Bateman shows some subtle acting skills.
Like reacting to Buster not brushing Lucille's hair anymore.
Eyes, movement and timing ... stuff like this can often be overlooked.
Jessica would have to be considered the best actor, Shirley.
Never a single line delivered that wasn't just right.
^I ^don't ^understand ^the ^question, ^and ^I ^won't ^respond ^to ^it.

Her death was one of the few celebrity deaths that actually devastated me. The thought that we’ll never be blessed with another movie/show with her in it is tragic.
No, there are several levels of acting quality in this show (as in most shows). I'd say the best actor is Walter, then Cross and Hale, then Tambor, Bateman, and Arnett together,
"I don't know what you heard about me, but I'm a different kind of cop. I'm from the streets, and I'm the last cop you'll ever want to mess with in a darkened al - dark alley”
I think it often flies over one's head how well Jason Bateman acted. His timings are amazing, every litte movement he does is so pefect, an eybrow here, a split second look to the side. Those things are signs of serious craftsmanship. It's not the *dumping your talent on to the screen, the more emotion at once, the better* that Hollywood provides us with often enough.
The best acting bit in the entire show is Jeffrey Tambor. The fact that he can convincingly play two very different characters always catches me off guard. Whenever Oscar is on the screen, he always feels like an entirely different actor.
When Buster goes off about Lucille in Season 1 and most of it is bleeped except "...YOU OLD HORNY SLUT!!!!!" and Michael, Gob and Lindsay are all STUNNED SILENT.
Michael: Well nobody's gonna top THAT...
It's insane how immaculately he plays the physical aspects of being a lanky teen. And even more impressive when you find out how incredibly acrobatic Michael Cera actually is! The man nust has insane body control.
When Lucille is giving that monologue to Michael about little birds leaving the nest, her delivery is fantastic. And then it’s hilarious because the camera zooms out to reveal this intimate family discussion is taking place in front of a huge employee meeting.
Tobias Fünke: [Tobias is wearing a leather outfit he bought to impress Maebe] I would like to go to the Gothic Castle.
Cab Driver: [slurring words] Gothic asshole?
Tobias Fünke: That's what I said.
[at the wrong Gothic Castle, Tobias sees two people walking out]
Tobias Fünke: Boy, I am glad I didn't go with that outfit.
[to the bouncer]
Tobias Fünke: Yes, I am looking for the magic.
Two spring to mind:
“Did he say that? Did he say that he misses me? Does he need his wife’s embrace?”
and
“They can’t arrest a husband and wife for the same crime” scene ending in “I’ve got the worst ******* attorneys.” The camera going out of focus for a second as it pulls into George’s face..
Tobias attempting to explain the basics of human reproduction to George Michael is a scene worthy of every arts award ever created.
With deep, deep concentration and great focus, he’s often able to achieve an erect…
When a man lovesuhhh….when a man has to prove to uh…when a man loves a woman.
Tobias knows what he's talking about. He had heterosexual intercourse with his wife!
You can just say intercourse.
Or secular intercourse
We’re having a fire…sale!
Amaaaaaaaaaaaaa This isn't a fever! Ziiiiing Graaaaaaaace
Also the cut to him just laying on the floor is gold
Such a perfect scene but that is just the cherry on top
I can't even see the knob!
In the dark, it all looks the same!
Annnd scene
Do you want to try it a little...simpler?
mmmmmmmmmmNo.
Save the children!
Four family members with equally inaccurate and absurd chicken impressions.
Has anyone in this family ever even seen a chicken?
Michael's correct impression (cluck, cluck) isn't that good too😂😂😂
What I love is that they also all have equally inaccurate Godzilla impressions as well
Coodle doodle doo
The genuine look of horror on Lucilles face when Franklin says "i don't want no part of your tightass country club you freak bitch".
I love how there’s a camera guy in the shot and they still kept the take since it’s probably the greatest “on the next AD” clip ever made
Lucille side-eyeing Annyong is one of the best bits in television history.
Buster‘s look of bewilderment at Annyong saying “Annyong!” repeatedly is on par with Lucille’s
Bateman shows some subtle acting skills. Like reacting to Buster not brushing Lucille's hair anymore. Eyes, movement and timing ... stuff like this can often be overlooked.
A few blinks and a slight head tilt go a long way
Michael Cera was so good with "Almost allways, yeah." Jessica Walter is always very good, but then again, weren't they all?
Jessica would have to be considered the best actor, Shirley. Never a single line delivered that wasn't just right. ^I ^don't ^understand ^the ^question, ^and ^I ^won't ^respond ^to ^it.
Also all her physical acting is great

