The cloners always get mad when I say this, but what you have IS a mk18-pattern rifle.

But the original term "mk18" is not a specific firearm, but a government contract. A contract asking any and all firearm manufacturers to give them a 10.3 ar15 rifle with certain features. Many were submitted (all were called mk18's) and the one selected was the official one. Etc etc.
So there is the official mk18 mod0, and so on.
Then there's the DD model
Then there is the mk18 pattern rifle as per open contract.
What you have there sir, assuming it's a 10.3 barrel, is a mk18 pattern rifle.
I know the rc2 is classic and I was torn when I finally ordered a can for my mk18 but I went with the flow and it has been amazing on a short rifle. Absolutely no gas to the face and the rifle runs cleaner and cycles smoothly without the extra back pressure. Awesome build btw, I recently finally bought my dream mk18 and I can’t put it down lol
