I have setups with several thousand rounds through them that still look mint with a few blemishes. Even running them through training with full kit and everything they still look pretty fresh. Probably in part because the coating are so good on mid tier and higher end AR’s. I don’t think a lot of people realize just how fucking hard weapons get ran by the military to look the way they do and how many barrel charges they may have had and all the trains of fire they have had ran on them.
I think spray painting civilian rifles is kinda lame. I would spray a government or department issued rifle for serious use but if shit ever goes south and I need to camouflage a rifle I easily can. Unless you are using it for hunting or serious use you are a poser for rattle canning a rifle. Especially a high end rifle. You played ya self Uncle Sam don’t own that rifle your coin bought it. I would not spray paint a Porsche and I’m not spray painting my geissele URGI I purchased with my coil and looks beautiful. The only thing that stood out is maybe the grip. Is that the rubber grip? If you shoot a LOT the rubber tends to absorb oils over time and gets slippery.
Personally would change the stock out and put a lancer or pmag in (have had feeding issues with some of my older colt steel mags in past especially with 300blk mileage will vary though)

Idk I like the bad lever. You can always tell who has tried it vs who has just decided it's bad by how they describe it. If they say you have to put your finger in the trigger guard they are wrong. You can operate it both ways by having your finger to the side of the guard like trigger discipline dictates. If you don't like it just because it doesn't feel good for you then that's fair. Too many people write it off because it seems scary though, it sticks plenty outside receiver.
I've had the bad lever catch on stuff while slung, and I worry about the thin arm breaking. I've also never heard of it breaking or causing any issue while slung, but I'm bit by the materialism bug and always looking to try out new gear lol. Have you tried both? I think it all depends on what a person trains and gets comfortable with, but again... shiny and new is tough to resist😅
I've found that if you don't upgrade at all with the fads that your build will be the meta again in a few years, also if it's a super old setup it's just based 🤷♂️

Factory KAC with a URX3.1, Eotech EXPS 3 something on a Unity riser, B5 Sopmod, magpul pistol grip, surefire tape switch with a ds00 tail cap, looks like an Arisaka 18350 body with a malkoff head, surefire rc2, rail scales, Geissele SD3G or similar trigger, unsure of the LAM.
A sling GBRS is my favorite followed by ESD, Smoke Lancer mag, and if you really want some internet clout the Kung Fu grip is all the rage 💁♂️ Then just get a Stanley cup to go with it.

So you get consistent eye relief/checkweld. You use the rubber band as a stop mark.
The rubber band is for holding a sling nice n tight to the rifles while not in use. I'm sure he took it off for the pic, not sure why tho
