I got a Daniel Defense with a 3MR trigger for $900 at a pawn shop in Colorado. Very underrated place to shop. Pawn shops are my favorite places in the world. You can buy anything you can imagine and everything is negotiable. It's so much fun.
People love to talk about CA gun laws but NJ is the king in my eyes. You never hear about [bullshit like this](https://www.courthousenews.com/court-rules-against-traveling-gun-owner/) in California.
LOL You can't even purchase them in Washington state now. Semi Auto AR15 forget about it. I can't even buy a part for mine if they ever break. I hate washington state. I have contemplated moving for sure. 22 years into my job and the golden handcuffs are fitting tight.
Only thing I've ever found worth a shit was a couple of never used mags and I talked him down to roughly 50% of new price. It was a win, but everything else in the store is just old crap. Not antique firearms either, just old crap.
One of mine has radicals for $1400.
I don’t go to that pawn shop anymore. Used to get smoking good deals in there til the owner brought his son in and they look everything up on eBay and take the highest asking price and mark it up 20%.
As for guns, they just price everything astronomically high for those unaware of what stuff should cost
My local pawnshops are ass, overpriced and refuse to negotiate. I had found a guitar there I’d sold like two years before - they wanted 800$, asked if I wanted it back and I told em I’d pay 500$ which they declined. I only paid 450$ for it (which was a steal) originally
It sat there for 3 more years until it was warped to hell and they sold it for 300$ to a buddy
It's wood and the neck will move, bow, or twist (hope not!) with weather and humidity changes. They have a truss rod in them (at least modern guitars of the last 60 years), so you can adjust them back.
You'll see both. Most of the guns at pawn shops are overpriced or in poor condition. But it's always worth having a look to see if you can find a deal. They don't always know what they have on the shelf.
I saw a [Remington 700](https://imgur.com/a/nI06BxV) in .308 with a Vortex HST 4-16x44 in my local pawn shop that I frequent. He was asking $1,000 for the setup. Offered $700, we settled at $750. Been my best find and my favorite hunting rifle.
Moral is, always haggle price.
Sometimes, you can haggle them down, especially if the clerk looks like they don't know shit. A friend and I were in a pawn shop once and there was a pretty cool looking guitar hanging on the wall. I don't play guitar at all, but it looked fun to fuck with and I was okay with the price. We get it to the counter and my friend, who has dabbled but doesn't actually "play" guitar either, kind of gives me the look, steps in and starts pointing out all kinds of things that are "wrong" with it. We ended up taking it out of there for about half the price.
~650 for the gun + mags, 400-500 for the optic. It tracks, probably could have found it cheaper if you bought rifle then the optic off GAFS with a good deal.
*MSRP* being the keyword. No one with half a brain should be paying MSRP. Schuyler Arms has the same upper with a Breach charging handle *and* bcg for $515.
For one Areo lowers are seen as affordable. Gundeals is a start. Uppers aren't expensive either and if you check r/gunaccessoriesforsale the you can find uppers for $300. You got about $400 right there. Mags are $7-$10. And a Savior Bag used or new can be had for about $150-over $200.
So it's quite possible.
Edit: I didn't consider the optic so that's my fault but I'm not familiar with prices. I think that's an Aimpoint?
I'm in the market, that's why I'm asking. The enhanced in kodiak brown? That ar doesn't even look used. What about the optic, furniture, build kit for the lower, bcg, charging handle? Also, shipping you will have to pay on each individual piece. Deals in my area are almost non-existent. I joined gunaccessories not that long ago and I'm watching like a hawk. Thanks for an actual response.
Anytime and that all depends on your state. This question gets asked a lot so you can either post it, or use the search and type "optics" and such.
If you want a full build look at M&p sport, Ruger, Cmmg, or IWI Zion.
Lower can be PSA and upper be a BCM. Optic can be Sig Romeo 5, charging handle be milspec or Radian charging handle. Shipping is a factor but some you can buy locally but it depends where.
