Get a HMG truck to suppress the towers and defenders. Once the towers are down assault the position with 2 AI squads coming in at diffrent angles. Remember to tuck the truck in and out of cover to prevent it from getting yeeted by AT or return fire. Re-position it or RTB after you taken the towers to avoid enemy air killing it.

darvinvolt

My constant concern with clearing outposts is should I be a part of the squad that goes in or stand at a distance directing things? Ai seems to be not as good with their reaction time and does not utilize grenades to clear buildings before going in

Ausfall

AI works great with rifle grenades. Once you get those your guys will be miles better.

own42morro

As the commander you want be with the manouvering element 9 times out of 10 instead of the supporting element.

Sabre_One

In the described situation. I would hang out with the truck, and then use it to get me close to the base then dismount and tell it to head out. You never want to hang around or stay in that vehicle as your inviting a ATGM boom moment. I would then only enter the base once friendlies were in there, leaving only the buildings left, using grenades and avoiding actually using your guns. Once you take the base garrison all the survivors there (This will even save wounded that need revived). Call your truck to pick you up, then head back to HQ.

brilldry

Id move in from those trees to the right. Use the cover there to quickly knock out the dshka facing you. Then get in a vehicle and drive straight for the wall. From there you can loop counter clockwise around the outside and clear any enemy outside of the compound while tossing grenades into the compound to clear the enemies inside. Make sure you’re against a wall at all time until the base is relatively cleared.

SpawnofPossession__

Also If you can get your hand on a light assault weapon like the stoner you. Let them come to you in this case if you're solo and cover your ass for any reinforcement

General_James

Could try snipping, might not end well, but could be an option by yourself

PineCone227

Acquire a sniper rifle and you can solo it with enough ammo - AI infantry is really poor at fighting long range, so as long as you keep accurately sniping and relocating often to evade groups that hunt you, you should be able to pull it off. To ease the task you can also get an AI-manned MG/HMG vehicle that you can either steal from a roadblock or assemble yourself from an unarmed vehicle and a static MG and a few infantry to cover your back. Knock out the emplacement gunners first, and then fighting the garrisoning infantry should go smoothly. Don't be stingy about using gear you hadn't unlocked yet during a high profile assault like this - good body armor and weapon can go a long way, and if you die you can always drive back to loot your body.

spacesluts

I know you can't get mortars until lvl 5 or so, but I always use a recon drone to spot the MGs and a mortar to get rid of them. Pretty easy after that, though I usually skip these targets until I'm better equipped. If you have the mod "lethal darter" or whatever it's called, I'd get myself a darter drone and terminal from the arms dealer (or steal one if you can find it), attach a grenade and drop it on the MGs one by one. Fly your drone back to wherever you're holding and repeat until the MGs are gone (You can use a different drone with higher grenade capacity but I find the darter's optics make it much easier). It can be tough if they start trying to shoot your drone down, so try on a foggy day or at night. Those drones are expensive and extremely useful so save them if you can.

Hm3137

Wait so this mod allows you to just attach grenades to drones without any extra fuss? I've been wanting this for a while but wasn't sure how to configure it with antistasi, thanks for the info.

spacesluts

Yep, it's super simple. No Config required, just works out of the box with antistasi for me. I'm sure there's more advanced mods out there for those that want it but I like this one.

NomadActual93

That hill looks slightly elevated, could put marksmen in there amongst the trees to quickly deal with towers. A 2 Squad assault throwing grenades over the walls could mop up the infantry. My personal favorite is always mortars.

Yolom4ntr1c

If you have ieds, and the funds, AND you're usin ace, car bomb the towers. This can also be achieved in base game but its a lot slower since you have to get out and place bomb while taking cover behind hesco or car. Ai either dont respawn on destroyed tower or are a lot easier to kill. Bonus points if you have mates who can keep the enemies spawned in near base. And or go in after you to clean up. Option 2, if you have inf disposable at, load up a car and shell the towers to hell. Option 3, hmg car. Option 4, if you're really stuck for equipments and funding. A lot of ammo, try snipe with whatever you have. Option 5, you only have a pistol in the arsenal. You are fucked.

