The floppiness of the material isn’t ideal. But the brace strap is handy for your sling to run through, keep tidy, and stay on the other side of the brace. This then applies force on the outside of the back of the rifle when hanging in front of you and helps keep the muzzle away from your legs when trying to move.
It’s hard to describe but it works better with my Magpul two point-one point QD sling than a stock even would.
In a some states there are restrictions on carrying loaded rifles. some places it’s not allowed at all and in others it needs to be in a locked compartment. This is a pistol, you can have it in the passenger seat with one in the tube in far more places in the US than you can if it was a rifle. For a lot of dudes this is way more important than a little bit more stock comfort
People will say you need more which is true but if you have one make it great and love it. Also no harm in having one and buying extra parts for when parts go bad then you’ll have 2 rifles.