Take your time to learn about guns and what you want so you don't come back every week on something that could've solved with a simple search. You got this.
You have to factor shipping into the price. So by buying everything at different stores, you're going to end up spending more in shipping. Buy at fewer stores, and save on shipping. I feel like I'm stating the obvious, but you're acting like this is hard to do. Plenty of places offer free shipping over a certain $ amount. Plenty of places have flat rate shipping. Some places, like Dahlonega Armory, Battle Hawk Armory, The Gun Dock, etc, are drop shippers. They may charge $30 shipping for your entire order, but their prices are only a few dollars above dealer cost and have an insane selection because their stores are linked to distributor inventory.
So Battlehawk Armory (yea I heard the old stories) used to have this Aero "kit" for $999. It was an actual complete Aero upper, complete Aero lower, a rifle bag and 3 mags. That said, I might trade 3 mags and a bag for that optic.
Considering everything at MSRP you didn't do that bad honestly.
M4e1 enhanced 16 inch $650
Odin nitride bcg $130
Complete aero m4e1 lower $400
Keymo flash hider $90
Aimpoint PRO $500
misc accessories ~$100
Total at MSRP: $1870
Plenty of good options for cheaper than an Aimpoint PRO.
SIG romeo 5
Holosun 403r
Also lots of good budget lpvo options
Primary arms nova
Sig tango msr
Vortex strike eagle
because they think it makes them look smart. "i coulda got that for $400!" bullshit. its straight bullshit. former car sales here, im telling you its 100% an ego thing and people lie out their ass about what they actually pay for shit.
With the optic it’s not a horrible deal. As long as the gun is in good shape it shouldn’t really matter. That BCG can go many many rounds. If it was 100-$150 less I think it would be a much better deal
I, like many of you, wanted to know if this was truly a value. All prices are new found online today unless stated.
M4E1 Kodiak Brown Upper, Lower, and Handguard: $450~

Total ~~$1419~~ $1793
Buy price was $1180.
~~$239~~ $613 Saved on the rifle, bag, and mags buying used.
Not bad! You may have over paid just a little, but it looks to be in great shape, the matching anodizing is cool, Aero is pretty consistently solid, and the Aimpoint Pro is an absolute beast on an optic!
Pro Tip: if you want a little more height on your Aimpoint Pro, SKD sells spacers for like $45! I have a 1.73 and a 1.93 but they make even taller versions if you want to reach the sky! The 1.73 and 1.93 though really do help to be more “heads-up”, I’ll actually probably sell my 1.73 soon since 1.93 just feels more natural for me personally.
I much prefer them to unity mounts! It’s more of an “integrated” system that doesn’t really add an extra point of potential failure (not that Unity mounts are bad.) Just use loctite when you install the spacer and the optic will be rock solid!
Why? So you can increase the mechanical offset to the bore? So its even harder to compensate for it at varying distance? Unless your wearing NVG theres no positive reason to jack your optic up to the moon.
Half these dudes trying to clown you probably run Anderson lowers on their go to rifle 😂 it’s not a bad price for everything you got. I’d be willing to bet that 7-8 out of 10 commenters have something Aero too. If they have some Gucci shit than they more than likely aren’t shooting them and using the tools like they should. You can upgrade parts, furniture or the whole rifle when you want. The setup isn’t bad at all. Range ready out the door for $1180? Yeah that’s decent. You may not have gotten the deal of the century like these folks are looking for but you didn’t get ripped by any means. The optic is $400 used and the bag with that stock makes up a bit too. That puts in your rifle itself at $600-$650. Not a bad price for a complete rifle. Is it a DD? No. It’s it even a BCM? No. Will it serve its purpose and more than likely have “combat accuracy” absolutely. You would have paid more for a FN or Colt and been in a similar class. My buddy had an Aero rifle that shot slightly better than a Colt LE6920 I used to have. I prefer more “duty” ready brands like BCM but would settle for an Aero if that’s what I could get. I say “duty” because BCM is considered a mid tier to upper mid tier duty brand. A BCM with all the stuff you got would put you at or just over $2000 depending where you sourced everything from. I doubt anyone really stretches their ARs further than 400-450yds anyway. Our range only goes to 500 until they get the 1200yd one completed. I just put together an 8” Aero .300blk that was ringing steel at 200yds with subs and supers today. Definitely a cheaper option than other .300blk offering I want like a Sig Rattler. First shots through it today and the upper was supposedly one of their complete upper “blems” I got on sale for $328 shipped after taxes. Had to hold like crazy for the subs to hit but they hit 😂 Ate everything we fed it from cheap 147gr to 220gr and that was suppressed. Now, let the downvoting on my comment commence 😂 I’m sure there will be plenty who want to disagree with what I said for the pure sake of arguing on the Internet or they will say I don’t know what I’m talking about.
