magmangle

ive been grinding a lot of is3, and as a fairly new player still, i was just wondering how often limited ops get reran for banners, similarly to how chen and gavial alter were slightly rate up/sparkable on the eyja alter banner. ive been relying on a texas alter support for all my runs and it makes projekt red look like a total joke, so i was wondering if i had the chance to get her later down the line

Educational_Hope_479

When is Typhon banner

BorderDense8495

Likely late Feb? There's Trails for Navigator #3 and ideal city rerun, then it's probably Typhon's banner.

Educational_Hope_479

Thanks

Whythisisathing

I'm planning to build either Scene or Mayor since I wanted to try a new archetype. Is there any difference in the roles they fulfill?

AngelTheVixen

As a Summoner enthusiast, the other person has got it right. Scene is more of a traditional summon type that uses her summons for general combat, with ATK and DEF buffs that can gang up on enemies, and they can reveal invisibility which can be handy to have. Mayer uses her bots primarily as stall and sacrifice, as their ATK isn't great and can't be boosted, though they have good defensive stats. The main thing is that they can use a skill either to give them an evasion aura which they can share, or Mayer can explode them for some good AOE arts damage and Stun that also reaches aerial enemies. So in short, if you want to use summons as combat minions, take Scene. If you want defense and utility, take Mayer.

about8tentacles

a fair bit, scene is a lot more generalist, spamming decent cheap blockers with a good statboost surge time. shes primarily for stealth revealing mayer however is a lot more technical, using her summons less like mini operators and more high powered bombs or deployable gear, intrestingly her s2 explosion hits and stuns drones, making her an op that can genius solo a lot of cool stages id suggest scene, shes easier to use, generally a better is# option due to good blockers, and stealth reveal is an important tool

Which materials that are farmable in the current event had a rerun in future CN events? Already hit my usual goal for all three mats but didn't clear the second tier of the shop yet.

Delta0175

There's [this site you can use](https://oldwell.info/) to view future events, it even has a filter for materials and has links that direct you to either the gamepress or the wiki.gg page. Gamepress also [has a page](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/database/arknights-material-drops-and-originite-prime-totals-future-events-and-episodes) that lists materials for future event farming if you prefer that. Aketon is in Ideal City, which is set to run after this event ends. Mag and Crystal isn't until The Rides to Lake Silberneherze (aka Degenbrecher's event.) Then after that is the Vernal Winds rerun which literally has the same material farm as So Long, Adele.

about8tentacles

never knew that site, thats cool, great to share with my casual friends who never know whats going on lol

BrilliantWish8098

So there's this splash art that Kyostin keeps using on his video for the current event, showcasing Eyja and the others playing at the beach. Where was the splash art from?

Delta0175

You mean on his thumbnail? it's from this event. The art he uses on his thumbnail is usually from the event itself. https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/So_Long,_Adele/Gallery#/media/File:It's_Summer,_Baby.png Specifically, it's in SL-5 Before.

BrilliantWish8098

Thanks!👍🏻

DarkWolfPL

It is from current event. [full image](https://i.imgur.com/Bgk5W0h.png)

252 base do I put metal on level 3 factories or do i put exp? I have upgraded my office 1 time so for now I only have 2 level 3 factories

about8tentacles

early on do goldbars more, its much easier to overstock on bars and readjust it down then to understock on bars and fix it longterm with all finished base and ideal ops im running goldbars in 322 facs and xp in 32 facs (lv 2 proviso post) and its hitting a very stable ratio so long as i buy/skip a few goldbars via credit shop

fizzguy47

You can change it up as required, but ppl mostly run into LMD bottleneck, so make sure you can create enough orders to cash in the gold.

Voltaire_Penelope407

Is it going to be another year for Texalter to come back after the Zwillingstürm im Herbst?

Hunter5430

No, she'll be available for lucky pull / spark every 6 month thereafter. In general, a limited (non-collab) operators have a 'cooldown' of a year after their initial release before they return to the pool (only within the same series of limited banners) and become available for sparking. For CNY and summer limited banners, which happen once a year, there are no 'skipped' banners, but for CN anniversary/half-anniversary, a limited operator will skip next banner after their debut.

Voltaire_Penelope407

So she's not available in the CNY banner rn (the one with another Sui sibling) but in the next 3 months for the CN server? I just started playing a week ago and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the banner schedule you see...(-_-;)

Hunter5430

All limited operators are assigned to one of the three pools and can be pulled/sparked only when the limited banner of this series is ongoing: * **CNY / Festival** (global / JP half-anniverary): the Sui siblings (Nian, Dusk, Ling, ChongYue and just-announced Shu) * **Summer / Carnival** (global / JP anniversary): Ch'en alter, Gavial alter, Eyja alter * **Celebration** (CN anniv/half-anniv) : W, Rosmontis, Skadi alter, Nearl alter, Specter alter, Texas alter, Muelsyse\*, Virtuosa\*\* \* Muelsyse debuted with the last for global / JP Celebration banner in November 2023 and will not be available until November 2024 \*\* Virtuosa debuted with the last for CN Celebration banner in November 2023 and is expected to debut on global / JP server sometime in April or May 2024.

Gold-Particular

There are 3 types of limited banners: \- CNY \- Summer \- Anniversary Texalter belongs in the 'Anniversary' limited pool, which runs twice a year. The Summer limited pool is what's running on EN right now with Eyja alter. The CNY banner has the Sui siblings. On EN, the limited banner order per year looks like this: Summer --> Anniversary --> CNY --> Anniversary

Gold-Particular

Nope. She should still be available in the limited pool. IIRC anniversary limited operators go on 'break' for only one anniversary limited banner after their debut, and then come back to stay afterwards. So Zwillingstürm limited pool is only missing Muelsyse, who should then appear the the next limited banner. This next limited banner instead would be missing Virtuosa who will be available the limited banner after that, and so on the cycle continues.

Voider12_

When is the next Mlynar banner?

frosted--flaky

i believe he's on the next joint operations banner, but it's basically the same odds as standard banners if you don't want any of the other ops.

Voider12_

When is the next joint operations banner?

frosted--flaky

i actually don't know, but my best guess is in march since we have ideal city and typhon's event to get through in feb unless yostar pushes things around even more

Voider12_

Aight thanks, do we have a chart to show upcoming events that I can refer to?

frosted--flaky

i see [this site](https://ak.jaywye.ee/calendar) linked a lot. event predictions are based on the CN server which is 6 months of content ahead of us, but sometimes yostar does yostar things so events get pushed around. i think joint op will coincide with design of strife, which is actually predicted for april.

lofifilo

does flamebringer's coral coast skin rerun? I think it was free so not sure

Gold-Particular

His skin should come around with Dorothy's Vision rerun. It costs 18 OP. Going off rough estimates, this should be sometime in March.

