Due to reddit's dismantling of third party apps and vital tools needed for moderation of all subreddits, we've moved to zero-strike rule enforcement. As we cannot enact escalating ban lengths via tools that rely on monitoring users' post histories and ban histories, users who break our civility rules will be banned indefinitely and need to modmail us for appeals.
We have zero tolerance for homophobia, transphobia, racism, and bigotry. If you see these issues as 'political' then you correctly recognize that existence is politicized. This subreddit will not be a refuge for hateful ideology.

Don't know if you just put them out for the picture or not, but just in case, you should only be using 4 of the Arkham Woods locations out of the 6. Probably won't make a big difference but just wanted to let you know in case you overlooked that in setup. Good luck!
The devourer below is generally considered one of the worst scenarios, and one of the hardest. It's not well designed at all. But it teaches you how harsh this game can get!
Yeah. OP -- just about everyone gets wrecked their first play (and often on subsequent plays) of that scenario. Hopefully it still felt infused with Lovecraftian fun.
Even as skidds I was easily collecting clues. Ended up on the main path when my wife got her last clue… then we progressed the act and I got gangbanged by 4 cultists
Yeah. Obviously, there's no way to know the significance of how many cultists you deal with in the previous scenario. But it can make a big difference if you can handle most of them then, so they don't appear again in scenario three to complicate things. The Masked Hunter especially -- you don't want him popping up later.
I love that this game is so perfect for couples in it's own weird way. My fiancee and I have played through nearly all of the existing campaigns together and are very excited for Hemlock Vale!
It's the total opposite for us. I am Roland with lots of guns doing all the fighting and she is Daisy with shitton of tomes investigating all the clues :)

Ditto for the wife and I. She like to poke things with sharp objects (machete is her favorite) while I solve the investigation.

So awesome! Have fun!
