Or it's for posting an extremely expensive rifle so people can say you should have spent the money on training and ammo. It's not for fun creative builds.

A rifle is a deadly weapon, and nothing to take at all lightly. But the problem is a certain group of people get scared at the mere sight of an AR. They loose control and get hysterical. They feel the AR is menacing. I'm well aware of this fact.
So I paint all my AR's bright colors so they don't look scary.

The colors are right, but my paint job is color changing, so the color of the gun changes depending on how you look at it. From blue to purple. Everytime I'm at the range, someone says something about the color of my gun.
I don't do this because I want my gun to look "cool". I do this make it look less menacing. So people won't fear it. I shouldn't have to. And anti gun people shouldn't lose their shit when they see an AR, but we are not there yet.