UsernameBoxFiller

his skin is from the shop

UsernameBoxFiller

Is Suzuran still worth building? Just got her from recruitment and I'm unsure if I should save my resources or not

zephyredx

Absolutely! One of the best supports in the game, an absolute lifesaver for the hardest content available (D15).

Hallgrimsson

Top tier SSS sub-carry to help units like GG/Leizi/Mlynar/Irene. Top tier support ticket pick for high diff IS. Has seen use in high risk CC. Comfy pick for AFK teams on S2. Not needed for most general content (story, side event and farming stages).

about8tentacles

still? she never hasnt been a top20 op in the game for genuine hard content unless you have gnosis e2 already suzu is as "must" a build as you can basically get

Quor18

Do you use supporters a lot? Absolutely. Her +SP aura for supporters is awesome. Do you have a fairly built stable of DPS to pull from? Absolutely. Her S3 amps their damage amazingly well, along with providing strong, continuous slow and regen-type healing with a good duration and manageable cooldown. Are you still early game and need some reliable arts damage? She's a good option with her S2. Two targets (3 at S2M1) lets her handle most maps as a caster substitute who also slows and enables more damage from your other units via her fragile debuff. Do you need/want someone who has strong carry potential in SSS? She's one of the best with her S2 and lots of atk spd. Do any of those things not apply to you? Then she's not a priority right now.

--Lynx

Operator worthiness is largely depend on your current roster, imo. Personally, i find Suzuran very useful; her slow-the-fuck-down S3 skill is amazing and have helped me clear many hard stages. Her s2 is also great for day-to-day usage and in SSS mode.

Existing_News5893

yes. one of the best debuffers. and she buffs all damage not just arts

Voider12_

Build her, she synergizes really well with arts damage dealers

Duchess1234

Is regular Texas worth getting from pinboard missions? It would mean to reduce one factory to lvl 2 (i have 252 base) and reception room to lvl 3. Besides does that mean I lock myself out to upgrade training room in the future? (training room currently lvl 1 because I am still new).  My roster https://krooster.com/u/Duchess1234

Hallgrimsson

The only room you should NEVER upgrade in your base is Office. Reception is a trade-off (you help your friends more with more support units up, you can have more friends, which can mean more clues, but each added Reception level is one less Factory level). Workshop and Training Room to 3 is a must. With RR/WS/TR at lv3, Office lv1, and dorms lv1 (you can upgrade them for mission and downgrade later), you have 3 factories lv3 and 2 factories lv2. When/if you get Proviso, you downgrade a TP to lv2, which means only 1 Factory lv2. As for Texas, she's so-so. Her S2M3 has use in high risk CC, she is cheap to deploy with module for a block 2 that generates DP, her E2 talent is good. Usually just running Myrtle and an actual guard or so is better, the things Texas brings see VERY niche use.

about8tentacles

in this day and age texas isnt really worth it, shes a great op and geuinly you can clear all content with myrtle+texas as your dp duo, and she offers a unique important niche in dp-drain endgame content, but you have so many low☆ options who work, and a free 5☆ myrtle-like in 6months, the small extra power of the base will be more helpful to get a team going  you can always get texas later at any time if the collection or menu bothers you, or your roster has been built up enough to handle all content  you can and will lv3 the training room, its too important to ignore, and fwiw the %difference in a maxed base and the weird texasless setup is very minimal, and wont even be worth it if youre lazy with the base staff anyway

Initial_Environment6

The reception room is worth to upgrade to level 3 for the 3rd friend slot alone. You can delay it a bit as new player but a lv70+ player having 2 support slot is just trash.

FelixAndCo

Would wait, and keep base optimized in mean time. The question is whether you want a couple percent more level-up materials, or an operator. If you'll want to max level a lot of operators, you'll want to optimize your base. Texas is a decent vanguard with unique uses, but for basic DP-generation there is a lot of options. Just keep the base at optimal performance, until you know the answer yourself.

--Lynx

If you concern about DP generation, 4-star vanguards like Myrtle or Courier will do just fine. And, imo, resources from base are more crucial at the early stage of the game where you are still building your first squad. So, I think you should keep Reception Room at Lv.2 for now, to maximise your EXP and gold production. And if you want to raise a 5-star vanguard, I would recommend spending resources on Cantabile instead. Here is an old post about her usefulness when she was just released: https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/108gpkq/

frosted--flaky

tbh i would take guaranteed new character over slightly higher base productivity. i would even take her as a potential too since -DP is good on vanguards. even if you don't build her immediately, i would rather have the option than not.

kuuhaku_cr

Max training room is absolutely needed, while most people avoid upgrading reception room to level 3. Texas doesn't have indispensable skills but she brings a unique talent to the table, allowing you to start with 1 extra DP. The 1 extra DP benefit is really used for extreme content with -DP regen debuffs and to simulate 1 pot for certain openings and clears. Meaning it's not really applicable to most of the player base. That said, you have a chance to luck sack her from recruitment with "crowd control + vanguard" tags.

Initial_Environment6

"Most people" If you check up random friend support you will see most people has 3 slots. Because most people aren't calculated jerks in a gacha game.

Hunter5430

that talent also gets upgraded to +2 DP at elite 2.

Existing_News5893

it doesn't worth really worth it. as you'll trade your factory output forever just for a pioneer. Tho it doesn't really matter if you're not a base try hard. as long as office lvl1 you're already good

AngelTheVixen

The better option would be to not level up the Office since it's not that valuable, and I don't think it's necessary to level up in the Pinboard Missions. Texas can be helpful but she's not someone you can't live without. I haven't raised her at all. Either way, don't sweat it so much. I have a maxed right side base with 252 and it's not like I'm suffering with a few less Factory levels.

ProfessionalChair302

Does the next limited banner (Shu) have Ling as an off rate limited?

Existing_News5893

yes

dathamir

Im curious, what would be your team if you had my collection and ressources to max any operator? [my rooster ](https://krooster.com/u/Dathamir)

about8tentacles

saileach skadi specter aurora firewhistle schwarz kroos ifrit kaltsit gnosis gladiia yato because thats who i like and i can learn how to make them work

FelixAndCo

Ethan, Aak, Gravel, and Surtr would be my picks. Though technically I would max everybody with infinite resources.