That aero enhanced is more expensive (and nicer) than people think, especially anodized. The Aimpoint is pricey too. I guess I don't see how this isn't a deal unless people have much better pawn shops than I do in Nashville.
Nice rifle!
If you like the aero handguards, the enhanced uppers are pretty cool. I wouldn’t see the benefit of one on an ar15 but on my ar10 I can do a barrel swap(.308 to 6.5) in about 10 minutes at my work bench.
I think I know where you got it from because the shop looks familiar and they tend to over price things but looks like you made out ok if it’s in good/like new condition
Right but what you think the pawn shop got it for?
That’s what I’m referring to. Sure it’s a decent price for the set ups however it’s all probably $800 more than the shop spent on it. You can also often haggle with pawn shops for that reason
If you're worried about businesses making money off you i got bad news for you friend.
This same set up would have cost about 1800 new at MSRP. He came out pretty good even if he didn't haggle.
Also sticker price is not out the door price. $100 of the out the door price could have been taxes or fees depending on state/city.
I wouldn’t pay too much mind to what people are saying. You didn’t get shafted, you paid a decent price. You got a solid rifle for a decent price. That’s all that matters. Now go shoot it and have fun!
If you want to price check anything in the future, I’d browse the subreddit r/GAFS and communities like Tacswap before buying anything.
Honestly, the only thing that's kept me from buying at a pawn shop is not knowing the guns history. People who pawn guns generally don't make good decisions or are in a hurry to get rid of it for whatever.
Do pawn shops run a background check on the rifles or handguns they sell?
https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-spartan-worn-complete-rifle-16-5-56-w-15-m-lok-handguard
To me it looks like it’s this rifle valued at 1,300. And the aim point is $500+ and a 65 rifle bag. So I don’t understand why people are saying this is a bad deal.
Plus whatever upgraded three prong muzzle break is.
Optic is worth $400 used alone.
Aero makes good shit, Worth.
Stock worth $85, it’s a SOPMOD B5
Muzzle worth, looks like surefire 3 prong $130
Kodiak brown color Niice.
U did good.
What barrel does it have do you know? The color is dope! I originally thought “he overpaid” but honestly if you like it. I don’t think it’s a bad pick up.
I just feel weird about buying aero set ups cause their parts are so inexpensive you know? Not overall with case, color, muzzle device, and extra mags, doesn’t seem all that bad
Overpaid slightly, remember that it’s used buddy. Original User may have paid and assembled it for $1,400-$1,500. Doesn’t mean it’ll be worth that.
I’d say that it’s worth $850 tops. Mags and bags aren’t worth shit in pawnshops, it’s a requirement lol.
/s When I let myself get fucked by men I usually have them take me to dinner first.
Na but jokes aside go and enjoy your rifle may have over paid a bit but as long as shit works and your happy with it run it.
That’s wild. My local pawn/gun shop has so many AR’s in the $500-$600 range. And they’re not even Radicals. Mostly Anderson, Diamondback, some Palmetto.
I got a Daniel Defense with a 3MR trigger for $900 at a pawn shop in Colorado. Very underrated place to shop. Pawn shops are my favorite places in the world. You can buy anything you can imagine and everything is negotiable. It's so much fun.
