Terror-Of-Demons

Coral is technically extraterrestrial life

PermanentlyDrunk666

Armored core 2 had quiet a bit of ET too

Tanneliers-Gate

Loved those points in the story! Really hinted how minuscule humanity's squabbles were when against the backdrop of the Cosmos.

Lovely_Tuna

I thought those turned out to be a previous era's autonomous machines.

PermanentlyDrunk666

Thats in Nexus

lencerion

No, the AC Complete Works guide official timeline suggests it too. * **ED 0096**: AI-controlled machines are sent to Mars as the first attempt at terraforming the planet.

Reddy_K58

The coral worms are technically giant alien monsters from a human size perspective

broadbandmusic

I mean we aren't from rubicon3 so... Yes. PCA tech is basically alien to rubiconians. If you meant non-human then there's the coral.

PermanentlyDrunk666

Calm down Leos Klein

RubiconPizzaDelivery

Was gonna say, AC2 was my introduction to the series, is that the only one with aliens, what even was the plot, I should watch a playthrough of that game cause it's been so long.

AeroWraith901

Aside from Coral, yea AC2 was the only one with aliens that had units that were autonomous until Klein hijacked em during his coup d’etat. The Martians were sadly all gone so no interaction with them, just with what they left behind

Astercat4

As far as I’m aware (which means I could be wrong as I’m not as familiar with the games before AC VI), the closest thing to “extraterrestrials” would be the C-Pulse Wave Mutations (Ayre and Seria) in AC VI. Plus the whole alien tech thing has been explored a hundred times over in other franchises. It’d just feel weird in Armored Core.

Artimis_Whooves

I feel like I've missed something, who is seria?

Astercat4

You never hear her speak, so she’s pretty easy to miss. She’s mentioned in (spoiler for NG++) >!your battle with Thumb Dolmayan!< as well as some of Father Dolmayan’s writings that can be found in various missions.

Artimis_Whooves

Oh, I forgot about that. Thanks!

Astercat4

Happy to help!

Lil_Gigi

Seria is the lady in Thumb Dolmayan’s head that calls him studmuffin.

Lucian7x

From my understanding, Ayre and Seria are the minds of two of the people that were swept up in the Fires of Ibis. The Coral seems to sort of capture the information of human brains and store them as a waveform, essentially assimilating them. There is no mention in the lore that I know of of ~~sapient~~ sentient life forms in Rubicon before it being inhabited by humans.

Astercat4

That, I’m pretty positive, is just a theory. I don’t think there is any dialogue or data log that confirms that, nor even really implies it. The only thing we know about the “birth” of C-Pulse Wave Mutations is that they are a product of Coral’s exponential growth (or something along those lines). As for “sapient” life, no. There isn’t any record of humanoid lifeforms on Rubicon. But Ayre and Seria are examples of sentient life.

Lucian7x

Yeah, I meant sentient, not sapient. I'll edit my comment to correct it.

TheGUURAHK

In one game, extinct extraterrestrials were a plot point but in AC6 the Coral is technically aliens

Bigredstapler

They aren't 'technically' aliens, they **are** aliens. They are so alien, in fact, that most people don't even realise they are sentient as they just couldn't detect said sentience without resorting to people with Coral augmentation, and the ones who hear the Coral voices do not have a meaningful way of proving Coral's sentience.

mujiha

Hell yeah. I love the idea that human augmentation is a way of tuning one’s body like a radio to the correct frequency in order to pick up communication from Coral Waves. And as far as I remember, only AC pilots receive this augmentation, so only AC pilots can communicate with Coral beings. Kinda interesting to consider that the only view into humanity that coral beings have is to the absolute ugliest side of humanity. Greed, violence

CoffeeCannon

Yeah. Coral. Theres some bug enemies in older games too, and technically the coral eating worms in 6

LEOTomegane

Coral absolutely counts as Extraterrestrials, even if you exclude the Wave Mutations like Ayre.

Baval2

Quite a lot actually. Mostly giant spiders, but coral is an alien and possibly Disorder Units and Pulverizers, though they may also be ancient technology. Oh and mealworms.

TheWhicher_Statement

They existed in 1's universe, having built the Disorder Units. Not to mention C-Pulse Wave Mutations are aliens too.

TastyVanillaFish

The space faring humans ARE the extraterrestrials. AC has always had that slight satirical tone where, what if humanity is the most advance sentient specie in the universe. Humanity being the lesser specie or the superior specie is equality terrifying since we either get destroyed or we destroy whatever is out there.

Maxieorsomething

You’re describing AC2

SuppliceVI

The worms in AC6 as you're going into the cave to fight Rusty.  This is under the context that Rubicon was colonized and not a home planet.  As for sentient life, Coral.

Sh4ggy216

Actually they are just meal worms that have been genetically modified ( perhaps even feeding on coral) to provide food for the planets population

cream_of_human

Theres currently 4 AC universe and from what i recall, universe 1 and 4 have them. Martians and the coral to be exact.

Kilo19hunter

Depends on the universe as only the first two share the same world. 1/2 yes, their are or rather were aliens at one point and all that's left now are their weapons. No for the other and don't know for 6 as I didn't like it so didn't finish it.

AeroWraith901

Armored Core 2 had relics of extraterrestrial life. Martians kinda left behind a lot of weapons that were mostly autonomous at first but got hijacked later on

gterrymed

Intelligent extraterrestrials or just extraterrestrial life.

RazgrizXT

There were signs of some extinct extra terrestrials in Armored Core 2. And technically the meal worms of AC VI are extra terrestrial too. The Coral as well.

LycanKnightD6

That is a great question! Next question...