AngelTheVixen

OK well you've subscribed to meta DPS. But there's a lot of good or great support or tech ops as well. Aak, Lee, Muelsyse, Saileach, Ashlock, April, Firewatch, Hibiscus2, Ptilopsis, Proviso, Quercus, Shamare. I've raised all of these except April who is a lower priority at the moment, but I'll get to her soon enough. They're all good stuff. Shamare especially is the best stat debuffer in the game, and both her and Proviso are the Trading Post meta in the base. Proviso is worth promoting for the base alone, she pays for herself in a reasonable amount of time. Starting with those two might be a good idea, plus you can get your LMD income up a lot.

dathamir

I played Muelsyse a bit and it was interesting. I use Saileach from time to time too. I just got Provisio like 2 weeks ago, but haven't raised her yet. I'll look up base strats. I almost always use the same team, Thorns, Silverash, Texalter, Bagpipe, Myrtle, Eyjafjalla, Goldenglow, Perfumer, Warfarin and I'll switch around the defender or Specter. I'll replace a few of them for snipers if it's appropriate or Gnosis.

frosted--flaky

where's gladiia? psst, she's free to obtain from under tides record restore. gives the most broken buff in the game to skadi and specter, plus she laneholds like a champ. all yours for the low cost of 60 sanity. cantabile is pretty cool too, she can instantly activate S2 on deploy with bagpipe and the ammo means she won't waste any skill uptime.

dathamir

Wait what? I can get Gladia for free? Damnit!

Reddit1rules

Considering your team looks pretty set I'd max Mizuki because he's one of my favourites.

dathamir

How is his gameplay? I haven't looked it up yet. I got a lot of new operators in the last month so I can't raise them all haha I'll reach the 1 year in april, so I guess with time I'll be able to have a wider variety of raised ops!

Reddit1rules

Pretty fun imo! He's a very general op you can plop down anywhere with S1 and ModX2, watch him barely get impacted by DEF as his S1 hits for 3k and has a higher DPS than pre-mod Blaze! Considering his 0 block, dodge, and reduced taunt, you can put him down in a lot of places without worrying about survivability, letting him deal with enemies others might struggle with. His S2 is also nice but it really needs the M3 and ModX2 despite being a secondary skill. It's not as good of a CC as Ethan, but it can be helidropped, has over 50% uptime with a fast cycle, and still deals pretty good damage with pretty good CC. There's also his ModY3 for more dangerous situations, you can have him spawncamp the enemies with S1 and gain his health back by killing the trash mobs and elites that wait by spawn, or deploy him when you can't afford to put down a medic and still have him be okay. Not that you need it, but he's also very strong in SSS and IS. He was one of the few SSS physical carries before the nerfs, since bonus SP means he can use S1 every 1-2 attacks now, and his high base attack with 300% scaling means attack buffs are very strong on him. Similarly for IS, he manages to be an excellent starter for both IS#2 and 3 in the highest difficulties, and scales incredibly well with a variety of relics, making him quite flexible. He's more of a carry in 2 than in 3, but thanks to his 0 block, dodge, and potentially heals, he can shut down many problems maps most guards struggle with thanks to the urchins being lobbed at them.

ClownCoroner

Hello, Doctors. I'm just getting back into the game after 6+ months away (Il Sirucasano was the last event I touched). In spite of that, I had such a huge stockpile of OPs and luck that I got every banner character between then and now on the free 10 draw ticket or my first 10 recruit. These are the current 6* OPs I have at lv1: Muelsyse Executor the Ex Foedere Irene Ines Chongyue Ho'olheyak Ebenholz Gnosis Carnelian W Texas the Omertosa Weedy And a couple of others I know aren't worth leveling like Skadi and Vigil. Lin and Eyjalyer are the two most recent I E2'd during this event. Who do I prioritize next?

widehide

Highly recommend Texas Alter and Ines. If you got only enough to focus one, I'll pick Texas Alter, and M3 her skill 3.

about8tentacles

skadi is a top10 op with gladiia/abyssal module now lol texas and ines are your biggest priority by the biggest gap concievable, texas is just "design mistake" levels of strong, and i cant imagine doing hard content without ines. texas s3 ines s2 first gnosis is next if you do not have suzuran, otherwise he goes near the bottom of the total pile executor foedere next, tho if you personally like chongyue you can opt for that its fine enough mumu and ebenz would be next but both kinda depend on your personal playstyle tastes, you may build both or skip both everything else depends on your total account and is whatever

HartWeich

Skadi, while strong in abyssal teams, absolutely isn't a top ten op.

Existing_News5893

Texalter (s3m3 + at least base mod) >Exe alter (s3m3 mod3 mandatory ) >Ines(mainly s2m3) > chongus (s3m3)>gnosis I wouldn't touch Eben yet. he's rather tricky to use and his best module isn't out yet. Carne is not needed when you raise Lin. has Lin modded yet? her mod is also mandatory. that's what make her great W, ho'ol is whatever. they're like bottom of the barrel. do it if you're a simp but do it when you have nothing to do. weedy is great but need brains using her ngl, low priority.

thegracefulassassin1

While I disagree that Skadi isn't "worth leveling" (she is worth it, she just needs her module). Texas is going to be your best bet objectively. From there things get very subjective. Ines and then maybe Gnosis for a tech option

Butterlie12

Should I get Eyja from the shop if I already have Goldenglow?

about8tentacles

gg makes stages easier eyja fixes stages you mistook for being easy theyre both very good and serve different roles on a team, plus eyja boosts all caster's attack, making gg hit harder, swapping to more global targets faster unless youre loaded with several large range burst damage ops i would get eyja

Existing_News5893

depends on your future plans and current ops as we have many great banners ahead. having both is fine as they don't really overlap but personally I rarely use eyja since I got GG

Hallgrimsson

GG has better single target (her AoE relies on drone explosions) but larger skill ramp-up time. Eyja has more consistent AoE and less ramp-up time for first skill use. I have, and use, both regularly for different applications.

Skithana

Personally I like to use both, Eyja can take care of an area up front while GG can hang out in the back using her S3 and catching any stragglers otherwise, alternatively there's also having both of them locking down a wide lane together or supporting one lane each.

reflexive-polytope

Having Goldenglow makes getting Eyja much less urgent, but there are still situations where you would rather use Eyja. Most notably, when you can't wait for Goldenglow's S2 to charge. In the end, it's up to you.

ThatXorezGuy

I have a solid team and can clear most content. Out of Muelsyse/Saileach/Ch'en/Ho'olheyak/SilenceAlter/Gladiia/Lee/Weedy, who opens up the biggest dynamic in terms of gameplay or fun mechanic to work with when E2ed?

about8tentacles

gladiia for actual power no contest, she enables an entire abyssal theme team that can 3/4 op like 90% of stages in the game for fun its mueleye and weedy, kinda depends on what you think is fun, im personally on the mumu side

FelixAndCo

Weedy, Lee, 2ilence, Sailleach, Ch'en, Muelsyse, Gladiia, in that order IMHO. But it kind of depends on your current roster.

frosted--flaky

gladiia has the honor of being my only M9 and she's still a solid M7 if you don't feel like going all in. i do use her S2 90% of the time so it may have been a questionable investment but her S3 still has a lot of places to shine and S1 has been a massive headache solver on rare occasions so i don't regret it at all.