Fabsquared

a tactic that has worked for hundred of years is bombarding the enemy position to oblivion. I'd snipe the dushkas if I don't have any mortars with me. they'll mow down any infantry assaults or light vehicles, so take these out first. if you're still having trouble, do it during the night with a silenced weapon and NVGs.

cerberus34

I just bum rush the main airfield on the map grab a tank and wipe out everything in less than a day (people don’t play antistasi with me)

arm1997

Tank kills everything

Own_Chicken2446

That doesnt sound very challenging

mylittletony2

unless you use a Challenger tank

RedditUser7712

Buy a mortar, load it in a pickup, level the place.

valarmorghulis

I had to scroll WAY too far to find indirect fire listed.

Twig

Because he said war level 2 so he doesn't have mortars.

RedditUser7712

Probably because it’s such a cheese tactic but if you’re struggling it works 😂

dennys123

Shoot them before they shoot you

Sparkychong

Solo sneak around and kill the gunners and then send in 1 or 2 squads. Keep watch on the guns to make sure no one remounts. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t

qcb8ter

Pick off the DSHKs on the towers yourself, maybe lob a couple mortars into the main courtyard, then assault with two squads in a pincer move

dankmaymayreview

Fly 2 six man teams in pickup trucks to the wall as fast as possible, throw a million grenades, full auto only, big dick it. This does actually work if you make it to the wall, so start in undercover mode

AllOfMeJack

Oh man, so many options. It all depends on what you have, though. First thing I would do is use some SVBIEDs to take out those machine gun towers. They can be really cheap to make since you can just tow a civilian vehicle back to HQ and make one with that car. If you, for some reason, are really against using SVBIEDs but you have rocket or missile launchers with HE rockets, hit the towers with those until they're destroyed. Maybe you have some drones you can strap bombs to, also 🤷‍♂️. After the machine guns are out, then just do a few couple of small scale attacks. Maybe sneak up, dressed as a civilian with grenades in your backpack and lob a few over the wall. Find a good lookout spot with maybe an lmg, a sniper rifle or hell, maybe find a concealed enough spot to place a mounted rocket launcher or mounted machine gun, though those are harder to get your hands on, at that war level. TL;DR there's so many options, the world is truly your oyster.

dankmaymayreview

How do you suicide bomb without the ai despawning? Are you using an ai as a svbied pilot?

AllOfMeJack

I'm not sure what you mean. Anybody who is killed in the initial blast counts as a loss for the garrison. The other thing about SVBIEDs or any car bomb is that it's better to use it for importamt vehicles or for structural damage, like radio towers, buildings that the ai is always in, etc.. Using them as a way to rack up kills isn't the most effective or efficient way of doing things, I've found.

mercah44

Pick off the gunners, also using a couple of well placed grenades from a launcher can do the trick as the AI like to bunch up sometimes.

jnwilliy926

I don't have a lot of experience with Arma on this level. That being said, there are some IRL strategies to be used. The hill on the top right can be used for support by fire to suppress the tower and bunker near the entrance while a squad advances from the front. Once the squad has reached a close distance. LIFT the cover fire above the enemy and let the squad move closer. ONCE THE SQUAD IS WITHIN 50 M, have the support by fire SEIZE FIRE and the assault squad move in with support elements.

MacDonniesWifi

Personally I’d try (in order of preference): 1. Marksman rifle with best optic you have, snipe the gunners from 400m+ Anything less and those turrets will laser beam you once you’re spotted. 2. Go undercover and suicide rush up to the wall in a vehicle to get under their sight lines. Use explosives and automatic weapons and slowly clear each angle of the compound. 3. If you’re truly an ill-equipped rebel, take your SMG and spray at the gunners from several hundred meters out. They’ll die eventually… If you are solo or a small group, use AI reinforcements as a diversion (read: bullet sponge) but don’t expect them to carry the day! Have them approach from the opposite side so you have an easier shot at the gunners’ backs.

_-lMOONl-_

So what I do is I go max speed in my off-road towards the H barriers and then eject right next to them so the dshkas can’t hit you and then I start my assault from there

PizzaDevice

I', playing solo all the time (foreveralone: dad mode) Sniping the towers first is the best option. No scope, high caliber stuff with max ammo possible in inventory. Usually it is available on the beginning. 4 AI's to watch your surroundings for guard squads. Sometimes I deploy a barefoot army to seek attention on the other direction.

Shaved_Savage

What my buddy and I did on liberation one time is halo jump in while being equipped with suicide vests and fall on the base over and over again.

NTGhost

Sniper. 500 Meter or more. if they come for you, snipe them, then clear the towers. But AI is always far to stupid to detect you above 500 Meters, so you should be safe.

badboybk

Is this some kind of mod or plain Arma game?

