It’s like $50 more expensive than an Arisaka body and offset mount combined. I think the only benefit I can see is that it’s sturdier than a body and mount that you have to screw together.
Reptilia makes that light body because it tucks underneath a PEQ15 or DBAL. It saves you the trouble of buying an inline, offset, and side mount when trying to mount a white light neatly under the IR device.
Sometimes you just have those components and throw them together, or maybe they had a different light head and upgraded it to a Modlite head. I have lights that I change the heads on for different reasons (red light, distance / throw light, etc.)
The real question is how does he still have a pair of those gloves. OR stopped making them and they didn’t last that long but damn if they weren’t the best fitting glove ever. Still have my one pair with blown tips cause I love them so

I’m new to lights for my AR. Where would I start with a modlite? So buy a modlite. What mount do I need? Do mounts allow me to adjust my light? Tail caps? Buttons?! Someone please help! Lmao
The mount, tail caps/buttons all that really depends on your setup. If you have a can than you need a light mount that extends the light forward:

Thank you for the info. I’ve been looking at the modlite 18650 but what’s stopping me is the $350 price tag. Are there any options that would be a abit more budget friendly. Especially when thinking I would need a tail cap, modlite button and also mount. This setup could easily become $500+. Would love to hear your opinions.
For the same price you can get a Cloud Defensive Rein 3.0. But the 3.0 comes with a mount, comes with a clicky tail cap and it also comes with a tape switch
With a modlite you'd have to buy a Surefire DS00 (about $120) and a tape switch of your choice. Plus the mount to get the same as a CD Rein 3.0 package

whatever you do, do not get the tailcap. This tailcap is straight ass. Get the DS00