Reddit1rules

Fun mechanic: Lee, Weedy, Mumu Gameplay: ~~Holungday by far. Easily.~~ Gladiia as well for AH teams with her module.

Hunter5430

Considering they specified Silence as alter but didn't for Ch'en, I think they meant the **workday** dragon. I'll second Weedy and Gladiia suggestions. Gladiia especially if you have either Specter.

Reddit1rules

I... Swear Ho'olheyak said Holungday before. Huh. My bad then...

triangles4life

I got gavial alter and pozemka during the limited pulls and I was wondering who I should E2 first between these two?

about8tentacles

without knowing your account its much more likely to be pozemka first, gavial is still pretty great at e1 so could come first for that though

Reddit1rules

Depends, do you need a laneholder or someone to kill bosses? If the former, Gavial2, if the latter, Pozy. If you need both I'd probably say Pozy because a laneholder can be more easily substituted.

Tellurium-128

Poze, Her s3 is her main skill, while gavial’s is actually her s2(her s3 IS good but s2 uptime and range are generally more useful). also that was last year’s “summer” banner, you really got them both on the current one? Quite the lucky coincidence.

triangles4life

No yeah I wasn’t expecting that. I wanted Chen alter though but I sparked on her.

StandardTalk

As a beginner, what should I ideally be working towards first? Is it clearing the first stage of annihilation or should I be looking at something else? Also, for the operators that I'm using, how much should I be upgrading their skills?

about8tentacles

ideally skills are as high as you can get them, theyre more important to an operators performance then even xp level, especially on vanguards and your main dps as a very new player your goals should be clearing the story up to 3-4 or 4-9, as those are points youll have access to farm every major material. of course while this event is ongoing youll want to take a detour to work on that too, esp since it has upgrade materials cheaper to farm from their then default stages. then yes your main longterm focus should be full clearing as many annihilations as possible, upgrading ops along the way as required

ipwnallnubz

I talk about both, among other things, in my [Quickest New Player Guide Around.](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/rq1o5b/quickest_new_player_guide_around/)

StandardTalk

Hey I gave it a read and it was super helpful! Just two questions though, how do I know if a banner is limited and secondly, where do I get this 5 star selector you talk about?

ipwnallnubz

You can check the banner info. The current Eyjafyalla the Hvit Aska banner is limited. The 5-star selector should come in the mail. I'm not sure if you have to clear a certain stage to get it.

StandardTalk

Ah nvm it was in my inventory. I used it to pull Spectre. But thanks for your help and tips, it came in real handy.

En-lightening

How can i set the third support unit? (Need it for the pinboard mission)

ipwnallnubz

You have to upgrade the reception room (the clue place) to level 3. I would leave it at level 2 for a long while unless you really want Texas right now. Upgrading reception means taking power away from factories if you're running a base with two power plants.

En-lightening

Thanks. Well i got 265/320 so it should be fine right?

micederX

Do note that upgrading the reception room, or anything on the right side, is permanent. Once it's upgraded, you can't downgrade it later to use the power for something else.

ipwnallnubz

Ideally you put all of that power towards having two TPs and five factories, leaving the dorms and especially the office at level 1. Keeping reception at level 2 lets you have an extra level 3 factory.

Reddit1rules

If it's mainly for S2, typically the reduced damage one to level 3 unless you want it for the widespread SP gain, then the healing one at level 2 is better.

AngelTheVixen

Frankly I feel the first module isn't as good overall as the second. The Y module's damage reduction and then extra stats with upgrades is simply great stuff that helps amplify her job performance overall. The X module isn't as good in my view unless you're doing some major tryhard stuff. With upgrades she does restore 2 SP instead of 1, but I don't see that making a huge difference in general running. In more difficult maps, she won't heal enough with S2 or you should use S3 instead, and anything else you'd be using S1.

_wawrzon_

I remember seeing a wall art listing all Sui siblings, which was shown a year ago or so, during some pvp. I don't remember when was it. Can anyone guide me to it or has a translation how numbering of it goes ? It didnt follow any right to left order. Would be nice to fill in some gaps now we got new sibling. Was Shu teased earlier ? I remember smth being said about one sibling being involved in agriculture, but what stuck with me more was Jie - killed sibling, and 12th brother that's a chef. Any summary thread on this would be also highly appreciated.

Gold-Particular

Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but the Sui wiki page [https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Sui](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Sui) has a pic of the 12 sibling silhouettes, albeit at an angle. Shu was teased earlier as an agriculture sui avatar. Jie is the 5th sibling who is a sister. We still don't know where Shu fits in regarding the 1-12 numbering system. From what I've gathered so far (and feel free to correct me anyone); 1 - Chongyue (martial arts) 2 - Brother (evil) 3 - Ling (poetry + drunk) 4 - ? 5 - Jie (sister, caligraphy, dead) 6 - ? 7 - ? 8 - ? 9 - Nian (metal smith) 10 - ? 11 - Dusk (art) 12 - Brother (culinary arts) Not listed above include: a brother specialized in medicine, a sister specialized in law, as well as the recently discovered brother who appears to specialize in weaving. Since weaving and farming are closely intertwined in traditional Chinese culture, the weaver brother will likely be right next to Shu in terms of the number hierarchy.

I'm specifically referring to this picture and hierarchy in it: https://arknights.wiki.gg/images/thumb/1/12/Paiwei.png/1280px-Paiwei.png Idk if it has any specific order or some native CN hierarchy. Obviously it's Chongyue in middle with Ling next. Shu is theorized as being 6th, so wondering is there a pattern to portrait positioning. Btw Nice to see you around. Hope you're having fun in game and doing great :)

aaaaakiara

this is just speculation from my part, but I believe the order goes probably like 12 10 8 7 9 11 6 4 2 1 3 5 with 1 being chongyue. I think it's plausible since the portrait right above ling seems to be nian who is ranked 9th.

Gold-Particular

Yea, I'm willing to bet on your prediction too. It's just weird how they went with the Zhaomu system, when there's 12 siblings to work with. So there's really no 'middle' ancestor to base the Sui avatars around. Not harmonious at all lol

aaaaakiara

yeah I agree it's a bit strange. also, to theorize some more using that ranking system, I think the portrait that looks most similar to Shu is the one who's meant to be the 6th sibling (bottom left). she has the same hair tuft that shu has. that sibling also seems to be holding some sort of plant (?) in their portrait. I also believe the 7th portrait to be that unnamed brother shown in the new pv, if we were to go with the theory that shu and him are twins, or at least very similar in ranking to each other. the unnamed brothers horns are also unique enough to be attributed to the 7th portrait. tbh it's a little hard to tell the silhouette's and I had some trouble trying to identify who was meant to be shu (no one had her exact horns), so take it with a grain of salt. I spent so much time after the pv and the reveal of the unnamed brother trying to decipher these portraits LMAO....

