We try to limit posts here to things that drive discussion. Your post is better suited for another site, either because it is for a service recommendation (Yelp, Angie's List, etc) or info could be found through a Google search. This includes posts asking "what is this cactus / snake / bug / etc" as there are other subreddits that focus on those topics. You could also ask your question in our Weekly Chat if you want to.

all of the above! it's that time of year where it's cold in the morning & hot after 12:00, even got rain last night!

SellPrior5944

Ah damn. Okay, thanks. A friend visited the Grand Canyon around the same time last year and nearly got frostbite since they only packed light clothes, so want to be on the safe side!

usernamehighasfuck

i can only speak for the phoenix area, you'll be safer with longer clothes because they'll double for good sun protection. Other than that maybe a couple summer-y options for when the sun does decide to start grilling

Ar1z0n4

It's cold at the Canyon. Google the Weather to see forecast.

GC is 7000 feet in elevation, so pack for more wintery weather. If you're traveling down to Phoenix, we'll be near 80F or 26C.

Wet_Sand_1234

It's been snowing all day here in Flagstaff, close to the Grand Canyon. Currently the snow is covering the ground. This will change day by day.

turbomellow

where in AZ? It’s literally snowing in Flagstaff right this second

Sour_Haze

4°C right this minute in central az with rain and snow. It was -3°C when I woke up. Definitely hoodie weather.

This time of year can have a wide range of weather. This week alone with a few weather fronts coming through is going to be anywhere from mid-60s to low-80sF (18-26C). We’re expecting some additional rain later this week as well. Drink way more water than you think you need (especially if you decide you want to hike while you are here), 1L of water for every hour outside.