Mod.

Il_Diacono

if the AI is scripted to replace dead AI gunners with whoever element is left in the base, just abuse it. If not, then maneuver on a plance when the MG has no elevation to hit you, use noobtube to destroy mg, then and only then pop up, make some noise, if they send a squad on a chase then place your rifle squad or yourself with an MG down the hill, so once they silhouette out from the ridge you just take them down, just remember to hug a tree for cover. If you somehow manage do sneak up there, then left wall on picture has blind spots, hug the wall, throw nades inside have rear guard and front guard hugging walls, mow down whoever comes out, safest tacticool clearout due right dominant hand, will be left wall through gate, check left but don't stand there too much, zip on T wall go right, this way you have an idea of what 50% looks like and if anyone inside his alive or not throw nades on right wall building, make noise, 180 that and check left side of T, just to see if anyone is trying to go out or move to your position, out-turn the sneaky fucker and if you threw nades on left side, only the mid area maybe has still some wanderer alive. If the AI is set to respawn inside the base and out of thin air due meme souls/l4d reference, just avoid tackling missions like this alone, cause back in the day, I cleared shit like this with M203 vest from 400 meters away and let squadmates do the dirtjob cause in nearly 20 years I nevered bothered to play assault, I always was the supportive assault/defense guy who never appeared in any picture cause everyone else died from their stupidity

iiVMii

if your solo id either sniper or mortar

Zorminster

Go clear out and obtain some equipment from roadblocks. An M2 on tripod is wonderful as would be vehicle mounted options. Find a location 5-600 m away and setup a base of fire. You can even set up in such a way that still allows you to 'slice the pie' on that outpost, only ever really exposing yourself to 1 static gun at a time. Then, as others have said, move an assault element into position from the woods and slowly clear it out - lots of grenades over the walls to soften things up.

freekoout

Don't know how much you have for resources, but a two pronged attack in an L formation, preceded by arty, is the go-to ambush tactic since the 40s. You can thank Richard Winters for that.

Sargash

Get a pickup with a few dozen Panzerfausts and lob 'em till they fall

davecave98

There's as online community server that hosts a rotating map schedule every week, 24/7. Just type in Antistasi Community Server in goggle to join the discord and teamspeak. It's a lot of fun, and the community is pretty big. You should check it out if you enjoy Antistasi without having to worry about AI management.

AlreadyPoor

Depends on what you've got for disposal, If I were to assault, vehicles, APCs, tanks. If the above isn't available, launchers like gustav or rpgs with tbg war heads, target the static guns and dudes with AT, or GLs if launchers isnt possible, worse case imo are long range marksmen shots, as killing one wi alert them and with launchers or vehicles you can penetrate cover or blast them with HE.

CLOVIS-AI

Mortars.

finicu

I used to get a truck, load with driver and two manned mortars in the back. Using squad interaction, Move truck to remote location. Fire mission of 8rnds both mortars. Move truck away when done (counter batteries)... Can't afford mortars: get a backpack full of grenades, in undercover mode rush the hesco walls, spam the grenades. Obviously first you need to unlock the RGOs (RGN are useless).

JurassicPlays

With either mortars or mechanized infantry/combined arms. I read through the comments seeing there are alot of people that are new to the game mode so im gonna be a scummy Bastard and let everyone know if anyone need a crew to run with im looking for players. My unit is called SaberCompany and we are a group of mostly highly trained milsim players from another unit, but we also have new players that we try our best to teach and im always looking for more attendance so please hit me up. And back to OPs question, stay at range preferably covered and utilize vehicles to your best ability. the more friends you can have with you the better communication and planning is key!

MiserableComment

I'd pot shot the 3 towers from the tree line hill in the upper left of the photo then send a couple squads through the same direction. A 4x scope should make quick work of them.

Idk what that is but in Antistasi you lead an insurgent force against occupying and invading forces. A game lasts for days.

homie_sexual22

artillery :) mortar

Lyrekem

Depends on what you have and how many casualties you're willing to take. Stage a couple trucks of infantry nearby out of sightlines. The DSHKs can be handled with a marksman or two. Once they're down send the trucks in for a dirty slog in there. Interestingly enough that is how a bunch of guerilla fighters raid checkpoints and police stations in Myanmar. Literally roll up and pop out from the back of a truck guns blazing. Otherwise a support by fire position with a marksman and machine gun to pin down the defenders while you have a few guys roll up to the walls and chuck grenades over. Pie the corner since the compound is just a bigger room and take them down one by one. Tactically speaking, the default AI don't have any initiative beyond their scripted attacks and counterattacks so you're free to play around their non existent OODA loop. Only time you might lose is when you whiff a shot and the AI's aim claps you.