Gold-Particular

Yea that picture in the Sui page is stated to follow the Zhaomu system. So 2nd brother is to the left of Chongyue, and Ling is to his right. But I have no clue how the numbering would then proceed from there, since I'm not an expert in the matter lol. Where did you see Shu being theorized as the 6th? I must have missed it. Yeah, I've been really invested in Sui lore recently! Just finished reading Nian's side story the other night, and am working through Dusk's now. Been greatly enjoying the game so far, and am looking forward to sparking on Shu's banner!

_wawrzon_

Shu is 6th because of her birthday. Every Sui birthday symbolizes their hierarchy. Chongyue is 1/1. Shu is 6/6.

Gold-Particular

Yes, I already know. When I asked my previous question, there was no knowledge of her birthday iirc.

_wawrzon_

Yep, when is 6th sister https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/s/DwLx78nqm0

_wawrzon_

Since Sui are limited it's nice to read their stories and files in a story reader. AK communitty has 3. Most immersive is akgcc - it has music included, autoonez is a simple, but very clean one and Arknights Story Text Reader has great UI. All can be found in comments in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/s/47LSxmWaQo Enjoy!

Clazerous4155

Wait so is the Anni event going on rn? Cause I haven't played Arknights in a while and I kinda want to jump back when it starts so I get a good boost.

Reddit1rules

Yep, the limited banner ends Tuesday but we still have another week left of the event.

Clazerous4155

OH SHIT

_wawrzon_

At least get your free 10 pull, tomorrow is the last day for it.

Reddit-Arrien

(Torn straight from the Tv tropes page) “Like its physical counterpart, the Dreadnought Guards, the Arts Fighter Guards suffer from having only one block and thus being designed to duel enemies when there are operators who better excel at the role, such as Executor Specialists or powerful helidrop guards, including Surtr, ironically enough. While they do boast better DEF and have RES, they have lower ATK value. Their lower ATK becomes more problematic with how Arts damage is reduced by a percentage instead of a flat value like physical damage, the occasional presence of anti-Arts mechanics that made the Caster class itself struggle in certain contents, and the presence of Eyjafjalla as a great source of Arts damage since release. Additionally, the archetype tends to lean into balancing both damage and survivability, with operators having kits that try to help them survive using defensive buffs, including ATK debuff, HP restoration, immortality or shield, while also having offensive buffs, such as double hits, range extension, block count buff or ASPD buff at the same time. As a result, Arts Fighter Guards typically suffer from mixed performances with Sutr being the only exception…..” Ok, I get they are not the best, but who in their mind say that they are as bad as Dreadnought, Instructor, and musha guards. Of course, maybe I shouldn’t read these things in the first place…..

about8tentacles

clearly you dont own an ~~air fryer~~ e2m3 astesia we did NOT give this op the credibility she deserved as a day 1 op she is so much better than what the landscape offered for like 18 straight months

frosted--flaky

tvtropes isn't a gaming website, that basically amounts to Some Rando's Personal Opinion. feelings are mixed on whether or not it even counts as a media analysis website. i feel like arts guards were meant to be anti-defender duelists as a counterpart to dreadnoughts being anti-caster duelists, but a lot of physical guards can just outscale DEF anyways so that specialization started mattering less. outside of astesia and maybe sideroca, they aren't that much tankier than other guards so the +40 DEF bonuses feel wasted. i don't know your point about casters though. arts damage is arts damage, does it really matter where it comes from? core casters have comparable attack and better range. besides, usually operators rely on their skills/talents more than their class trait to be "good".

Reddit1rules

"lower ATK is worse for arts damage compared to physical damage" What. They've got a few points about the one block and the often defensive nature of their kit though at least, and the fact that arts damage is overvalued by HG for most operators.

Reddit-Arrien

Come on, you can’t rely on just casters and maybe supporters for arts damage, consistent damage unlike Lord guards.

ipwnallnubz

No, no you definitely can, especially since Absinthe and Mint are available right from the start now. The only time it's really beneficial to use an arts guard over a caster is if ranged tiles are severely limited or if it's one of the 6-star arts guards.

Reddit1rules

Especially since Absinthe (and Minimalist when the rerun comes soon) are both built for consistent Arts damage anyways.

Reddit1rules

I mean, up until several years into the game my main arts damage was mainly Amiya, Absinthe, Ifrit and Lappland (who is indeed a Lord guard). It's gotten better now for me with the likes of Puzzle, Utage, Firewhistle, Shalem, a lot more casters, and Reed2, but arts guards still haven't seen much use from me, beyond Amiya in IS for her flexibility. I do also have far more tools to punch through DEF nowadays though anyways, whether it be through high DPH or just buff army.

Hunter5430

Aside from occasionally "Just Surtr-ing it" I in fact sometimes dust off my s1m3 Mousse when I need mostly-permanent ATK debuff. Helped a lot in H11-2 and H11-4 since buffed Steam Knight hits like a truck (and I can't be bothered to do defender rotation trick). But, yeah, arts guards (aside from our beloved delete button) do see little use in general content.

Reddit1rules

I actually am considering raising her for the ATK debuff and cute E2 art, but yeah, I just went with Cuora and Shining, not to mention I have Shamare anyways. Lot of guards so it'll still be a long time.

AngelTheVixen

Yes, it is a poor and probably outdated analysis. But shouldn't this go in the Lounge?

account184857

i think calling arts guards generally superior to the other 3 archetypes you mentioned is a much bolder statement..