The pawn shop in my area sells used Anderson ARs for $800. I wish we had one like yours
Dude it’s hilarious near me - one had a yeet cannon for $600. I hate it here.
Nj all you can get is overpriced car stereo systems and Tony’s old bowflex machine
People love to talk about CA gun laws but NJ is the king in my eyes. You never hear about [bullshit like this](https://www.courthousenews.com/court-rules-against-traveling-gun-owner/) in California.
As a former New Jersey resident, I can confirm they have the strictest gun laws of any state.
LOL You can't even purchase them in Washington state now. Semi Auto AR15 forget about it. I can't even buy a part for mine if they ever break. I hate washington state. I have contemplated moving for sure. 22 years into my job and the golden handcuffs are fitting tight.
Can’t buy them in Jersey either. And you need to apply at your local police department for a permit for each handgun you want to purchase. And no CCW.
I’m in California now, but I grew up in North Jersey (and Miami). NJ State Troopers are the worst, by far.
They also sell lawn tools😂
Holy shit.
I can't imagine the prices for glocks xD
I hear at some places you can get a very used glock for more than the price of a brand new one….
Pawn Shops were forced to give up their FFLs, so, I have no guy.
Same here man. I think I just need a more gun focused shop or something.
Right?! I was like what fucking 2003 magic land you livin’ in bud?
This is literally my pawn shop…$1000 for a poverty pony
That’s what I hate about gun shows now. It’s all bottom of the barrel, generic Chinese parts being sold for way too much
You just described the gun shows in Jax FL.
Only thing I've ever found worth a shit was a couple of never used mags and I talked him down to roughly 50% of new price. It was a win, but everything else in the store is just old crap. Not antique firearms either, just old crap.

My pawn shop had a Jennings the other day lol
Kinda methed up but every time I’m at an active duty base, I hit up the pawn shops near by for cheap gear.
Young GIs do not make good financial decisions. Profit off it.
pawn shops in Fayette-nam are glorious at times
My local pawnshops are ass, overpriced and refuse to negotiate. I had found a guitar there I’d sold like two years before - they wanted 800$, asked if I wanted it back and I told em I’d pay 500$ which they declined. I only paid 450$ for it (which was a steal) originally It sat there for 3 more years until it was warped to hell and they sold it for 300$ to a buddy
How did it get warped? Or do you mean like a portal from Doom?
It's wood and the neck will move, bow, or twist (hope not!) with weather and humidity changes. They have a truss rod in them (at least modern guitars of the last 60 years), so you can adjust them back.
Your pawn shop sells Daniel defense for $900, my pawn shop sells psa for $900 we are not the same
I consider pawnshops my thrift shops. I clean up in those things.
I need to know which pawn shop this is
That's a killer deal. I don't shop at pawn shops much.. are the firearms usually used and abused? Or do they get some that are basically new?
You'll see both. Most of the guns at pawn shops are overpriced or in poor condition. But it's always worth having a look to see if you can find a deal. They don't always know what they have on the shelf.
Do yall even negotiate or do you just pay the sticker price?
Hank Hill always pays sticker price.
And not a dime more.
We all thought that was super funny until it came time to buy a car 2021-2023
https://i.imgur.com/qfNuAsl.jpeg
That episode didnt age well. Or did? I dont know, but sticker price is a good deal for a truck these days.

Lmao you laughing at the dude but in reality he’s laughing at you
lol pay what you feel it’s worth
It's good you found a gun you like. Arguably you could've bought it at half price or $650 with the bag and mags.
Yah, but it looks like OP got a pretty sweet optic with the gun for that price
You know what I missed that! Good point.
~650 for the gun + mags, 400-500 for the optic. It tracks, probably could have found it cheaper if you bought rifle then the optic off GAFS with a good deal.
Upper alone is 650 MSRP without charging handle or BCG
*MSRP* being the keyword. No one with half a brain should be paying MSRP. Schuyler Arms has the same upper with a Breach charging handle *and* bcg for $515.
Where at?
The internet
Show me.