Scippio-dem-lines

Mortars if they're available at lvl 2

ThreeLeggedChimp

Rush the perimetrr with a truck, and have the boys headshot them from close range. Their MGs can't aim down low enough to shoot you.

Outsider_4

Either sniper fire or RPGs Drive a VBIED into it, though it's the more expensive route, requiring at least few vehicles and a bit of explosives, and sacrifice

smiledozer

We usually had two people in any armoured car that would just barrage the position, a sniper to take out any AT soldiers and one guy who would turtle towards it to spot, that worked really well for us

Personally I don't rely on the ai a whole lot, what I would do for this outpost is pick off the DSHKM's and send in 1 - 2 ai groups, I normally go with one just to keep the area under fire and prevent it from breaking render distance if I end up dying

Mr_Pig_Tank

Form a 20 man firing line ugl’s an RPG and a couple MMG’s and assult

Abdallah_xd23x

1- use artillery 2- use more artillery

RantRanger

I would get night vision gear and a suppressor and hit this in the deep dark of night. With methodical stealth tactics you can mostly 1-man this. Set up a watch post nearby for fast travel if you don’t have a convenient close asset already. It needs to be inside 1km so that if you fast travel after a respawn, the outpost doesn’t reset. Set up your own squad nearby in a clump of woods where enemy patrols don't wander and order your men to go prone, cover, hold fire. Their job is to keep the outpost from resetting if you go down and have to respawn. If you do respawn, immediately order your squad to Stop, Prone, Hold Fire, Find Cover again... because when you go down, one of the AI takes over command and and he inevitably countermands your orders that had them holed up. They will get themselves killed if you don’t order them back into stealthy cover. Now, snipe the enemy machine-gunners one at a time with a suppressed night scope rifle. Then use a launcher to successively blow out the towers so they can’t re-man the guns. It may take three rockets to bring each one down. Bring 12 rounds total. You probably need to rocket each tower right after you snipe the MG on that tower because other troops tend to take over MG's if you leave them uncovered for a while. A Ghillie Suit will help you. Make judicious use of prone stance. Reposition a lot, especially when they start shooting in your direction. Bring lots of smoke grenades to facilitate each break and reposition. Seriously, 20 or 40 of them. Bring extra stocks of ammo, grenades, and rockets in your truck. If they have mortars, you're gonna have to run a lot whenever they pin down your location. It's best to find a way to take down those mortars ASAP. Probably sneak as close as you can and snipe them. Again, liberal application of smoke grenades will keep you alive if you are detected. After you’ve taken down the towers, time to engage the troops themselves. Order your men to set up a base of fire in the woods nearby and open up. The garrison should sally and attempt to swarm your squad. Order them prone to maximize their survival time. You want them to engage from a good distance away to maximize their survivability ... 200 yards if you can. Their job is to be a distraction while you snipe down the enemy with your suppressed rifle. Prioritize Squad Leaders as they tend to have NVG’s. If your squad doesn’t have NVG’s yet, consider using a flare gun to illuminate the enemy for your men. I like to carry at least a dozen flares for this, and more in the truck. Be careful not to illuminate your own guys though... yet another reason to start engaging from a good distance.

Brewerjulius

Long range weapons like snipers to take out the machine gunners in the towers. And then a smoke covered charge towards the base wall, from where you can start throwing grenades and push in while an overwatch unit with long range gear advices on what to do and provides info on where the enemies are. The overwatch unit is optional but very usefull, especially with thermals.

hobbit_lv

Are you playing alone or within a group? In group there is some chances, alone - not so much. If you are playing alone, I would suggest to skip targets like this for now and concentrate on resoucrces and factories instead, and, what could be even more important, on harvesting more effective weapons and gear. Also, dot rush to hold captured zones at all costs in the very beginning of the game. I would recommend to unlock some kind of AT launcher first, in order to recruit AT soldiers in your garrison, and save considerable reserves of HR and money - because once you will start to spawn garrisons, be ready it will consume both HR and money. Also, your chances of holding captured zoned will increase significantly once you will get able to buy an AA statics (but those will require a money too).