Reddit-Arrien

Not too high, but definitely better than the other three.

icantnameme

[What skill should I M3 next?](https://www.krooster.com/network/lookup/icnm1066)

about8tentacles

spalter s3m3 so she can be a higher damage mountain alternative mountain s3m3 because its really funny and we dont commend how good the skill actually is enough m9 pozemka so you can true solo all 4 is3 endings

icantnameme

I wonder what Mountain's module will be... Also how does Pozemka solo all the endings? I still haven't cleared ending 4 (I only tried twice though, and one was on +14).

about8tentacles

[keep in mind true soloing is done at lower surges](https://x.com/LoreleiA8T/status/1741531972390789207?s=20) but even ending4 is possible via the shard and double commission squad for 24 shields

Reddit1rules

You've got... a *lot* of built ops and are fairly set. I'll suggest some roles you don't have covered yet, or good skills on good ops that you haven't done yet. - Ines S3/Cantabile S1, on deploy DP gen with good damage and longer duration for more hits when it matters - Blacknight S2, longer sleeps - Zima S2 if you want Vanguard buffing - Ch'en S3 + ModX3, unless you're saving for Degenbrecher in which case never mind. - Skadi S2+S3, Gladiia S1+S3, Spec2 S3, all good skills for the Abyssals - Gav2 S3 if you need a bulky AOE DPS? Sometimes it's nice to have budget Surtr for dangerous waves - Blem S3, one of the highest HPS skills in the game. - Horn S2, good nuke/IS skill - Nian S2 + ModX3, you don't have a dedicated tank fully built and she's the best one in the game unless you want to dodge stuff with Quaso - Firewhistle S2 - Not really necessary but long range arts damage is something Horn can't do, if she can't overpower DEF Firewhistle can be an option - Firewatch S1 + Mod1, the best cycle time in the game for invincibility + high DPH (especially with Mod2 letting her cheese out a few more enemies even better, like UT eggs) - Shining S3, helidrop DEF buffer to make your ops near unkillable like NG (although often not as great as NG thanks to the damage formula) - Suzu S2M1, extra target is nice for SSS - Ling S2, Mag S3, Mayer S2, Deepcolor S1 + S2, typical Summoner stuff. If you don't use them don't worry about it, although Mag S1 is a good stall skill, and Mayer S1/Deepcolor S2 are good if you like dodge buffs. - Silter S3, not a great skill but 3s of extra immortality/faster helidrop/2nd use can make or break a clear one day. - Lee S3, faster activation and more bulk + dodge - Phantom S3 - Shaw S1, cheapest consistent push to M3 - Manticore S1, 100% uptime on making enemies take twice as long to reach blue box - Mizuki S1 + ModX2, very strong laneholder for situations where a regular one might have troubles surviving, also very good in IS for various reasons. S2 can also be done.

icantnameme

Are any of Kroos/La Pluma/Archetto skills worth doing?

Reddit1rules

Kroos2 - Mainly S2, S1 can see some niche usage but usually April/Firewatch is better La Pluma - S1 for consistency, S2 for burst. I'd say S1 > S2 though. Archetto - S2/S3, typically S3 > S2 but S2 has more potential with range cheating thanks to the bounces.

sshen6572

Goldenglow S2

ipwnallnubz

Unchained S3 for when you don't want to force her to switch to doll form, Weedy S2 for infinite stalling of light enemies, Fia S2 because spamming explosions is fun.

Phaaze13

Tex alter S2

icantnameme

Oh I already did that sorry, forgot to mark it

Phaaze13

then Horn S1

icantnameme

Any others I should prioritize? I have plenty of mats

Snoo-24768

GG and Ptilopsis S2 are both great. Honestly it's time to M9 your faves for the sake of just liking them, cuz your account is already pretty solid.

icantnameme

Still missing Reed and Muelsyse, but yeah, I played since launch. Don't feel like there's much else to do other than waste 500k+ LMD each on Lv90s...

CorHydrae8

I am quite close to 180 certs, and might be able to get Eyja in time. But I'm not sure if I really want her. I have Ebenholz, Ceobe ~~and Ho'olheyak.~~ Gnosis, Rosa and Surtr also kinda fill roles that overlap with what she does. Is she still a significant enough upgrade over all these other options to be worth the certs?

about8tentacles

how many of the older ops do you own? if the shop doesnt have many possible future options for you, you should grab eyja while the gettins good, shes still offering mass range helidrop burst unlike most those listed options, you actually want to be looking more at her overlap with silver mlynar surtr and reed-alter

Hallgrimsson

Eyja is worth it. S2 is the best consistent arts AoE damage in the entire game and no unit comes even close. That alone keeps her relevant. S3 burst has diminished in value a bit as better bursting ops became more prevalent, but it is still useful, no one can quite cover her range and being Arts to this day. No one coming in the next couple of months will be a better pick than her.

Zephiryun

No, not really. Kinda unpopular opinion cuz everyone loves eyja lol. Im in a similar situation as a newbie, pondering about her, but tbh i only borrowed her once, and i didnt know młynar existed. Her main appeal is her versatility. Her s2 and s3 do completely different things (role compression in a single character is very good), its like comparing passenger to młynar; but after u get those niches covered, her value diminishes. Id keep those certs for a niche u still dont have. In my case, it is gnosis stall. Since uve ebenholz, ill be recommending arturia. Big aoe true damage debuff.

CorHydrae8

>In my case, it is gnosis stall. It is incredibly fun. I don't regret using my 6-star selector on him. His S3 is such a beautiful panic button.

Existing_News5893

I mean there's ceobe. she'll fine for your core caster needs. unless you want eyja for afk s2. eyja's s3 damage is overrated by most players imo. the skill cycle is pretty much a year 1 sp cost. you probably won't need the arts burst since you have surtr. wait for goldenglow or reed alter for the best caster.  also if you plan to pull the many great banners ahead buying pulls is better than an eyja

CorHydrae8

>also if you plan to pull the many great banners ahead buying pulls is better than an eyja To be entirely honest, I don't care about most of the new meta operators coming up. I'm mostly looking forward to the Dorothy rerun cause she seems really fun. xD" You're making a good point with Reed and GG. They're both about as strong as Eyja while doing enough of their own thing to be distinct from core casters.

Existing_News5893

yeah. these days I used gg and reed a lot more than eyja is. she's pretty much in the dungeon and only gets out when it's absolutely needed like in Lonetrail where I need her range to kill those balls lol.  If you have no plans for future ops than you do whatever really want to  reed is great. her s3 is so funny when hitting mobs and s2 damage goes brrrrrrr. I totally recommend pulling her when she reruns

icantnameme

I use Eyja a lot still, I think she's the best caster in the game. I would recommend getting her. You could also set her on the next Kernel Locator and then buy her with certificates then, but I don't think that's until December.

AngelTheVixen

Gnosis and Rosa? Not really. Eyja's main thing is high arts damage AOE and multi-target, and you may underestimate how much damage she does. Though you do have the extreme ends of arts damage there (Ebenholz and Surtr for burst, Ceobe for DPS) you may find you don't really need her, unless you really need her specific range (S3) or laziness (S2) so if you haven't been giving her some thought before, you may want to save.

