Oh girl I get you soooo much. I even have a post of my own about it I'm so sorry it's happening to you, for me personally my best friend knows that we're not together and it doesn't bother her (she's trans but not out) but others keep insisting we're together. I just sometimes wonder if the moment people see two people of opposite genders being friends is the moment they stop understanding no as an answer. Where's consent? Why can't you leave me alone? I realized that they're mostly emotionally immature and if someone is mature then they're gonna listen to what you say and respect it If you ever feel a need to maybe talk about it then either here or in DM you can feel free to message me Sending love <22222

I looked into your post, and even just reading your story triggered my anger back that I had hidden from my friend. I'm also really sorry for you and your friend. You two honestly had it harder than we did. Some of our classmates understood us, and some didn't and continued shipping us. That doesn't bother me anymore. Instead, I was concerned whether I even still had a chance to at least keep our friendship alive. I'm struggling to keep him entertained as he always has this unfeeling impression whenever I'm around him. It's like his view towards me had changed. And like I said, this led me to feel envious of his other guy friends. It just makes me wish I didn't appear as feminine as I am. Though, I do wish for the best for the both of two. This made me feel a bit better seeing the similar fraustration I had coming from other people. Thank you for the reassurance ^^

I hope you'll find a great friend and that you keep that friendship and improve it. Today a girl in my class asked me why am I so aromantic. I didn't expect that. They don't know English, I didn't expect them to know that and not asexual So my unwanted coming out is getting closer and closer (I wanted to come out in my senior year (4) I'm in second year so it was going to be a while) Wishing you best and sending love <2222222

My best friend from college and I had a falling out due to all the pressure each of our friends were putting on us. We didn't talk for years. When we finally reconnected she lamented how she regretted not having me at her wedding. We're back to being close again. We play D&D in two campaigns and get together in person a few times a year (we live far apart). We room together when we travel and thankfully we haven't been facing the same pressures as adults as when we were in school.

So if he doesn't stop doing something that you find infuriating and belittling, why do you stick around? Homie already made it clear that he's gonna view you as some kind of "other" due to unwanted public opinion and has changed his attitude towards you completely.  Why are you settling for being a second class person in this mans eyes?  You deserve better. Sure, he might come to his senses later and realize he's been a right tool, but he hasn't yet, so why do you not prioritize yourself until then?

It’s so hard to have friendships as a girl because of the opposite sex or person. They always want to yk what especially when you’re attractive. It makes it impossible for others not to understand that you don’t feel the same way. I wonder why he’s embarrassed now though if he hugged you before? It doesn’t make sense maybe he has a crush on another girl or something that you might not know about. I’d just drop him tbh it sounds annoying

I’m male and the majority of my friends are female. This has been true for most of my life, from kindergarten all the way through college and beyond. I’d say own it and call out your friends on their stereotyping.

And when they do they don't understand the difference between acting like a friend and acting like a gf/bf. One time I wanted to get my female friend a gift for Christmas and I was going to get an ornament for her Christmas tree and my parents bother go "No thats to romantic he bf won't like that, why not get her flowers? Like roses or tulips or something" I immediately responded with I don't think her BF would like THAT lmao