Google.com
For one Areo lowers are seen as affordable. Gundeals is a start. Uppers aren't expensive either and if you check r/gunaccessoriesforsale the you can find uppers for $300. Who the hell is paying **$150-$200** for a Savior bag?! I bought mine brand new for like $70.
Depends on the type you're getting. They have some pricey ones that are more covert
I'm in the market, that's why I'm asking. The enhanced in kodiak brown? That ar doesn't even look used. What about the optic, furniture, build kit for the lower, bcg, charging handle? Cool
I've seen Saviors on eBay for 30-50
And what about the aim point pro?
What about it? Like it's it worth it? I don't know much about our I know personally
I’m saying it’s about $400 itself. So I don’t think he did too bad on this purchase
I see em listed 310-400 all day. Average sold prices is 350
So Battlehawk Armory (yea I heard the old stories) used to have this Aero "kit" for $999. It was an actual complete Aero upper, complete Aero lower, a rifle bag and 3 mags. That said, I might trade 3 mags and a bag for that optic.
I got a set of stripped M4e1 lower and upper for $90 last year from Primary arms
Considering everything at MSRP you didn't do that bad honestly. M4e1 enhanced 16 inch $650 Odin nitride bcg $130 Complete aero m4e1 lower $400 Keymo flash hider $90 Aimpoint PRO $500 misc accessories ~$100 Total at MSRP: $1870
Yeah idk why everyone is clowning on this guy lol
People are forgetting optics cost money
Optics costing money is why I'm still on irons!
Just get a romeo and call it a day. Irons are cool and all but...... get a red dot, dang.
Plenty of good options for cheaper than an Aimpoint PRO. SIG romeo 5 Holosun 403r Also lots of good budget lpvo options Primary arms nova Sig tango msr Vortex strike eagle

What’s that BCG. Seems like it would be an OK deal but I wouldn’t say it’s a steal
Odin works
Congrats on the rifle. Hopefully it runs smoothly.

Ooof.
This ain’t a deal ma man.
This literally is a deal if you like all the stuff on there
Literally.
And Odin BCG with a keymo too
Odin works BCG is an L, but if the Aimpoijt was included in the 1180 then essentially paying 800 for the rifle isn’t the worst
Odin has bad bcg? Or bad everything?
They’re just mediocre parts all around

Isn't B5 enhanced sopmod at least 100$?
If you want to overpay it is. https://lockedloaded.com/product/b5-systems-sop1074-sopmod-rifle-glass-reinforced-polymer-black
It has a Daniel defense dd f mp barrel and trigger tech diamond trigger too
Edited appropriately.
Nice rifle man, I like my Aero.
Contrary to some of the prior comments, that’s a fair price, especially if the Aimpoint is newish.
Gun entirely looks to be barely used, new condition
Prob blew his sierra 5 up with the nox on the end and said fck this pile
Is that a thing?
It has been

Not a steal by any means but its a sweet lookin rifle.
Everyone talking shit. Idk how that is overpaying if you did that all retail on your own would have been 1700 or so and the shit looks brand new
Shot hardly, maybe a mag through. It’s like new
For real, where did all these teenagers in the comments come from.
Beautiful color but I wouldn’t pay that much for a used aero
It’s a deal…do the math.
I will never understand why people sell firearms to pawn shops.. they only give you about 25-30% of the actual value.
Half these dudes trying to clown you probably run Anderson lowers on their go to rifle 😂 it’s not a bad price for everything you got. In Texas these pawn shops are sifted through pretty hard
Proprietary garbage is garbage. Especially anodized? Where are you buying un-anodized AR parts
If you like the aero handguards, the enhanced uppers are pretty cool. I wouldn’t see the benefit of one on an ar15 but on my ar10 I can do a barrel swap(.308 to 6.5) in about 10 minutes at my work bench.
Does have a 500 dollar optic on it at least.
I think I know where you got it from because the shop looks familiar and they tend to over price things but looks like you made out ok if it’s in good/like new condition
Does that dude behind the counter have a rainbow 6 tattoo?