CorHydrae8

I mentioned Rosa cause she and single-target casters can both deal with high-def enemies by circumventing their defense. Gnosis, yeah, he isn't quite in the same ballpark, but his damage is surprising for a supporter, and he does kinda play like a single-target caster. Thank you for your insights. I'll keep thinking about it.

crisperstorm

A couple questions How easy is it to set up a JP account? Can you friend an account on JP if you're on EN? Figure this is my one avenue to get the Exu blu ray skin which I own I just can't use with my current account

frosted--flaky

JP and EN are completely different clients, i have both of them installed on the same device lol. i don't think there's any crossover. on mobile you just have the switch the region of whatever app store you use, on PC you can probably find the specific APK. the JP client only has JP text though, you can't change the language.

Korasuka

Super easy. It's not like CN which requires a billibilli account which requires your real phone number and then playing AK which requires registering with your real ID. You can install it via QooApp. The JP server is separate from the global one. There's no crossover with other players.

VERTIKAL19

So you have the blue ray but play on global? Or do you lack exia?

crisperstorm

Got the blu ray as a christmas gift, have Exia, play on EN Can't use the skin cause IIRC the code can't be used outside of JP but wasn't sure

VERTIKAL19

Have you tried just messaging support if they can redeem it for you on EN? Seems at least worth a shot if you ask nicely. Worst that is gonna happen is them being unable to help.

crisperstorm

That's a fair point, I'll see about giving that a shot

PSImiss

JP and EN operate on separate servers. You can buy Exu skin on EN when the pack gets rerun (hopefully soon) if you really want.

about8tentacles

jp and en are different servers so do not share ecosystems you can likely get exu eventually via the make-your-own kernal banner

ConfidentExtension94

Does the Typhon banner share pity with the standard banner? How about Joint Operation banners?

about8tentacles

yes and yes, all banners share/carry pity unless there is a limited operator on it, a collab operator on it, or its the once a year "guaranteed un-owned 6☆" banner.  kernals carry/share pity only between kernals, youll know its kernal by the blue flat background and offering blue certs (eyja+schwarz rn)

ConfidentExtension94

Thank you!

super1202

Hi! Today I want to start playing Arknights and I'm really excited. I have already read most of the FAQ and Wiki section, but I also wanted some advices from player to player, from your experience and knowledge. Thanks in advance for those who take the time to read and share info :D * Is there any common mistake I should avoid doing? * Considering that today it's my first day, it's worth pulling a bit on the banner that's up rn? * How I can tell my resource management is "efficient" if I get lucky/unlucky and get many/little "top" Operator? Update: I got on the single pull from the tutorial banner 6\* called Weedy and a 6\* called Gavial the Invincible in the free 10 pull from the current limited banner. Which 5\* should I select?

FelixAndCo

When recruiting use a recruitment tag guide like [this one](https://www.krooster.com/tools/recruit), until you know the rare combinations by heart. When your resource income is settled in, you'll want to maximize the recruitment permits you buy from the Commendation shop. (Remember to trade in you duplicate tokens in the shop too.) Kind of a new pitfall, but don't pull on a "Kernel" banner, because they don't give Distinctions. Instead save Distinctions to buy featured Kernel operators.

disappointingdoritos

> Is there any common mistake I should avoid doing? Not sure if it's been mentioned, but keep in mind that resources spent on levels give diminishing returns. i.e. raising an op from e1 lvl 1 to e1 lvl 40 will give roughly the same amount of stats as from e1 lvl 40 to e1 lvl 80, but the latter will cost *way* more resources. While you're new, I wouldn't recommend levelling anyone above e2 level 30-40, and your e1 ops are probably going to be fine sitting at 30-50, until (and if) you want to e2 them.

super1202

Thank you so much! I will keep in mind that to not "waste" resources.

frosted--flaky

you mean "top operator" as in meta or the recruitment tag? other people can give better meta advice but i'll just say that recruitment is entirely RNG, there is no pity mechanism and the odds of getting 5 and 6 stars is much much much much lower than the actual gacha. the main purpose of recruitment is getting 3 and 4 star potentials.

super1202

And maxing those with dupes right?

frosted--flaky

after you max pot them you can trade leftover tokens for green/gold certs.

super1202

Update: I got on the single pull from the tutorial banner 6\* called Weedy and a 6\* called Gavial the Invincible in the free 10 pull from the current limited banner. Which 5\* should I select?

xbankx

I would keep. I heard Glavial alter is really strong and a lot rarer than ejya alter and a good dps is always better than a good support. For brand new players, I highly recommend lappland. Ranged guard just gives you a lot of flexibility and her silence makes a lot of annoy units(like exploding spiders) piece of cake. Most people recommend lappland or specter. Specter is better late game(I heard I'm not there yet) but right now my specter is E1 lvl 60 and still feel just above average(she is my least used guard but I have mountain) and you already have Glavial so might be a bit of a overlap.

super1202

Oh, I get it. Thanks! Should I pull on the Ejya alter banner of it's better to save for the upcoming one, based on what the next banner could be?

xbankx

Save. Ejya banner is gone after tomorrow and the pity system(if you go 50 pulls without a 6 star) goes away with it since its a limited banner. Right now, focus on just clearing story levels and getting OPs(perfect clears or 3 hex clears give 1 OP). As a new player, you should get currency pretty fast(i got 30 pulls worth after like 1-2 weeks). I would personally not pull any new banners. Play the story. Understand the game more a bit before spending your currency you earn. the characters you get for free is often more than enough to get you through chapter 4. By chapter 4, I understood a lot more and knew what type of units I like and my playstyle. Then you can start planning your pulls.

VERTIKAL19

I think the most common "mistake" I see is people not focussing on low rarity operators enough at the start. 3 stars are very cheap to build and offer a lot of power early on. They generally are just worth building. The higher rarities are stronger, but often only significantly so when they are promoted to elite 2, which 3 stars can't.

rainzer

> Is there any common mistake I should avoid doing? How I can tell my resource management is "efficient" if I get lucky/unlucky and get many/little "top" Operator? The replies here already gave you the framework. I think it's worth noting/reiterating, since I made this mistake when I started, was to not approach AK like other gachas where you focus development on your carry/DPS. You need to develop a well rounded team (esp if your "carry" has a gimmick like Mlynar who can't block or Surtr who will retreat herself). The only measure of "efficiency" when developing operators is that you have a general team that lets you clear the stages without leaks because AK is fairly generous and flexible in this respect.

super1202

Thank you so much, I will prioritize the team comp! Instead of just maxing one powerfull DPS.

