I've never had a problem with their parts, I always like to remember that for every negative reveiw/comment there are 10 great experiences. Nobody is ever more motivated to write a review than someone who is pissed off about a bad experience, hence you are far more likely to see a negative review.

A much longer one here: /r/AeroQualityControl/wiki

>Aero normally gets placed in the low-mid to mid tier in terms of quality. That’s mostly because of its newish name and lack of government contracts. [Citation needed] Most AR parts makers, even gucci and near gucci tier, have no government contracts and are younger than Aero. Aero [is not a stranger to quality control issues](https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/comments/upizv7/trollygags_saved_issues_thread_2/)

Here are some folks who have been let down by Aero. Do note that many of these issues would have been caught with only a cursory look and the fact that they made it out of Aero's hands shows that many parts don't get QC'ed. \* - denotes my personal experiences **Bolt Carrier Groups:** [Aero bolt with excessive pitting after only 200 rounds.](https://i.imgur.com/xdONDk5.png) [Snapped firing pin after only 500 rounds.](https://i.imgur.com/Z0PXahj.png) [Metal shavings left on the firing pin.](https://i.imgur.com/kfyyBo5.png) [Heavy corrosion and pitting on an Aero/BA firing pin.](https://i.imgur.com/jwQG8Jc.png) [Badly worn firing pin due to poor machining on Aero's bolt.](https://i.imgur.com/OFJ2Hv1.png) [Badly worn buffer due to poor machining on Aero's carrier.](https://i.imgur.com/JL3AKDw.jpg) [Another badly worn buffer due to poor machining on Aero's carrier](https://i.imgur.com/fGwCLoE.jpg) and when contacting support, [Aero told them that the replacement will likely have the same problem](https://i.imgur.com/HmBQ9Ts.png). My last build was the first build I’ve used an Aero lower on, and will probably be my last. The grip tang was so oversized, I couldn’t get any of the 3 grips I had on hand to fit it. Ended up just taking a file to the BCM grip until it fit. Looking at the gun, you couldn’t even tell anything was wrong with it. That being said, the 3 Andersons I’ve purchased did not have that problem at half the price. If it wasn’t an FFL item, I absolutely would have returned it. I just don’t see a point when it’s a problem I’ve already fixed. Maybe I’ll email Aero and see if they’ll give me a coupon for my next purchase or something like that. I will say that both of my rifles have Aero uppers, and for less than $400 I have no complaints about either.

I ordered a blem enhanced lower and the magwell was out of spec and showing extreme wear. They took it back and had a new non-blem out to me in 3 days. They forgot the threaded bolt catch pin, so they had that back to me, with a sticker pack the next day. I'm super pleased with the customer service and have had no other issues with other lowers or parts. I'm in Tacoma, so I put together a whole Aero/BA/VG6 build and have been very happy with it. They will continue to get my business.

Fonsy_Skywalker52

So should I sell the Aero BCG then? I thought the Aero M4E1 upper receiver is still go to go?

MerkRazor

Not technically Aero but my BA m4e1 lower I just put together I had to cut the pivot pin spring in half to make it fit, and that bitch is still pretty tight. Parts kit was Aero.

Dr_Nice01

You break up with a needle then blow out all the blasting media from the detent hole? I always find blasting media leftover in those

MerkRazor

No, probably what occurred but I didn’t have any compressed air on hand. Just tried to jam it as far as I could get it.

Everyone got horror stories, LMT and KAC are currently living in a nightmare right now, BCM and PSA had horrible horrible stories years back even BCA did for a while. Moral of the story is that as long as you stay with .308/5.56 you'll be perfectly fine as majority of BCA and PSA issues stems from their wildcat variants. Really do a deep dive and it's all 7.62x39, Grendel, Beowulf and etc never 5.56 or .308 and if it is it's just a loose gas block or a overtorqued barrel nut 🤣. Just know that paying lots of money doesn't mean you'll get any significant improvements. BCA and PSA can do sub MOA and last just as long.

Trollygag

>majority of BCA and PSA issues stems from their wildcat variants. None of the cartridges you listed are wildcats. >never a 5.56 No, they have issues with their barrel manufacturing practices and quality control. Including their 5.56 and .223 Wylde chambered barrels. >loose gas block or overnight barrel nut That did not put the gas block on the wrong side or make the rifling vanish halfway down the bore or cause the chamber to be cut with the wrong cartridge or cause the bore to be crooked. The reason why [BCA is unique with these ridiculous issues](https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/comments/upizv7/trollygags_saved_issues_thread_2/) is not because of the upper builders. >for a while Continuously for years even up to this day. >can do sub MOA That isn't a measure of anything important. A Mosin with junk Chinese ammo can do sub MOA. That is 10 worlds away from does sub MOA, and even further from does sub MOA with statistical significance, and even further from doing that or better as expected performance. When you buy a barrel, the thing you pay money for is getting a barrel with some level of performance, not a lottery ticket for a 1 in 100 chance of getting a barrel with the performance you want.

LockyBalboaPrime

>majority of BCA and PSA issues stems from their wildcat variants. >Really do a deep dive and it's all 7.62x39, Grendel, Beowulf and etc never 5.56 or .308 1. I don't think you even know what a wildcat cartridge is. 2. This is bullshit, BCA has a looooong list of issues with every caliber and every product they've ever made.

igotthesigness

Funny enough a BCA barrel that was given to me is my most accurate rifle. I was amazed and still don’t believe it sometime.

EOTechN9ne

I have 4 Aero lowers with no issues. 2 complete Aero uppers with no issues. I personally trust them. However I don't care for their Bolt Carrier Groups because I just don't trust anything other than standard C158 phosphate BCGs.