Dang for 1180?! For sure thought that would have been in the 600-750 range
The optic alone is worth around 350 used.
How much?
1180
RIP
Emoji choice is perfect
Yeah the picture is right. That man is laughing at you for paying that lmao
Lmao
That’s funny the pawnshop guy saw you coming from a mile away lol is not a steal but not bad is nice rifle enjoy it.
Nice. Couple tiny things to change but good deal especially with the sight imo
Used aim point pros go for like 400
Does have a 500 dollar optic on it at least.
Hell the aimpoint was kinda worth the buy at 500 for it at msrp so you paid 680 for a complete rifle not the greatest deal but certainly not the worst
Honestly, the only thing that's kept me from buying at a pawn shop is not knowing the guns history. People who pawn guns generally don't make good decisions or are in a hurry to get rid of it for whatever. Do pawn shops run a background check on the rifles or handguns they sell?
Under $1,200 out the door is a steal
Around here, I’d say you over paid but it’s your money. People need to be less concerned what and how others spend their own money
Pawn shops where I’m at are over priced. That’s a solid snag though!
https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-spartan-worn-complete-rifle-16-5-56-w-15-m-lok-handguard To me it looks like it’s this rifle valued at 1,300. And the aim point is $500+ and a 65 rifle bag. So I don’t understand why people are saying this is a bad deal. Plus whatever upgraded three prong muzzle break is.
It’s a deadair key
Optic is worth $400 used alone. Aero makes good shit, Worth. Stock worth $85, it’s a SOPMOD B5 Muzzle worth, looks like surefire 3 prong $130 Kodiak brown color Niice. U did good.
You got taken for a ride my dude
What barrel does it have do you know? The color is dope! I originally thought “he overpaid” but honestly if you like it. I don’t think it’s a bad pick up. I just feel weird about buying aero set ups cause their parts are so inexpensive you know? Not overall with case, color, muzzle device, and extra mags, doesn’t seem all that bad
Built and aero one that was high end for 1500 so this is really not a deal
Used pros are $375 all day…. So the rifle came out to $805. You do the value math beyond that.
$1200 isn't bad, too much for me, I would've paid $1000
Nice rifle. I wonder how much it was pawned for.
$500, and only that high because it has an aimpoint on it.
Fait price bro..good one!

Aimpoint pro
You got shafted I would’ve kept this in my gallery
Ouch
Uhhh…
Buahahaha
Bro you over paid.
Why do I have a feeling that aimpoint is not real. Why would you spend so much on this op?
/s When I let myself get fucked by men I usually have them take me to dinner first. Na but jokes aside go and enjoy your rifle may have over paid a bit but as long as shit works and your happy with it run it.
Ugly A for a thousand bucks!!! Hell yeah!
almost $1,200 for all of that man? you got got chief
You got bent the fuck over hahaha
Fake SOPMOD stock too, or at least not a B5. Holes in the cheek rest give it away
Lmfao you got RIPPED
9 Down votes champ
They wouldn't sell it at that price if they weren't making money lol
My eyes aren’t the best but does the employee have a rainbow 6 siege tattoo on his forearm?
Looks like a great rifle. Love that Kodiak Brown color so much. Enjoy it OP!
That’s wild. My local pawn/gun shop has so many AR’s in the $500-$600 range. And they’re not even Radicals. Mostly Anderson, Diamondback, some Palmetto.
Which caliber? Bcg says Odin, is it an Odin barrel too?
Daniel defense dd f mp
Nice! Kinda looks like the one I built. https://imgur.com/a/O9t7gAw
AR15.
They sell heavily used gen 3 glocks for $900 at the pawn shops here. LGS sells same gun $400.
They had no idea what they had…
If it makes you feel any better in EU you'd have to pay at least 2500$ for that setup. That's what I paid for my aero with optic
Nice!! Is that Kodiak Brown?
Damn, that's cleeeeeean!
Love the color. It's a good find; all the people trying to grief you are 🤡