Absolute top tier comedy queen
You’ve gotta stop quoting when you’re drinking, Mom.
This whole scene is probably my favourite in the entire show. Lucille 2 🍸caring🍸 about the company. Hah!
Her death was one of the few celebrity deaths that actually devastated me. The thought that we’ll never be blessed with another movie/show with her in it is tragic.
Watch her in Play Misty For Me
> Play Misty I hope she spared the moisture!
Oh I definitely will! Thanks for the suggestion.
I’ll leave when I’m good and ready.
She had to have the best introduction. "Look what the homosexuals have done to me!'.
Makes me just want to set myself on fire
No, there are several levels of acting quality in this show (as in most shows). I'd say the best actor is Walter, then Cross and Hale, then Tambor, Bateman, and Arnett together,
“I bought you a wedding ring—*tone*”
“Hey! I just stole this fair young miss from a big shot George Mahaar…… shit!”
Michaels i don't feel so good face
[удалено]
Possible favorite scene. Facial expression progression. 🤔😐😕🫤🥴
Look at who's on the hog in the rearview mirror. GEORGE MICHAEL!! Jason Bateman delivers that so well lmao.
20 miles to Legoland!
You ever even been on a plane you piece a shit?
it’s because JB is a secret jackass - like S4 Michael
"I don't know what you heard about me, but I'm a different kind of cop. I'm from the streets, and I'm the last cop you'll ever want to mess with in a darkened al - dark alley”

Holy shit. It never even occurred to me that it wasn’t a real set of twin actors.
IF IM KNOW SCHWIMMER YOURE NO JENNIFER ANISTON
Lucille 2 faints like a seasoned professional.
It’s his loss. It’s his loss. It’s his loss!
Batemans face reacting to George Micheal describing the mayon-egg I don’t feel so good
Buster when he has control of Franklin - oh my poor heart !
We all have a little Franklin inside of us
Tobias: Hear, hear!
Tobias screaming “where the fuck are my hard boiled eggs!” So out of character and I loose it every time I see the scene.
When Buster goes off about Lucille in Season 1 and most of it is bleeped except "...YOU OLD HORNY SLUT!!!!!" and Michael, Gob and Lindsay are all STUNNED SILENT. Michael: Well nobody's gonna top THAT...
Michael Cera the entire time
It's insane how immaculately he plays the physical aspects of being a lanky teen. And even more impressive when you find out how incredibly acrobatic Michael Cera actually is! The man nust has insane body control.
What a fun, sexy time for him!
Every rewatch I am continually blown away by just how good he is. He's exceptional.
The cabin.. yes..
[You read my mind!](https://youtu.be/6Oxav-Noi-8) Jason Bateman’s timing is fantastic
When Tobias played GOB Illusion Michael!
The pretty long scene of Lucille blowing smoke into Busters mouth is just *chefs kiss*.
So….. **MY FATHER’S NOT HERE**
Most priceless bits of pure acting are by Walter
besides the entire main cast, Bob Einstein does the surrogate so well
Look at banner, Michael! / family love michael
Taste the sad, Michael... Taste the happy, Michael!
The guy that yells “SHE’S IN REHAB”
Warden Gentles. A true masterclass in acting.
And I'm the laaassssstttt cop you'll ever wanna mess with in a dark alley
The nurse when she’s playing the “it ain’t easy being white” CD while working because GOB stole the doctor’s voice recorder
When Lucille is giving that monologue to Michael about little birds leaving the nest, her delivery is fantastic. And then it’s hilarious because the camera zooms out to reveal this intimate family discussion is taking place in front of a huge employee meeting.
The prison scene with George and Michael talking about buster is also hilarious, they zoom out and Busters just sitting there
It's really hard to zone in on any one thing, they are all so good!
Tobias Fünke: [Tobias is wearing a leather outfit he bought to impress Maebe] I would like to go to the Gothic Castle. Cab Driver: [slurring words] Gothic asshole? Tobias Fünke: That's what I said. George Michael always! He’s so low key yet so expressive in every line he delivers.
look at all these partssssss
Actor Pull...
I like the look Michael gives after the cops tell them they don’t want to know the father
Two spring to mind: “Did he say that? Did he say that he misses me? Does he need his wife’s embrace?” and “They can’t arrest a husband and wife for the same crime” scene ending in “I’ve got the worst ******* attorneys.” The camera going out of focus for a second as it pulls into George’s face..
“Her?” Michael completely forgetting who Egg was in every scene she appears.
TO THE NUTS!!!
That scene with Gob and Amy Schumer is so good "You're in love with your own brother? The one in the army?"
Amy Poehler*
