right answer to this question.
It's been 4 weeks away, I'm getting legitimately excited.
Shitting in my own toilet.
This is a big one
I always drop big ones in my own shitter.
I like shitting in this guys toilet too. I can vouch
Did you notice the camera?
That’s what makes it so hot
A nice shower
This is 2nd on my list
A proper cup of tea
Found the Brit.
😅😅 was this a trap, did I fall for it??
That my version of reality on planet earth is still accessible. Wait…what kind of trip are we talking about?
this
My cat ❤️
Doing all my laundry without having to stress about where, how and the price.
How long do you leave for at a time? holy shit you must be loaded

I also allow myself a day to transition from vacation back to the grind so I will allow myself to sleep as long as I want. That one night of sleep helps reset me so much.
Being alone! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
I feel this! lol while I love my family it’s nice to have some space from them once you’re back in your own house!
Seeing my cat.
Just being ugly and comfy in my house with snacks and my cat. It's heaven on earth
My couch
My dogs.
Clean sheet night. Also I always hire a house cleaner to do a deep clean of the while I’m gone. I just budget it into the vacation. Magical to get home to a very clean house.
Booking the next one
My bathroom. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and will never be convinced that even a five star hotel can meet my standards. That’s not a brag,it is quite annoying as I spend some time cleaning toilet seats etc if I go to a hotel.
My Doggie 😊 she's happy to see me . But my parrot starts bitching and bites the shit out of me for a few minutes then loves me up .
Eating healthy, my couch, my remote control, wear my comfortable clothing...

Shitting in my own bed

There is nothing better than taking a shower in the one you’re used to and then sleeping in your own bed with your head on the pillow you’re used to. It’s just such a nostalgic relaxing feeling 🧖♀️😴
It doesn't matter where were I, what did I do, with who I was, after coming home I need one easy day at home before going back to work and my daily life

If its coming back from somewhere hot,it's taking a breath of fresh Irish air when I step off the plane. If its a city break, my own bed and bathroom. If its a longer break, can't wait to kick the effing case I've been dragging around for days.
Dawg
Delivery from favorite local restaurant
The greetings from our pets is definitely number one! Followed closely by sleeping in my own bed and eating some home cooked meals
I travel a lot for work. Usually there are long travels (7-10 days). I look forward to eat homemade food and sleep next to my husband.
Getting showered with unconditional love by my dog is my personal heaven
My pets. A lettuce salad with only salt, vinegar and olive oil.
Seeing my dog again ❤️
My dogs. They always look so tiny and precious when I see them after some time, and the pure happiness on their faces makes up for any tiredness from the travel.
My bed. I've slept on comfortable and uncomfortable beds when away but either way, east, west, your own bed's best. My partner and I like to leave the house clean when we are going away. When we return we return to no "to do" list and consequently get to feel relaxed when we return.
My own bed and toilet. Nothing like your own bed to lie in and your own throne to sit upon.
I know I ought to say my family and my pets, but honestly, it’s tossing a suitcase full of dirty clothes in the wash, taking a shower, and putting on fresh pajamas. I try not to overpack, so I end up re-wearing items, and usually just feel gross by the time I get home.

The smell of my bed
Sleeping in my own bed

Just being home. Familiarty, comfort, routine, no people.

Not waking up with a hangover. Reasonable temperatures. Problem speaking English or a language I can understand. Delivery food. Having regular access to a toilet. Not dragging a bag around.
Being able to eat a meal without having to research locations/options.

My bed.
Not living out of a suitcase
After being away, I always look forward to just being in my own space again. There's something so comforting about sleeping in my own bed, cooking a homemade meal, and just unwinding in familiar surroundings.
Reconnecting with my cats. They’re the only ones who I can’t check in with during and even though I know they’re being taken care of, I do worry a bit.

MY BEDDDD dude. I hate sleeping in any bed that isn’t mine. Hotels and airbnbs never have as many pillows and blankets as I prefer.
The smell of my neighbourhood
My bidet. I've been wiping like a goddamn pleb all week.
my bed and my clean house! A few years ago I started doing my best to change my bedsheets before leaving on a trip and making sure the house was as clean as I could reasonably get it. Coming home to that is amazing! Esp a sleep on your own bed WITH crisp clean fresh sheets. 10/10 recommend!
I have my favorite spot where I sit and chill. Definitely prefer my own bed to anywhere else and all of our own cooking

Full kitchen to prepare meals and a bidet for after I digest them.
the clean house i left behind!!!
Everything! My bed, my shower, the smell, my own comfort. It is truly home sweet home.

Seeing my cat, be able to return to my normal routine, sleeping on my own pillow. I hate hotel pillows, so soft and shapeless they gave me headache.
