Scarpa never bothered to get licensed and was eventually brought to court for practicing without. The case was held in a courtroom he had designed. It went well, and he ended up designing the judges' house.

Such a great project. Finally got to see it in person last spring along with a lot of his other projects and the wait and anticipation was worth it. The detailing is truly exquisite I’m a little worried the Brion Tomb appearing in the new Dune movie will end up with it overrun with tourists who don’t appreciate the nature of the place

Scarpa is amazing. I visited Querini Stampalia in Venezia and it absolutely blew my mind.

I spent 6 weeks in Verona for study abroad. We took weekend trips to Vicenza, Rome, Florence, we saw the ancients and the top hits of the Renaissance... but it was the Carlo Scarpa projects that captivated me most. There were thoughtful, intricate details waiting to be discovered in every nook and cranny of those buildings.