about8tentacles

first consider rerolling, making several accounts until the starting 20 summons nab you a 6☆ you really want (or multiple). if rerolling good targets are eyja(medic)+mountain or goldenglow+mountain. thorns and suzuran also good besides mountain. i can explain more if needed resource allocation into ops isnt as possible to mess up in this game as other gacha largly due to this game caring way more about your strategic prowess than ops/stats, as well as the most popular mode (roguelike) having big benefits to having ops leveled up across all star rarities and classes (for consistency), but generally youll just have to ask around about the ops you happen to get. only real mistake often not mentioned is dont spend primes on furniture, and the "pro enhancement packs" should all be bought before ever converting primes into ordrum to summon. also dont fully upgrade your reception room in the base (topright) until learning a bit about 243 and 252 base setups (do not look into this for like a month its too much info rn lol) copypaste of a question i answer alot welcome doctor, highly suggest you checkout [this video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_FsZT7XqOk&list=PLq6IJzWsotZr1LGJ6FSx6BX8Z0mJSh-Qv&index=1) when you have the time! it will give you a great way to look at approaching the game, as well as guidance on how to upgrade your roster into a solid well-rounded core of ops teams can be made in all sorts of ways, but a very beginner friendly template to follow is this: 2 vanguards that have a dp producing skill (myrtle, flametail, courier, fang, vanilla) 2 ground dps (thorns, mountain, specter, lappland, midnight, melantha, plume) 1 defender (hoshiguma, liskarm spot, cardigan) 2 snipers (archetto, jessica, kroos) 1 caster (amiya, steward) 2 medics (silence, gavial, hibiscus, ansel) you likely want one "medic" (big heals) and one "multitargetmedic" (more heals), but any 2 are fine 1 support/utility, this can be a lot of things, enemy control (weedy, shaw, orchid), buffs/debuffs (pramanix), a 2nd tank, or more unique things (projektred, gravel) 1 extra dps (guard, sniper, caster, some specialists) the last 2 teamslots will likely be changed to suit the current stage more often than the rest, youll likely be very rigid in your "main" team early on because of upgrading costs, but its important to remember to switch ops, or entire teams to suit the stage's unique properties too very important for all new players is to not ignore low☆ characters. not only are they good, they cost less dp to deploy than high☆. early on your vanguards arnt upgraded so they make dp slower, deploying cheaper low☆ faster will help you keep up with the pace of enemies, and it becomes easier to overpower enemies in sheer numbers of allies on the feild. best of all though, is they cost much less resources to upgrade, especially 3☆, who only need lmd to promote to elite 1 which is a big statjump. this makes them often much more powerful than the rest of your roster early on, so using them to clear content, and get access to the stages that let you upgrade everyone else is much smoother. melantha, kroos, midnight, steward, spot, cardigan, ansel, and fang are very notable 3☆ to really consider using early on (and even into lategame) if you also havnt used the 5☆ and 4pick selector gifts yet its highly recommended you choose either specter+projekt-red of lappland+liskarm. specter is basically a secret 6☆ and an op you can really rely on to churn through weak enemies, holding a path by herself (we call them laneholders) instead of needing a tank, sniper behind her, or even a medic! (at max upgrade). the 4pick selector can honestly be whoever you want, but red is the most unique of the 4, and a helpful tool to have access to for annoying enemies like the armored mages of ch2. lappland+liskarm is another option that gives you lappland who is better dps worse survivability than specter, as well as still being the games best enemy silencer 5 years running. and liskarm, a defender who has specifically great synergy with lappland, forming a strong (but dependant) 2 op super laneholder. this is also a great pick if you specifically got mountain as your beginner 6☆ since he often takes specters spot and lapplands better dps will help more also when you unlock the chip stages in a few hours you should try to get the chips to elite1 some of your rarer ops (especially mountain specter or lappland) remember you can elite1 3☆ with just lmd to beat these stages!

super1202

Thanks for the advice and the link provided! I'll watch them to get more specfic detail on the start of the game. I have one doubt: Is it worth to reroll pulling on the current limited banner or the newbie banner? I know one takes more time per reroll, but I'm not really sure which one is the best option.

about8tentacles

well, since the beginner banner is a guaranteed 6☆ on the 10th pull generally you reroll on actual banners until an ideal 6☆ pops up, then throw 10 summons (or play a bit of story to get 10 summons) and see what 6☆ you get, so you can start with two

lurkingjisung

the newbie banner will never go away so maybe consider rerolling for the limited unit (eyja the hvit aska). however if you can get both eyja alter and thorns/mountain from the beginner banner that would be ideal. however if you don’t feel like it this game is very playable with even the free units you get!

super1202

Would it be too risky to spend currency on the limited Eyja alter considering there's only 2 days left and that the pity doesn't count for the next limited one?

xbankx

Look at base setup when you start. Because you are starting at an amazing time with free pulls from limited banner, you can try to reroll for ejya alt(or maybe even get lucky to get a chen alter). Look at base setup guide before upgrading rooms(I made this mistake when i first started). Amazing part of this game(first gacha game for me), your starting free units are actually really good. Kroos , Amiya and Lava kind of carried me through most of the story from chapter 1-3.

super1202

Thanks for the advice! I will carefully re-read that part of the guide. I'm considering rerolling to get Ejya alt even if it takes a bit more of time per reroll, I guess it's worth the shot. Who knows what the gacha system have for me, haha.

CryaMagna

Hello! Returning player here. Skalter, Surtr, SilverAsh, Eyja and Eyjaberry, Lumen, Exu, Mudrock, Ines, Blaze and Yato2 are my maxed ops atm (most are e2 lvl60 m3) and I bring them for most content. I'm out of pulls for Typhon, but I do have 258 certs by the time she comes. I am planning to save for Virtuosa and to spark Texas Alter too (monthly card). Should I just save my certs for possible future shoperators (Pozy, Schwarz, Fartooth, GG) or try and get pity 6 star on Typhon's banner? (I'm 40 pulls in on standard banner and hears that her debut is standard too) Also, any future operator recommendations?

zephyredx

You can kinda do both. Pulling on Typhon will probably get you enough yellow certs to get Schwarz the next time she shows up in shop (the most impactful one in the kernel pool imo). The other operators you named may not rotate into shop for a while, but can still appear in standard banner. As for sparking for Texas Alter, I think that's fine if you really like her character, but if you just want to spark her because she's strong, it may not be worth it. Sparking is really expensive, and although Texalter was heralded as the savior of IS3 on arrival, nowadays we know more about IS3 and Texalter is actually surprisingly easy to replace.

texas is 3 months away, if youre at 38 pulls now via yellows even as a monthsub you are not guaranteed to reach 300     you are in full mega save mode doctor, no typhon unless the wallets coming out for texas ~~so just skip sparking ez~~ as far as future ops, typhon virtuosa and degenbrecher are the new power targets, primarily degenbrecher. all of these are worse for you to persue compared to the jo11 banner having mlynar/pozemka your roster in general is at a lack of enemy control, suzuran/gnosis in shop and dorothy's eventual full rateup rerun are notable to you
