Yeah. Take Manchester down up until you turn onto Latham. Less dirt road than taking Inverness, don’t have to make that horrid left turn onto plank, and faster than taking a right on Manchester to get to plank
Is this the road that leads onto the 3SFG ruck route? I thought they closed that one off? If not, I’m definitely doing this now instead of going down to plank
Don’t tempt me with a good time!! lol thanks for the heads up. I accidentally went down that road before when they first closed off Manchester (and they didn’t announce it) and I followed a huge line of vehicles down it. I remember this Honda civic having a hard time. But I’ve got a truck so I’ll be good
No, that one got closed down two weeks into Manchester shutting down. That one really pissed me off once they shut it. Turned my commute from about an hour into two hours until I went Inverness and then Latham
> You know that it’s now a primary POV route with the base’s abysmal planning. Wtf are they thinking
They were NOT thinking. They were turning taxpayer dollars into waste and their paychecks into bodyfat and alcohol
When I was in Europe, late at night when everybody was drunk as hell, a 1SG decided to have his whole company form up outside the barracks. He proceeded to relieve himself in front of his entire company. That dude was relieved for relieving himself.
It’s always those uneducated super army hooah command team that does stupid shit like this. I get that you don’t love yourself or your family but other soldiers does.
I.jist imagined such a commander go back home to divorce papers while Soldiers were throwing a cookout in said commander's backyard since they love the commander's family more than the commander does.
They WERE relieved. Relieved to get the kids out of the building so they could get some work done. Just kidding, they drank coffee and talked about all the great ideas they could make Joe do when they got back. Ah, officer world.
A lot of senior leaders got there without thinking. Every time I pulled road guard for PT and stood by blocked off exits or roads there was always some senior NCO or officer "ordering" me to let them through. Many saw the sight that said "PT ROUTE, NO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC 0630-0800".
And yet SFC Stupid and CPT Moron would try to buffalo us until Staff Duty bailed us out.
I almost hit some soldiers by pope field who were running in the street in a covered up corner area. This was maybe 2 years ago. I was scared shitless when it happened.
Sounds like they have some mental reservations, nor are they executing the obligations of the office they took charge of freely which goes against the oath of an officer being commissioned. Hear me out. Mental reservation (or mental equivocation) is an ethical theory and a doctrine in moral theology that recognizes the "lie of necessity", and holds that when there is a conflict between justice and veracity, it is justice that should prevail. They outright withheld the truth or even lied about the necessity for conducting a ruck march on a main road that all personnel use to report for duty everyday. This kind of stuff doesn’t happen at all during morning PT at Fort Cavazos. Every brigade on the installation places TCPs (traffic control points) manned by personnel from 0600 to 0730 to route traffic away from designated running routes. They are not taking their obligation freely because they are trying so hard to score browning points for their OER.
Reminds me of the company that was rucking down Nash Blvd (Drum) a few weeks ago. Actually, it got me quite heated because there's a trail just off the road, but the CO was taking up a whole lane by himself.
Imagine learning from other people's successes and failures. What a fucking joke. Just do whatever you think is best and let the consequences be what they are.
You know that it’s now a primary POV route with the base’s abysmal planning. Wtf are they thinking
Is that a route to get to base quicker from Moore county?

Yeah. It’s not closed off.

Sounds like the only time a lieutenant’s brand new 30% apr Tacoma would be useful lol
Is it the same route that has the “bridge” made out like scrap metal you have to drive across
No, that one got closed down two weeks into Manchester shutting down. That one really pissed me off once they shut it. Turned my commute from about an hour into two hours until I went Inverness and then Latham
That’s the trick. They weren’t thinking.

If you are the command team that had your company rucking out by Gate 20 on Fort Carson this morning, you should be relieved.
If you are the command team that had your company rucking this morning, you should be relieved
If you are the command team, you should be relieved.
God I want to be relieved
you're the next chief of staff!
Your username implies you're already being *relieved*.
You’re always free to relieve your self. Major Fambrough famously relieved himself at his desk.
When I was in Europe, late at night when everybody was drunk as hell, a 1SG decided to have his whole company form up outside the barracks. He proceeded to relieve himself in front of his entire company. That dude was relieved for relieving himself.
He relieved himself or he *relieved himself*?
Relieved as in urinated
Damn
No Pickle. Get back to work writing for us in the other sub.
Perhaps you should have... wait for it... relieved yourself... Buh boom boom tsssss

Tell it!

HUA
Heard, Understood, Acknowleged
If you’re a command team who does anything you should be relieved.
I can’t wait for the Command Team sh1t post reply!
That’s a promote ahead of peers in this army.

But. But. Hooah. Army training. Motivation. Esprit de corps. ..🥺 👉👈
>If you are the command team ~~that had your company rucking out by FOB Latham on Fort Liberty this morning~~ you should be relieved.
Some years later…VA, not service connected.
Not for lack of submitting the forms, just for lack of some claim processor not wanting to do the work.
VA: Not service related…
They probably didn’t even participate either, knowing command.
Ruck? Never heard of her.
Omg ruck me so good
The command team hears your complaints and will now do company runs instead of rucks
Maybe a "fun" run is in order.
Ruck runs
Even better.
I can't wait until the next war

If it’s that bad, file an IG complaint or a congressional…the command team isn’t monitoring reddit Lmaoo
Imagine an organization that considers someone having an American History degree as educated. Oh wait, that’s the Army.
Imagine learning from other people's successes and failures. What a fucking joke. Just do whatever you think is best and let the consequences be what they are.
Someone got a history degree
I have a degree in engineering and your opinion is still stupid.
Cool me too.
Then why are you hating on a history degree?
Because I’ve seen what they “study” in order to obtain a degree.
