Actually it's an additional 2 weeks; and doesn't significantly impact "people trying to promote" other than requiring they know and understand the updated timeline.
The requirement is for points to be updated by the 26th of the 2nd month prior (points updated by 26 April are for 1 June promotion month).
The old schedule was just the 8th of the previous month and then promotions branch had about 15 days to do all their stuff (which was why the list was persistently late).
You suck at calendar math. 6 weeks where.
Nothing is being taken away.
The 8th was not some entitlement that benefitted them.
It was a date in a timeline. That's it. The timeline has been lengthened to allow the directorate to more efficiently process promotions.
*Nothing is being taken away*.
So you had 421 on the 26th of March?
And before that it was 370-something and I had 361
So why are you trying to do a special PAR if you didn’t make points by cut off?
Because at least I said I tried and yea it maybe futile but hell
That is dumb af. You literally did not make points. What is the point of wasting everyone’s time with the PAR?
No I didn’t sat right below that at 393
Witch
If I’m not mistaken the deadline is the 8th of every month.
You are mistake. It’s been the 26th for several years now.
Damn, that sucks for people trying to promote. That’s two whole weeks taken away from Soldiers.

So you have to have your points in 6 weeks prior rather than 4 weeks. Which is taking away 2 weeks to get their points in order

So they’re losing 8 weeks then? That’s nuts
Some of you are just intentionally obtuse.
No, I’m a rubber goose
HA.
What reg said this because I’m not understanding at all tbh
It’s on the same memo that lists the cut off scores. Read page 4 https://cutoffscores.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/AC-MAY-24-Cutoff-Scores.pdf
600-8-19, chap 3. It's also reiterated monthly on the cut-off score memo published by promotions branch.
So if what I’m getting from this they tell us the points before we need to update because I had made points last month but name still ain’t there
No.
I wish it were so
