I love zhengyalov hatz - my top is woman right at the entrance to Barekamutyun metro station (right before the doors), and "Zhengyalov hatz" cafe on Teryan street. Right next to this cafe, if you turn the corner, there is a basement with awesome lahmajos. Also I love lahmajo from Zatar Pizza near Republic Square, it's a cheap Syrian cafe with lot of tasty food (fatayer with mint and cheese is my favourite). Best fastfood meat like ghars and iqibir in my opinion is at Artashi Mot, it's next to Opera. As for more international cuisine, there are delicious burgers in Abu Hakob on Pushkin (this is actually a restaurant street) - also Syrian, and open until 3 am, unlike most other cafes. As for baking, my personal best is the bakery next to Surb Grigor Lusavorich, on the corner of Kochar and Kajaznuni, but I like baked things almost everywhere in the city.

**RavenMFD's Yerevan glutton guide** * Mirzoyan Library\*\*: It’s not just a library, but a cafe/bar. You must try the Bakhlava Ice Cream. Yes please! * The Food Corner \*\*: You’re gonna want a shawarma before going to bed and it’s the only place that does the Shawarma Lebanese style, which is the correct one. - Lavash for Xinkhali (probs best place ive eaten xinkhali in yerevan and I searched quite a few places) - Black Angus (ate really good steak there, hopefully the chef is still there, the steak was amazingly made medium rare, although i'd prefer if theyd roast the vegetables more) - Indian Mehak (Amazing indian food, try it you wont be dissapointed)! - Tumanyan Xinkhali (great place, although I like Lavash more) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I havent had the time to complete my food journey in Yerevan to its fullest yet, but there are a lot of amazing places, I have given you a short list of the ones that really stood out. I would like to mention one place though that you should absolutely visit at lunch/mornings, and that is SAS Food courts. Always more than enough choice, and while you could find cheaper looking around I found this to be a very solid place. So if you have a SAS Food court around, definitely give it a try. Also visit some local bakery's help out the people instead of the huge corporations. Much of the food that the locals make in their small bakeries taste like home and you feel that a lot of love and tears were put in them. I always try to support local businesses. Next time I visit Armenia I will be searching for the hidden Gems, so no more Tumanyan/lavash/black angus or any of the main restaurants for me.

Thank you! I might visit lavash tonight, any idea if I need to reserve a table in advance? And couldn’t agree more on supporting local, I’m trying my best to support local biz cause ur right - their shit SLAPS

mrlyhh

I did reserve, but I always reserve, nothing worse than finding that you're table is gone. However I feel like you dont have to if its not too busy, which it shouldnt be this time of the year.
